Trigger… here. I don’t want to be a part of this hell.
But I don’t have a choice…
The reaper is riding bitch on our backs.

Lord have mercy this book!! These characters!!! This story! Boy there is some messed up stuff going here and I am so totally invested in these characters! Tess, dear Tess oh what you have been through. And Trigger…if only we could all have a Trigger in our lives! Just read this series!!
“My head spun, and the demons rattled in their cages.”
WTF? I’m swinging from cliffy to cliffy like Tarzan in the jungle and I want to beat my chest and throw my kindle. But I would never actually do that because I don’t want to miss a single word of this hair-raising, nail-biting, mind-bending story. I’ve just recently been introduced to the work of J.L. Drake, but I am loving her writing so much that I can guarantee that she has a fan for life. She’s blowing my mind with her storytelling and I’m addicted now.
Because of the nature of the suspense in this story, I can’t give away any details without ruining it for you. But I can tell you to expect the unexpected and hang on for the ride of your life. With a mole in the clubhouse, you can’t tell who to trust. With ghosts from the past invading the present the list of enemies just got longer and much more dangerous. Tempers and patience are stretched thin. Betrayal is imminent and bitches better beware or you’ll get a clubhouse tour that includes the #SlaughterRoom.
I thought Tess was badass before, but she was just teasing. Not that I’m surprised, she didn’t even back down to Trigger, the baddest badass biker, when he flipped his switch. Nope, she encouraged it. I’m gonna lose my mind waiting to get my hands on Unleashed, but I’ll be in good company, right? The line forms here…
Demons ….demons demons demons book 2 was just as wild a ride as book 1 but the book hangover that came from this one was insane Jodi is known for her Cliffhangers and this one was a doozy but don’t fear because book 3 is almost here and I guarantee you’re in for one hell of a ride
I didn’t think this series could get any better but I was happily mistaken. This second book of the Devil’s Reach MC series we continue the story of Tess and Trigger. WOW!!! This book we learn more of Tess’s past and what she had to overcome before she came to Trigger and how she will sacrifice anything for Trigger and the MC including herself. I am so in love with this series. This book will leave you breathless and wanting more. I am dying waiting for the next book in this series. This author has a knack of pulling you in, making you fall in love/hate with the characters and needing more after the last page. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK & SERIES!!! MUST READ AUTHOR!!!
I am loving this series!
I will say… I don’t read blurbs so it’s on me, but I thought this was going to be an MC series with a different couple in each book. So I was a little bummed when I got to the end of the first book and realized I was reading a trilogy of one couple. The good news is that I freaking LOVE Trigger and Tess. I am obsessed with how Tess is coming into her own place within the club and it gives her certain freedoms to extract revenge and do things she may not have had the lady balls to do before. Strong, badass heroines are my jam! And Trigger starting to understand that he is capable of feelings has me swwwoooooning! Gah!
I can’t wait to see what’s next for these two!
The Skeleton Key!
WOW, this book is so full of action, love, and hate! JL Drake does an amazing job at continuing the dual POVs and keeping your attention. The best part, JL Drake crosses over the two series bringing in the Broken Trilogy cast.
Trigger is so messed up to find he has a mole, lost Tess and knowing his dad is still alive. Tess finds out the truth of what Clark and her mother did.
“I don’t want kids. Never have. I’m sorry you went through that, but f*#& me, I’m damn happy never had his kid. As for your mother, I will deal with her myself. If CLark shows…I hope he does because I can’t wait to give him the full clubhouse tour.”
I’m not giving anymore away……
If you thought Trigger was dark, well Demons is even DARKER. And once again we are left with a mind blowing Cliffhanger. You actually will want to go back and re-read both Trigger and Demons to try and connect the dots…
Deah Lawd! This book is insane!
I’m crazy about this trilogy. As twisted and dark as it is, I couldn’t get enough.
As I said, this book is part of the Devil’s Reach trilogy, so it can not be read as a standalone.
After the intensity of the first book, this time we’ve got some answers to questions we had, but there are newer pressing questions driving me crazy.
I couldn’t desconnect myself from this book, no matter what I had to do. Even when I went to sleep, my mind kept swirling around wondering who could be the mole and why. I just couldn’t switch it off, neither did I want to.
This book was all consuming, addicting and allured me every page of the way.
There was so much going on, but the situations didn’t overshadow one another. They were balanced and needed to the plot, so there wasn’t a dull moment in this book, even when there seemed to be no action during a scene.
If there wasn’t a fight, there were some answers we were looking for. If there wasn’t a suspenseful moment, there was some explaining we craved that made us understand both Trigger and Tess a little better. If there wasn’t a full on drama, there was intrigue on who was the mole, what Clark wanted, what are Tess and Trigger’s real secrets.
I soaked up every word of the book because they all seemed to have a purpose, they weren’t there for nothing, they meant something and they were keys to doors I didn’t even know I had to look for.
The whole book was a crescendo to Trigger and his dad’s deadly encounter. And even though I knew there was some serious twisted s… coming up, I couldn’t have predicted that cliffhanger.
But I admit, even knowing this is a highly unpopular opinion and totally controversial: I LOVE a good cliffhanger. I guess I’m a gluton for punishment, and this book has it in spades.
This trilogy has me hooked! The characters are so deeply written that I can’t help but feel everything they do. I love it so far and will dive into the next now!
Since I read all three of these books back to back, I’m going to keep this review short. I got to say, Trigger is the most delectable alphahole I’ve read in a MC romance. I love this man more and more. Demons and all!!!
5 fml stars!! I was in love with the first book but this book, holy shit!! Straight to my favorites list.
This is book two in the “Devil’s Reach” series and can NOT be read as a stand alone.
Mannnn I don’t even have words right now. I need to know who the hell Trigger was looking at!!! Good thing I bought the third book because as soon as I am done here it is on!!
I fell for Trigger and Tess hard in book one. So when I began this I knew it could only get better and boy was I right. Secrets are coming out, lines drawn, trust given, trust taken and shit hits the fan!! I knew Tess had a dark side in her and when she embraces that shit I fall even harder. They are the perfect match. They are like a fucking gas explosion they are so hot!!
This book on top of everything is funny as shit. So many parts I laughed my ass of at. I love the shit out of Rail!! Funny as hell. I love the love Brick has for Tess as well.
I surely hope someone we care deeply about isn’t a rat because it would gut me. The author did a killer job with creating the characters and the world they live in. May I add that this author is one bad bitch. She is dark and twisted and has no problem going there with it. Man it was awesome. I devoured this book. I suggest you read this book or add it to the TOP of your TBR list!!!
This was such a good follow up to Trigger Devil’s Reach Book 1; where we were left hanging with Tess on a doorstep in Las Vegas; and Trigger in a gunfight.
Demons Devil’s Reach Book 2 starts with Tess back home in LV, bad memories from her childhood clouding her thoughts, she misses Trigger. He has people looking for Tess, and people searching for his father, who has made a miraculous appearance; everyone thought he was dead.
Trigger finds Tess in LV and goes and gets her back, finds out from his fathers ‘assistant’ he wants him to fight, they agree.
Who is the mole -> they’re whittling down the suspects, so exciting how this book pans out, I mean a real nail biter.
Further in the book, the training then the fight, THEN THE CLIFFHANGER!! OMG it’s sooooo very good.
Jodi Drake is a truly gifted writer; she can make you feel like you’re right in the books with her characters; you’re living the stories with them. Keep on writing the books we love.
My favorite book in the seires!
The demons that Trigger harbours in his head definitely show in this book. As terrifying as this makes him, he shows his ability to care for another human being. Tess is no push over that is for sure- you would have to strong to put up with the DR lot. Even though this book ends on a cliffhanger, I love how it is written!
I have to say I am usually not a fan of the MC books. But when Jodi said she was writing one I knew I would have to give a try because all of her other books were so awesome. I was so surprised at how much I loved the first book Trigger and was looking forward to this one. All I can say is JL Drake did not disappoint. It grips you from the first page and never lets up. Its an fast pace ride till the end. So looking forward to DR3.
What does one say about trigger. If you love dark books demons is for you. I love how J.L. can make the tougher dark characters loveable and never disappoint this book is amazing.
I really enjoyed this second part of the series because you get more of the background on both characters. Tess is back in Las Vegas at her previous “job”, and you get the background of why she is the way that she is. You learn what happened to her and why she approaches life the way that she does. You also get more of Trigger’s background and how he was raised.
Trigger and Tess’s relationship does develop more in this story. I felt like they were finally coming around and realizing that they need each other. That they are two jagged pieces that fit together. However, there is a greater force that is bound to destroy these two. Warning, this book ends on a even bigger cliffhanger than the first!
Also, the audible version of these book is phenomenal! Its on constant repeat on my phone.

5 HOT, DIRTY STARS!!
Ardent-Passionate.-Burning-Intense. These words simply describe.
J.L Drake has weaved a story that pulls you in causes your heart to race, I freakin knew it!!! I knew this story was going to be amazing and fulfill my darkest desires within a good book! I absolutely love this book!
You know that moment when you pick up a book and you know, you just know that it’s going to be one of those books.
I COULD NOT put the book down. This book took my breath away, I absolutely love everithing about it.
The best novella I’ve read to far. It has a complete story line and character development. J.L Drake has created a masterpiece. This piece of work is now my FAVORITE! I totally loved this book. Another Fantastic story by J.L Drake.
This was a great MC story. I was very entertained and I liked the characters.
This book took me on a roller coaster of emotions. This story was so unique
Goodness! I cannot day how much I enjoyed this book. This was a wild, gritty, dark, and exhilarating ride to go on. Loved it!
This book didn’t work for me. It’s not bad at all, I just don’t think it adds to the story line in a way that justified 250+ pages or a second book. This is just my personal opinion. I’m not sure this book was needed to extend these character’s stories. It felt jumbled and unimportant to me. I didn’t care for Tess’s story line (or Tess in general). It felt forced and unemotional. I didn’t really get any feelings in this story.
I still really like Trigger but the rest of the characters didn’t hold my interest (in this book, still enjoyed them in book one). I felt like the entire book was just added material to extend the page count, rather then the story. Yes, I did get answers that I had from book one; but they were not enough to care or create an emotional attachment.
A positive was there was an entire scene that was in reference to this author’s previous books. I imagine it was a fun and even amazing nod to her fans. I thought that was really cool (even though it made no sense to me as I have not read those books).
The ending, say the last 10% really picked up for me and I found myself flipping to book three. Not sure how I feel about this series at this point so I will wait until I finish book three to rate it, but this book just didn’t work for me.
Oh and a quick note. There is a very difficult scene to read for those with animal abuse triggers. It’s the very first thing in the book, the prologue. If you are like me and have this as a hard limit. I suggest you just skip the prologue and just start with chapter one. You won’t miss anything important to the greater story line.
Over all, well written book, still had interesting characters, less violence and more angst (not a fan of unjustified angst). I look forward to reading the conclusion of this story and seeing how it all ends…
I recently found J.L. Drake and have been devouring every book I can get my hands on. I loved this MC trilogy and how previous characters from other series were sprinkled in towards the end. I kept wondering were the connection was going to be.
This book started “almost” too dark for me. I had to give it a chance because I have been loving Drakes words. I’m so glad I hung in there. This trilogy has everything…dark, alpha, betrayal, revenge, mystery, loss, redemption, steaminess, hope, family, loyalty and more.
This is Book 2 in the Devil’s Reach MC series. Wow! That’s about all you can say. Trigger thought that he had killed his father but he’s back in town going by the name of Father. Yeah, the man should be called Devil because he’s pure evil. This is the continuing story of Trigger and Tess. It’s even better than Book 1. There’s trauma, suspense, romance and downright scary stuff in this book. And it’s all written into a story that I couldn’t put down until I had finished it. This has been such a good series so far. Now I’m off to read Book 3. I’m so glad that I bought them all together.
