Jameson King.My best friend’s brother and the person who could make an Olympic sport of ignoring my relentless teasing and taunting.I was a live-in-the-moment girl flirting with a man who always looked to the future. He was traditional, carrying the weight of his whole family on his broad shoulders, and I had been taught to never fall in love, focusing on my career instead of a future with anyone. future with anyone.
He tried to deny me, tried to deny the passion simmering between us, bubbling under the surface of every game we played.
But all that changed during one week in Jamaica.
Falling into bed with Jameson was easy, but falling in love was out of the question.

This is my second book in this series (King’s Bar) and once again, I loved Jameson but Evelyn kinda drove me crazy. She saw herself as independent and in control of her life when in reality, she was very emotionally stunted. Her rigid view of how a “strong” woman should live her life regardless of who was hurt in the process got old very fast. This author’s writing itself is very good with no glaring grammatical errors. There’s plenty of humor, heat, angst and romance as well as a few interesting secondary characters who will have their own books in this series. Despite my issues with Evelyn’s character, the HEA was perfect making the book worth reading. I do plan to read the third book in this series and do recommend.
This was my first book by Fiona Cole and I have already downloaded my next! Her writing style and the characters sucked me into the story from the first page. I loved it!
Jameson and Evelyn have known one and other for years. They’ve harbored feelings for one and other. Evelyn is persistent but she’s unable to break him down. Until, they travel to Jamaica for his Sister’s wedding. Sparks fly! Will they he able to continue exploring their new relationship? Or will outside influences tear them apart?

Eveylyn and Jameson. Sweet holy hotness on a stick. These two were everything. I loved Ev and all that she brought to the table. How she hid her insecurities and fears behind acting liking a confident Vixen. Jameson. Sweet holy hell, that man’s mouth. One of the best dirty talkers.
I would highly recommend this book. I wanted more of an epilogue is the only reason this didn’t rate higher.
Another great one by Fiona Cole. This was one of those books that I could not put down. I read it all in one day. It was that amazing. Full of steam, witty banter, and Jamaica vacation!
I love Fiona’s writing. She really knows how to write about characters you feel connected to. I love that we get to see where Luella and Jack end up and get a resolution between the simmering connection between Evelyn and Jameson. Evelyn is a very strong female character and doesn’t do relationships. Jameson does. Flirtation ensues for years and things finally combust. You can imagine what happens next.
I found Evelyn intriguing because she depends on no man. I’ve been with the same man for 15 years so this concept is almost foreign to me. I found it interesting to read about because it’s a life I never had to endure. I found her resilient spirit inspiring. The only con I found about Evelyn is her overt sexuality. I found it a bit degrading sometimes but it served its purpose.
Fiona Cole has me hooked. She is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors!
When family friends aren’t supposed to have this attraction, all heck breaks loose. I love it when women use their seductive ways to lure a man. So many steamy scenes! This book pulled me in and kept me up.
This book was my first Fiona Cole book and it won’t be my last. I really enjoyed this story. It was an easy fun read. Jameson is attracted to his best friends little sister and well here is the problem. He can’t like her, right? But they ah e chemistry, they are good together but also very frustrating.
I wanted to smack Evelyn once or twice but really as the story kept going I opened up to her.
Over all this was a great fun, sexy read. Truly recommend it.

Good read. Enjoyed the storyline. The development of the relationship was a bit slow. Enjoyed the last few chapters and how he makes it up to her. Plus there is a HEA which I loved.
At first I wasn’t sure if I would like this book but after a few chapters I was so in love with Evelyn and Jameson I just couldn’t stop reading.
Evelyn is a difficult person for me. I had trouble connecting with her at the beginning, but as I got to know her better and understand her actions I started to love her even more. And Jameson… He’s a sexy, patient and loyal friend. I totally loved him. He knows what he wants and he understands and respects Evelyn. They were just the perfect imperfect couple. And they had the best chemistry ever! They had a lot of steamy scenes and dirty talk, and yet it was also funny and emotional.
Deny Me was a fun and sexy as heck story with fabulous characters. Jameson was definitely my favorite. He wooed me from the moment I laid eyes on him. He’s a strong man who loves his sister Luella with all his heart. Evelyn and Luella are best friends and Evelyn has a wonderful and teasing friendship with Jameson. He’s interested in a serious relationship whereas Evelyn is not. So they tease each other as much they can and it definitely has sexual undertones. Yummy.
Damn damn damn. Their chemistry was hot! I really enjoyed when Evelyn didn’t think and just enjoyed Jameson and how he wined and dined her cause that was when the magic really happened. Of course Evelyn had to get second thoughts about their relationship towards the end and I was not a happy camper.
Fiona Cole blew me away with Shame Me Not and of course I had to read her other work. Deny My was fabulous and I enjoyed the characters and their friendship tremendously. Let’s not forget about Shane and Julianna. I look forward to reading their story.

I absolutely loved Jameson and Evelyn’s story! They obviously were attracted to each other and I loved their banter back and forth. You knew they would eventually get together, and when they did…..wow! They were on fire when they hooked up!! And I wasn’t surprised how quickly they fell into a relationship. They had known each other for years, so they had already gotten past the get to know you stage. They truly were perfect for one another….and I can’t wait to see them again in Shane & Juliana’s story!!
Hot, hot, hot
I’m actually annoyed with myself that it’s taken me this long to catch up with the last two of Fiona Cole’s books that I hadn’t read – because she is absolutely fabulous and her books are incredibly hot and steamy with story lines that will grab you from the first page and don’t let go!! And what’s even funnier is that I am reading this loose series – the main characters from each book all know each other and/or are related – in reverse order. I read Imagine Me – Juliana and Shane’s book – last year, now Deny Me and I’ve got Where you can find me – Luella and Jack’s book – still to read.
Anyway, now to Deny Me…. this is a story of friends to lovers – one of my ultimate favourite romance tropes – and I love the little twist in this one. Evelyn is the lover of one night stands and hates relationships, while our hero Jameson is ready to settle down and find his girl. They’ve been friends for ages and their flirting and banter is evidence of the great chemistry between them. But both are hesitant to take their relationship to a physical one because they value their friendship and the relationship they have with Luella – Jameson’s sister and Evie’s best friend – too much to possibly disrupt that. But one week in Jamaica changes all that and perhaps it’s for the best…..
“Jameson looked at me like he wanted to know inside me, every part. It was disconcerting, because the more he looked, the more I wanted to let him in.”
What I love about Fiona’s books is that they are more than just a simple steamy romance novel. She always finds something bigger to say and I love her for that! Deny Me looks at the feminist aspect of being an independent woman who doesn’t need a man or a relationship – as a woman you are strong enough to stand on your own two feet and support yourself, love yourself and be enough for yourself. This attitude has been fed to Evelyn by her mother since she was young and when Evie finally gives into her desire for Jameson, all of these values she once held dear are brought into question. And what I really like is that there’s no right or wrong here – Fiona doesn’t soapbox about the issue at all, just presents both sides (the wonderful Luella helps so much with this!) – and reading about Evelyn finding her own way to manage these long held beliefs is a fascinating one.
I cannot end this review without mentioning the hot and steamy sex scenes. Fiona has a way of writing a dominant male that just hits the spot and I loved not only the chemistry and build up between Jameson and Evie, but the moments when hey come together and it’s sparks igniting and fireworks going off And Jameson can boss me around in the bedroom anytime he likes!! I loved that Jameson and Evelyn balance each other out and this balance is what makes them so good together. I hope Fiona revisits this group of friends (a novella perhaps) because I’d love some more from this fabulous couple!!

Hot, hot, hot
Ok this book was messed up! But in a good way. I loved it.Evelyn & Jameson has soo much chemistry. I was really surprised with this book bc I had seen several bad reviews. This book may not be for everyone but I really liked it. Evelyn is free spirited and doesn’t want a serious relationship, Jameson does. He is trying to win her over to his side of things. Evelyn has her reasons for being scared of relationships and I will admit that I was irritated with her during some of the book, but Jameson is so much that I got over being irritated pretty fast!
The pacing of this story ran hot and cold for me. First, it took me awhile to warm up to the the story and characters. I had to stop and start the story several times because the first half of the book was a bit redundant with the heroine constantly teasing the hero. It felt quite awkward and really immature on the heroine’s part and the hero seemed a bit boring to me at this point. However, I continued on and the book started to pick up during the wedding trip to Jamaica as we start to learn a lot more about their childhood and how it influences their current behaviors. At this point, both characters started to become more real to me. We also definitely get to see their chemistry as well. Once they return back home, their relationship develops along a nice trajectory as well and then the build up to the climax is well done too, but then the finale felt too rushed. Overall, a good story but just pacing issues.
This genre typically has one template. While thid book follows the template, the characters are intetesting enough to make it an enjoyable read.
Great book loved reading it.
