Designing Love, Book Three in the Calderone Family Romance series, is a smart and sassy stand-alone romcom.

I was hooked to this book the first chapter. There’s so much personality in this book but it all works. I loved the characters and you couldn’t help but know how the book would end BUT you HAD to read it! I’m going to go back to books 1 & 2 now, but you can read this as a stand alone. The dialect between Caroline and Charles makes this a great read. I can’t help be being drawn to Carolines character for her quick whit and career oriented she is. I suggest reading this book if you like a good romance novel!
Trying to balance careers and love is hard, but can be rewarding and I found that within this novel. The connection between the two main characters Caroline and Charles to be genuine and rewarding. They have a chemistry and personalities that both are different enough to keep things interesting but similar enough to have things in common. I found their banter to be witty and funny. They are characters with true depth and it’s shown in the writing of their romance. This is a great read and I highly recommend it to anyone that loves romance!
These two are so intertwined I can’t help but see them get together or not. The friend connection, the relative connection and their jobs all make them an easy mark. But what’s not so easy are their personalities…they are like oil and water at times then others..PBJ. I just never knew what I was getting from page to page. Happy couple or fighting couple. I will say that her nastiness at the job did get old when she should be in the happy happy stage of love. I struggled with Caroline more than once and it was both her attitude and actions that caused me to question her. It kinda turned Charles into a begging man which I didn’t really think fit him at all. He is a kind romantic guy. These two have many highs and lows between them.
Overall it’s a nice story. I did read it fairly quickly. The secondary characters (his family and Casey) added some much fun to this story.
Designing Love (The Calderone Family Romance Series Book 3) by Victoria Grant was a cute and sexy read. I instantly fell in love with the Calderone Family! The main focus in this book is Caroline and Charles, from the first interaction you could sense the steam. I definitely rolled my eyes at Carolines stubbornness, but still loved her. The story was well paced and I loved the journey that I got to take. It was a romantic, funny, and steamy read!
This was my first introduction to this series and I loved every page. I didn’t feel at a disadvantage not having the previous books but enjoyed this one so much will be looking to add the rest of the series to my library. Grant writes a fantastic story with great ebb and flow. I found the main characters and their relationship to have great depth and wit. Truly enjoyed reading this and looking forward to more from this author.
Designing Love (The Calderone Family Romance Book 3) by Victoria Grant is a smart and sassy contemporary romance. It is also a comedy that kept a smile on my face and bursting out laughing at times. It is funny and witty, full of banter and antics but also has drama. Victoria made the characters realistic but sometimes I just wanted to shake Caroline and tell her to pull her head in but Charles was her saving grace. It is well written and will certainly cause you warm and fuzzies. Although this book is the third in the series I managed to pick up the story and run with it but I will be going back to read the first two.
Designing Love by Victoria Grant is the third book in the Calderone Family Romance series. This book can be read as a stand-alone, it does not have to be read in order.
This is the first book I have read by this author and I found it to be a highly enjoyable one. It was a well written story that knew how to catch your attention.
The characters were a really good match as well. At times I found Caroline to be a little too argumentative – almost like she was doing it for the sake of arguing – but Charles was a great offset to this. It all seemed to work very well and produced a couple that I wanted to see together.
Although not the first in the series it was an easy book to get into and follow and has definitely piqued my interest. I will be going back to read the first two books.
This is my first read by Victoria Grant and this is also the third book in her Calderone Family Romance Series. I didn’t struggle with not having read the others but I look forward to seeing what the other books are like now that I finished them. These novels revolve around a sexy set of rich brothers in the Caldrone Family. In this novel we get to follow the smexy Charles, a dedicated architect, and what happens when Carolyn has to work together to design a new office building. Things takeoff and a comedy and romantic story that follows. I loved the push and pull between Charles and Carolyn they did seem to come across as meant for each other eventually and their banter keeps things light hearted and fun as you read. I look forward to seeing who we will meet next in the family and getting my hands on those other novels that came before. Always is a bonus when I find a new author that I enjoy as it seems to open a whole new world of reading for my nerdy self to devour. I can’t wait to see what will come next for the family and who we will get to meet. I am also about to go one-click the previous books asap!
3 ½ Stars
Designing Love is the third book in The Calderone Family Romance series by Victoria Grant. This is my first read from Ms. Grant, and as I have been known to do- I jumped on board the series part way through. Luckily this book, and series, can be read as standalones.
I discovered a sassy contemporary romantic comedy with enough drama, banter, and antics to keep me entertained. The characters are realistic and believable- they are fully developed with their own unique personalities, quirks and flaws. Caroline drove me crazy with her temper, somewhat aggressive assertiveness, and argumentative manner. I found it a little hard to connect with her because of my frustrations. But the story was well written, and I liked Charles, so those things kind of balanced the experience for me.
I am curious about the other characters who are a part of this series- and will probably go back to read the other two books so I can familiarize myself with them and their stories.
So, if you like strong sassy female leads, drama, power struggles, and romantic comedy- then you will want to add ‘Designing Love’ to your library.
Happy Reading!
Thank you, Victoria Grant!
I enjoyed this book. This is my first book by this author and I look forward to reading more from her. This is a well written story that I found to be engaging and fast paced. I had no problem connecting to the characters as they made the story come to life. This is a story about the rules you set for yourself and realizing that sometimes they are meant to be broken. Caroline has made her career the most important thing in her life. She has one rule, no relationships but when she is selected for a new job will Charles change her mind? Charles is the VP of his family business. He knows that there is more to his life than just work. When he meets Caroline, he can’t seem to get her out of his head. Will he get her to break her rule? These are great characters that I enjoyed from beginning to end. I enjoyed the banter back and forth which kept me turning pages. I found myself wanting them to have a happy ever after. I highly recommend reading this book to find out if fate lets them get the happiness they deserve.
I’ve read the first two books in the Calderone Family Romance series and have loved them. I was highly anticipating book 3 and it did NOT disappoint. It’s the best in the series, because each one keeps getting better – or is it that I just fall in love all over with this family? I mean, gorgeous rich brothers? Who wouldn’t fall in love with them?
This installment of the series revolved around golden-haired Charles and a smart, dedicated, no-nonsense architect, Carolyn, who happens to be Casie Calderone’s best friend and maid-of-honor. Yes, we get a Calderone wedding right at the beginning of the book!
Charles ends up working with Carolyn to design a new office complex for the Calderone family business. And this is when things heat up.
I can’t get enough of the Calderone romances, and devoured this sexy rom-com like it was a hot fudge sundae with extra whipped cream on top! The only downside to finishing it, is now I have to wait for the next book in the series!
