He is everything she fears – She is everything he needs.
On the run from the demon hell-bent on possessing her, Selma Lehmann finds herself in the hands of a far more dangerous enemy.
Lord Protector Kain is ruthlessly handsome, brutally savage—and exactly the fate she’s feared since the day she learned what kind of creatures hunt her from the shadows. They call her a Breeder, and there’s only one … and there’s only one thing a demon Lord could want from her… But if she’s ever going to reclaim her freedom, she will have to trust the monster who swears to protect her from his own kind.
Kain never wanted a mate—only pain awaits a demon foolish enough to give his heart to a human.
When tantalizing Selma lands in his lap, he knows his duty is to put her to auction and return his focus to the war threatening to bring his entire race to its knees.
Yet every instinct in his body roars to make her his, and he’ll have to choose. His heart—or her soul?

“I really liked this book and it caught me wholly by surprise. When ‘Demon’s Mark’ arrived, it came with ‘Branded,’ which is the prequel of the series written by Nora Ash. I’d never read any of her work, so as I made my way through the first book, it was very short and about 90% sex/10% content.. though for once I didn’t mind.. as even those scenes were incredibly steamy. BUT.. BUT.. even though it felt like the equivalent of pop music for my bookshelf, I eagerly kept reading.
When I got to the main title, everything changed for the better. It’s much more substance oriented and-“
Selma has escaped the grip of the horrid demon procurer, Marathin, who forced her to sign a contract with him. She stumbled into the strength of one Lord Enforcer, Kain, who has better things to do than to protect a Breeder. Little does he know, Selma is not just any breeder. She is a Pure Breeder. Their encounter is the beginning of the saga of Kain and Selma. The story is engaging as it is wrought with twists, action, suspense, surprises, thrills, and lots of very steamy scenes. Selma finds her voice and some new talents. Kain discovers that even a demon has a heart capable of the most profound love.
I am enjoying the Demon Mark series in its current rendition. Kain is a demon but also half-human due to his Breeder Mother. He is vulnerable at times but never loses his strength or a sense of purpose. Selma is no fragile human. Selma learns who and what she is. Selma finds herself propelled into a status about which she cares less. Selma only wants to feel and be safe. The need and desire for safety and security are something about which many of us can relate. Selma and Kain are growing into their destiny, and it is incredible to experience this sojourn with them.
I am looking forward to reading the next installment in the Demon Mark Series.

Demon’s Mark is book number 1 of this amazing demonic series and you will need to have read the prequel book ‘Branded (Demon’s Mark Book 0)’ before you read this book as it won’t make much sense to you if you don’t. 🙂
Selma is on the run from Marathin. Tiered, dirty and terrified she happens upon Lord Protector Kain.
Originally on a different mission, Lord Kain has enough to worry about than the little breeder he spies entering the pub. There have been reports of females entering his territory and it’s his job as Protector to deal with them.
No longer able to see through a demon’s disguise (read the prequel!) doesn’t mean Selma can’t feel them. And there is definitely something telling about the handsome yet very large male sitting in the dark corner, but by running away – she finds herself in even more dangerous trouble.
Female demons… and they HATE breeders.
It seems Selma and Kain’s paths are destined to cross, can Selma trust again? Is Kain just like every other demon she’s met so far?
This series is dark erotica with some serious Alpha Males, demons, dubious consent, power exchange ++, so you have been warned, but I absolutely loved it! It’s HAWT and it’s sexy!
And Selma and Kain’s story is, in my opinion, a beautiful one. Kain shows us that there is so much more at stake than small things. And believe it or not, this giant Alpha Male demon? He’s got a heart. And he is fiercely protective.
I can not wait for the last instalment in the series!
**I received this ARC copy for free in exchange for an honest review**
First let me state that I received an Advance Reader Copy, (ARC), but this in no way influences my review. I always leave an honest review. Also this author is new to me, and I hope it won’t be my last.
Holy shiznet!!! This story grabbed me from the first page and held me to the end. Imagine being a rare human woman who can see demons. This is Selma’s plight. She has always seen demons and because of that, she was institutionalized. Turns out she’s a breeder. This story has a lot going on and it’s a gr8 read. I recommend this read. 5 Thumbs up
Nora Ash takes you to a fantastic world full of demons and the women they learn to love. An amazing romance that I couldnt put down.

This first book in the Demon’s Mark series by Nora Ash was definitely a most enticing, entertaining and enjoyable story about sex between human women or Breeders and demon Lords. And there was definitely a lot of sex between them that was described in vivid, shocking and extreme detail. It was also a story about finding love where you least expect it, and more importantly, being able to welcome it into your life. The reader will almost certainly care about the main characters and their struggles throughout the story. This is a voluntary review of an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from Hidden Gems Books.
What a fantastic book. I didnt read the series of novellas so this was a new story to me. The book is so fabulous I am grateful I could read it all in one shot instead of waiting for the next release. Kain is a demon, but also sweet and sensitive in spite of being very dominant and sexy. Selma is snarky and very strong. A great couple. I fell in love with both characters and hated for the book to end. Cant wait to read Prince of Demons!
Selma and Kain’s story is thrilling and suspenseful. I was amazed at Selma’s one-eighty relative to demons. This is an excitingly written book. Anxious for book 2.
This is the first book in the Demon’s Mark Series. This story is suspenseful, intriguing, and captivating. The world building is great and well developed. I loved it! You have to read the prequel, Branded, for a better understanding. Kain is an intriguing character, protective and caring. Selma is a strong character. They share a strong and sizzling chemistry. Now, I can’t wait to read the next book in the Series, Prince of Demons.
This is the 2nd book I’ve read written by Nora Ash; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I can’t wait to read more of her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.
I loved the chemistry between the characters.

Kain, despite being a demon has some good qualities. A family tragedy forms his view of how he treets Breeders. He empathizes with their life circumstances and acts accordingly. When he meets Selma, he is in a constant struggle to do the right thing. Kain feels the pull toward Selma and he battles between it and his duty. This is an intriguing series. I liked Kain and his principles, from the demon perspective, LoL. Selma epitomizes women of today vulnerable in the power structure, yet strong in her womanhood. The author has created an intriguing dynamic in this world. The good/evil are not always apparent. I found myself pulling for Selma and Kain to succeed. I read the original series which was good, the author has upped her game with this remake. I look forward to reading more.

Demon with heart and honor
—>>> Having just escaped Marathin and the horrors experienced while under his care at the psychiatric hospital, she finds herself face to face with powerful Lord Enforcer Kain, who recognizes her for what she is. However, his pressing duties pull him one way, while his heart has already begun its pulling to her. He is a demon Lord with a past which is unique to him, and while he knows he must do what is right in all ways, Selma’s worst trials have yet to occur. But have no fear, there is hope for them both as well as for male Demons in the fight with Demon society females.
An exciting second part to their story, as well as scorching, satisfying, and heartwarming to read! So looking forward to Kesh’s story next!
I loved this book. I loved Kain, and never thought I would see a demon that’s vulnerable. And Selma that has such strength, but just wants to feel safe . These characters have such depth to their unique personalities. I cant wait for the next book.

Wow. This book and its new demon culture took me totally by surprise. I am not sure what is the best thing about it: the author’s writing style which made you enjoy reading the story, the characters she has created or the world in which it occurs. All three things combine to make the book exceptional.
Selma is a human woman who can see demons in our world since she went through puberty. Life is not easy for these humans when they are found which could happen at any point after they become aware. They are hunted by demons as mates after being won at a demon auction since these breeders are the only ones that can carry demon children. Only special pure breeders can mate demon lords, like the hero Kain, and Selma is one of them.
Kain is different with human women because of growing up with a mother who refused to forget her human life after her auction. He never plans to take a mate because he doesn’t want to force his demonic nature on a woman like his mother suffered being taken away from her human husband and daughter. This is what makes the book special because he is willing to fight his demon instincts to protect Selma and try to find her a sanctuary safe from demons.
Don’t get me wrong, the demon culture is dark and physical so you need to know that ahead of time to enjoy the book. There is demon magic that can make unwilling breeders crave intimate contact with their captors. Kain saw what this did to his mother and hated that part of himself. Any time his demon nature took over around Selma he felt regret and shame, but what Selma and Kain have is deeper than this connection and it becomes love and drives the story.

I highly recommend that you read the prequel to this!! This story keeps on getting better and better!! I absolutely adore this book and author. If you love dark paranormal romance this is for you! Sorry, but I do not post spoilers. That is for everyone else!

Dark, Hot and Phenomenal!!
Nora Ash does it again… she once again brings a gripping, twisted and unexpected storyline that is Dark and Hot!! The character development is phenomenal as always. A definite must read for Demon lovers! I can’t wait to read the next book!
*voluntarily and honestly reviewed the ARC I received from the author*
This is a very intense read so if you didn’t read the fine print… RIP.
I love Kain and Selma’s build-up. She’s lived with these ‘monsters’ all her life and getting hurt and used was the topping on the cake. Kain’s had it rough, and the last thing he wants is a mate. These two couldn’t want more different things, and yet circumstances forced them together until they were able to overlook their boundaries and see… them. Just them. And ugh if that didn’t make me T_T
The appeal of this book is the hot dominant sex and the dark aspect of the demon world. Humans are nothing to them, the ones compatible are fun to be with, but the pure breeders are cherished. They’re the bridge to future generations, of course they are national treasures. This is probably what helps balance out all the other harsh things about them because believe me, these demons are not romanticized XD But Kain’s a sweetheart and must be protected so what do I know.
Definite recommend if you’re a huge fan of this genre.
