Rae has a secret — one she can’t allow any wolf pack to discover. But with an old enemy hot on her heels, she has no option but to trust Zack, the man from the wrong side of the tracks. Taking off on the back of Zack’s Harley seems like good idea at first, but when she lowers her defenses for the captivating coyote shifter, she might just be risking it all.
The new she-wolf in town may be … may be strictly off-limits, but Zack just can’t keep away. When the thrill of the chase gets his blood pumping in more ways than one, he’s ready to overstep every boundary and break every rule. Destiny says she’s his—but the pack’s ruling alpha says she belongs to another.
There’s more than meets the eye on Twin Moon Ranch, home to a pack of shapeshifting wolves willing to battle for life and love.

I loved everything about this story, the strong female lead, the loveable guys, and the action. I can’t wait to read more of the series.
Rae is a wolf with a secret. Zach is a wolf/coyote shifter and tracker at the Twin Moon Ranch. Rae has has moved around a bit, from home in Colorado to Nevada to the Twin Moon Ranch in Arizona. This was a fast easy read, that was very enjoyable. It drew me in quickly and didn’t let go until it was over. Great into the the Wolves of the Twin Moon Ranch series.

~ 5 Desert Hunt Stars ~
Desert Hunt is the prequel to The Wolves of Twin Moon Ranch series by Anna Lowe. Wither you read the series in order or out, you will fall in love with the characters and world.
Fabulous! Amazing! Another winner! ALowe is an amazing writer. This novella has everything I have come to love from ALowe. Amazing characters, great plot and world, conflict, and romance. I was pulled in from begging to end. We are introduced to some amazing characters that are well defined and easy to connect with. I became so involved that I felt for each and everyone wither they where the secondary characters or our leads. Rae and Zack complemented each other. I enjoyed the lead up to Rae’s secret and learning about Zack. The plot is enjoyable and the world is interesting. I also liked seeing the characters in their earlier period. It foreshadowing to what is to come for some.
Desert Hunt is full of suspense, action, and romance. I highly recommending picking up The Wolves of Twin Moon Ranch series. Each book is unique and brilliant written. I can’t wait for more from ALowe.

From action packed hunting scenes to the descriptions of majestic landscapes, this book keeps you desiring the next page! True love of the characters and between Zack and Rae themselves.
Zack , a mix of Wolf and Coyote is considered worthless, but he has hidden strengths that he keeps in control because of duty. Rae, a Wolf in her on right has her own secrets that she hides as she runs and makes her way as she searches for the perfect pack. But does the “Perfect” Pack exist anymore? Tyranny, Brutes, Alpha Beasts, are there any true, honest wolves anymore? Are feels she has to keep running, even when her own Wolf tries to tell her otherwise. Zack feels worthless and is treated that way by the Alpha at every turn, but when he runs across Rae’s scent, he cannot get her out of his mind. But when her past comes up to haunt her, everything goes to hell in a hand basket.
I enjoyed this book and will be looking to read the rest of this series.
Rae comes across as a submissive wolf at first until you realise she is just biding her time. She is extremely special. You will have to read this book to find out about her.
Zack is lovely, I just wanted to grab him up and never let him go. He has grown into an admirable person even though he had a rotten childhood and was looked upon as less due to being both wolf and coyote. To me that just made him stronger. He toes the line and does his job to keep the peace. I believe he could have been alpha if he wanted to but he was not interested.
Rae and Zack are perfect for each other but there are of course a few hiccups to their HEA.
A good shifter read with a dislikeable Alpha who you will boo at for trying to force a mating and some other great characters all waiting to tell their story.
This book is very simple. With minor changes it would make a good young adult fiction book. Storyline seems aimed at a younger audience. Too cliche for my taste. The “secret” of the story was simplistic, very little nuance. Good characters.
