Independent Evie Goodacre has run away from her isolated mountain home to escape her abusive father and brothers. The only good thing they ever did was teach her how to hunt, trap, fish, and shoot as well as any man. She’d lived with their criminal ways for the eight years since her beloved mother died, but now that they were insisting on giving her to one of their despicable criminal cohorts, … she knew she had to escape.
All Deputy Aaron Glover wanted was to get away for a few days and relax at his family’s old cabin. He never dreamed this getaway would lead him into the adventure of his life, much less lead him to a woman who might satisfy his particular desires. If only Evie would mind him!
Publisher’s Note: This steamy Old West romance contains elements of power exchange.

The storyline was well written and the characters were so well detailed that I couldn’t put this book down until the very last page was turned!
The book blurb pretty accurately describes this story. Runaway Evie is a refreshing innocent who, after a few days in Aaron’s company, discovers she enjoys his particular brand of loving and chastisement. The characters, the setting, and the plot are interesting. This is my first read by this author and I enjoyed it a lot. 4.5 stars.

Shot Gun Wedding is Not so Bad
This entire series Big Rock Romance series is fabulous. The book is the third in the series, and each book gets better than the one before.
I love this type of book with its historical approach to supposedly simpler times the Western era.
Evie Goodacre is only twenty now, and her dad and five brothers raised her after her mother died either prior. But her criminal family do not care for her. The only reason they taught her to take care of herself as well as any man, including fishing, shooting, setting snares, hunting is so they would not have to do it. Their motives were anything but sweet just plain selfish, but because of it, she has become an independent woman.
Her father is planning to give her to one of his criminal cronies as payment, and he is pure evil.
Evie has been walking for weeks after she finally was able to escape her family. And with the storm brewing, she was so lucking to find a vacant cabin just in time.
She cleaned it and set out to take a bath and wash her clothes which was her brother’s hand-me-downs.
Deputy Aaron Glover wanted to take a few days to rest at this families old cabin in the woods. He was shocked when he arrived to find it not only occupied but with a naked woman.
With neither one of them being a threat to one another, she fixed them something to eat, and they got to know each other.
Evie told him bits and pieces of family, and he realized she was in real danger. They had to leave immediately and get her to safety in Big Rock.
On the way, he told her they were going to stop at a friends house so she could borrow a dress from Molly.
Of course, she balked at that, and he was not happy. A dinner party was going on at Molly’s when they got there.
While they were there Evie, who is one naive girl answered their question as to how she and Aaron met. Before they knew it, they were in a shotgun wedding where the minister married them then and there.
Aaron was not particularly upset about it as Evie was not manipulative; she naively told the truth. As he already felt she was the perfect girl for him.
The chemistry between them is hot and sizzling. This book is one hilarious thriller. I laugh so hard I think it echoed through the valley. There is a mystery, suspense, tons of surprises and twist and turns you never see coming.
The characters are loveable; the plot well wrote, so it grabbed me and held my attention until the end of the book.
What happens when her criminal dad and brothers come to town along with the criminal cohort her dad promised to have her?
Aaron is not happy with the abuse these men have continuously put his wife through besides she is off-limits now. Whatever it takes to keep what is his safe and sound is his motto.

Evie’s running. It’s hard and she’s tired, so she’s in heaven when she finds a vacant cabin. Aaron, a deputy in Big Rock, is headed for his family’s cabin for some much-needed R & R. Imagine his surprise when he walks in to find Evie. Naked. After a few days, they head back toward town, but the preacher is concerned that Aaron may have compromised Evie’s virtue, so they wed. Right then and there. He really loves her, and takes his promise seriously to protect her. But he needs her help – she has to obey him so he can keep her safe. If not, she’ll find herself in a heap of trouble, punishable by some good old-fashioned over-the-knee type of discipline. This is the third book in the series – I’ve read and totally enjoyed all of them. You can tell that Evie and Aaron are meant for each other, even with such a short time between when they met and married. The story has a little bit of drama, and a whole bunch of hot lovin’. This can be read as a stand-alone, but I really enjoyed knowing the other characters from the previous books.

The third book in the Big Rock Romance series a story that kept me on the edge of my seat as I read. A well written book with a very good storyline. Evie Goodacre sure did have a lot to put up with her family,I glad she ran away and meet Deputy Aaron Glover and what a meeting that was. This book had me smiling as I read. This book is a bit different than most in its genre. The author incorporated BDSM elements including exhibitionism in addition to the domestic discipline typical of historical western spanking romance. The result is a very interesting and entertaining story about Big Rock’s deputy and a stranger named Evie. The romance is quick to develop and the self-sufficient Evie must explore her submissive side as well as overcome her inhibitions. Elements of danger and suspense are not as prevalent as in the previous books in the series. If you’ve read them, this book is a must-read but if you haven’t, this book could stand alone easily.

Book 3 in this series is, like the others, completely standalone. This means that you can quite easily not have read the other books & still read & enjoy this book. For me, the strength of this book is in the characters. I absolutely adored Evie – what a delight to read about her. The interaction that she has with Aaron is highly entertaining & brings a welcome level of fun to the story. The storyline was ok, but for me, this book was all about the characters.
Enjoyed the story. After her brothers threaten to give her to another man Evie packs up and leaves home. After traveling for quite a while, Evie comes upon an old cabin and decides to spend the night. At the same time, Aaron the owner of the cabin arrives to spend the week fishing. There is an attraction between them and later they find themselves married. There is a lot that happens in this story and it makes for an interesting read, which at times are comical. There is a HEA and there is a lot of sexual play happening. I would recommend this book.
This time it is the deputy’s turn to find love. Actually, he stumbles upon it, as he encounters Evie, who is running away from her evil father and older brothers, hoping to find her aunt and hopefully a better life. She never dreamed she would find Aaron. She and Aaron are immediately drawn to each other, as they find they enjoy working together and talking as they both unexpectedly meet at Aaron’s little cabin in the middle of nowhere. They are both hesitate though to express their romantic feelings for one another as they don’t want to interfere with the other one’s life and plans. But when Aaron finds out who Evie really is, as in whose family she is running from, he insists on her coming back to Big Rock with him, so he can keep her safe. He has already spanked her, as like his fellow male friends in Big Rock, he believes the man to be in charge and responsible for keeping the females in his life safe and respectful. This story definitely has a different twist to it from the other Big Rock stories, and it is refreshing to see an author that can be creative in her writing. It is an excellent read.

Good story. I don’t like spanking but the story was good and I enjoyed it very much. (I just skipped over the parts I did not want to read.) LOL I received a complimentary review copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving a honest review.
This is a new author to me, and I had no issues with this book even though it’s #3 in the series. The characters are great, especially Evie and Aaron. The story is interesting and fun to read. I found this book to be a quick enjoyable read.

Great writing by Ms. Nolan.
I have really enjoyed this series in this addition Aaron Glover meets Evelina ‘Evie’ Goodacre. Evie is on the run and she runs right into Aaron. Would you believe that a shotgun wedding might be their future along with some serious dangers? The sizzling chemistry, some laugh out loud moments and discipline with love is what you find in this historical romance. There is a revisiting of characters from the first two books and we get to meet another very interesting couple great writing by Ms. Nolan. This is a book you really should check out if this is a theme you enjoy it is worth having. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
This is the third book in the Big Rock series and it does not disappoint. Deputy Aaron is on his yearly vacation when he comes across a stowaway at his ancestral cabin. Evie is on the run from her abusive brothers and the man they want to give her to. Aaron is able to convince Evie that she will be safer in Big Rock, so she follows him home. After her innocent description of how they met causes the preacher to marry them, Aaron is even more interested in keeping safe from her brothers and anyone else who wants to put her in danger… even herself.

This is Evie and Aaron’s story. Evie is the youngest in a family of six, with five older brothers. Her mother died when she was twelve and her father turned to being an outlaw and took her brothers with him. Evie wanted nothing to do with it and left. She meets Aaron along the way and they decide, with a little help from the reverend, to marry. Their intimate relationship becomes one of exploration and openness.
I really enjoyed reading this story. A bit farfetched, but fun. I read this book through KU.
This story was a sweet blend of humor, romance and drama. Evie and Aaron are both likeable characters, and just like the other books in the series, the author provides a wide cast of characters to keep things interesting. The writing is good and the story flows really well. I really liked how the author used role play to get a slightly timid Evie more accustomed to Aaron as well as to lend a little more heat to the story. This has been a fun series so far and I look forward to the next book.

A rather quaint read although I’m not sure what the dilemma was as indicated in the title. The beginning of this story was fairly mundane as there was no angst, drama or sexy times. Evie is escaping her abusive father and brothers and stumbles across an empty cabin where she decides to rest for the night. I liked how Evie was not a simpering wallflower needing a man to protect her from the wild west. Aaron is a patient alpha male hoping for a holiday but ends up running into his own Goldilocks. And then things start to get spicy in the second half of the book!

When Evie runs from her outlaw family, she runs right into a deputy Deputy Aaron Glover. Their relationship quickly evolves and very innocent Evie slowly learns that her husband has some rather dark and decadent proclivities. This was a really good historical western spanking romance. You also get the correction of one more wife and the suggestion of another. Hand, spoon, belt, anal.
