How do I love Natalie Bennett? Let me count the ways…there’s Savages, UltraViolence, Love Obscene, and this beautiful bastard of a book.
Helena is a naive, sheltered young girl. Some view her as strange but that’s only because she’s been told to hide who she really is. Who she really is is a girl who has a need to fix things that are broken in her eyes. Her mother called her sick and was told to keep her sickness locked away. Until Declan and Ethan. They themselves have had to hide who they really are to others outside their family. They can sense something in her. Not a sickness but something that should be allowed to blossom.
“There was nothing inside her. She was as frigid as a corpse and just as lifeless. She was death disguised as a pretty doll. I’d never seen anything so lovely.”
With them, she’s finally allowed be herself. They nurture her sickness and find something they’ve been looking for all along. With her, they become the ultimate twisted trio.
“Solo, single, lonely. Until Declan. Until Ethan. They were drawn to my sickness like moths to a flame. With them, I was nurtured into something special. With them, I flourished in depths of decay and darkness. And this was only the beginning.”
By now, you oughta know that I looove dark books. The more dark and depraved the better. It’s my addiction. There seems to be more darker themed books popping up now more than ever or I have just had my head up my ass. While I do enjoy them, few rarely stick with me or make me scream to others, “Hey, this is an awesome fucking book! Read it!” I have had a few make that list, one being The Goodbye Man. The reason being is I am a picky bitch. To make me ‘ooh’ and ‘ahh’ you have to have that extra something something. And folks, this has it. Just like the aforementioned book, it has everything in it I could ask for in a dark read. Blood, sex, bloody sex, torture, hot psychopathic men. What more could a girl like me want? Wait, did I mention it has threesomes with two hot psychopathic men?!? The couch scene….highlighted and saved.
This is why Natalie will always be my go to girl for my dark addiction.
So to sum it up, this is an awesome fucking book! Read it!
I love this Saga!! Can’t wait for someone to make this a movie!!!
The Dahlia Saga Series is quickly becoming one of my absolute favorites from Natalie Bennett! It’s the perfect storm of all things dark, gruesome and one of a kind uniqueness. I couldn’t put Depravity down! Declan, Ethan & Helena’s story is not for the squeamish or faint of heart but it was one that I became consumed with immediately. This unconventional love story held me captive from beginning to end and I cannot wait to see where we go next in the Dahlia Saga
I absolutely loved this book and everything about it. It was dark, yummy, thigh clenching goodness rolled into one!
Holy shit! Depravity is right. I love reading Natalie’s words, they’re always dark and twisted. They make me think I may be a bit disturbed. Oh well. This super dark book had everything I loved! Ethan and Declan are hot, but not as hot as they are with Helena. And the sickness. I love the twisted fucked-upness of it all. I devour all books by Natalie and I cannot wait to read what’s next!
Seriously, one of my favorite books this year. Depravity is so beautiful, dark, and twisted.
This was my first Natalie Bennett book to read. What a book to pop my cherry with!!!
Let me start by saying this book isn’t for the weak, light hearted, typical reader. You must own a good reinforced pair of big girl panties to read this one. Its full of shock and awe of the darkest variety.
If that is not your cup of tea, please pass on this book!
Helena is a young girl who has been through so much in her life. The only way she knows to deal with what she is faced with during her ‘sickness’ is to try to fix people. When she fixes them, her ‘sickness’ goes away for the time being.
When Declan and Ethan find their missing link, it couldn’t have come soon enough. They are a complete circle now…the three of them.
They see the beautiful person behind the sickness. They are more than willing to bring her in to their home and help the seed grow. Enabling her to stitch and fill her sickness until she blossoms into a beautiful woman.
I will admit, this book would be a 5-star read if there were some serious editing done. It’s a book that reads like a train wreck. It’s messed up, yet you have to continue on to see how in the world it will pan out.
Now I’m off to the store to purchase a new sewing kit!!!

“She was death disguised as a pretty doll. I’d never seen anything so lovely.”
This Author has become one of my favorite WTF Authors with each book I read!! This one flew off the rails in uncharted territory and blew my perceptions way out of the water!! Decadently dark, massively hot, psychotically erotic, and just fabulously and savagely addictive like menace coursing through my veins!! Unlike anything I’ve read recently, it really took hold and invaded my whole world in one sitting, at times difficult to digest, but un-put-down-able just the same!!
“I was going to shove this depraved princess into our world headfirst, and love every single minute of the carnage we would create.”
I loved these characters so hard, each cementing their place in the sadistic trio that were too endearing to not fall head over heels for!! The end left me speechless and I’m still reeling almost 24 hours later!! If you’re not afraid to jump in, it’s a must read, but absolutely heed the warnings!! I thank the Author for providing a copy to review!!
“Helena Gardener. Beautiful girl. Rotten to the core. But to me, she had a heart of gold, and my balls secured in the palm of her hand.”

What a sick and twisted world that the author has created! I’m not even sure what kind of review to write, do I just spill some stuff or just leave everything as ambiguous as Natalie Bennett did with her blurb. First off, this blurb doesn’t even let you know the level of disturbed this story is at. This really may not be a read for most people; think Dexter but add in some of the hottest, dirtiest, naughty times I have read in a while. I’m not sure if this is a standalone or if there are others that came before this, there seemed to be another story out there that I would have liked to have read before this one.
I found this to be an amazing story and I want more. Ethan, Declan & Helena are perfect together. There are some editing issues and the fact that it is not possible to “descend up the stairs”, irked me a bit but that did not reflect in my rating, I give this 5 stars.
Holy freaking sheep shit!! I am going to be brutally honest with you, I don’t think I can review this book. This story is out of the depths of hell!! The perversion, the savagery, the violations, hell even the sex takes this beyond the depraved. Natalie Bennett has quite a creative, corrupt mind! What I wouldn’t give to spend a day within that head of hers.
Cloaked amidst all the vile, shocking, despicable acts is a love story, a deep connection amongst a threesome of miscreants. Even monsters need love too and this is a story of acceptance, approval, and devotion in a morbidly sort of way.
I recommend Depraved, but only to those that have read or desire the darkest of dark. I’m not talking fluffy grey dark that some try to group into the dark category, I’m talking so dark you never will crawl out to see the light!
