I really don’t like giving less than a 3 star review but I couldn’t quite get there wth this story.
First up in the collection is Torn Asunder by Kiki Howell, and all I can say is no, definitely NO. I did NOT find this to be well written. Normally, I just devour books with demons, dragons, and other supernatural characters. The characters were unbelievable and came across with a stick up their behind, even given the PNR aspect. I have read PNR romances before and loved them. I had high hopes for this story, but it was not engaging. I just wanted to slap all the characters. I only finished the book so I could write this review and move on to the next story. The second story is When the Snow Flies by Kiki Howell and Gina Kincade. Again, just no. I was about half way through the first chapter, and that was it. I didn’t find it interesting or even well written, or worth finishing. This was all of the book I could read. I could not force myself to continue reading, wasting my time. I had such high hopes for this collection, and I was severely disappointed. About all I can say was there were no obvious grammatical mistakes.

I am sorry, but I felt this book rambled. I understand making the reader understand, but sometimes it was too much.

i usually enjoy prn romance but i have to say of the 6 stories in this book…only 2 of them could be considered full length and i only enjoyed 1 of them… the other 4 stories there is one that was long enough to be interesting, one to find not interesting at all, and the other 2 were just the first chapter so not enough to really make a decision one way or the other. it was an okay book overall but i wouldn’t waste my time reading it again.. i struggled reading it the first time.

First up in the collection is Torn Asunder by Kiki Howell, and all I can say is no, no, no. I did NOT find this to be well written. The characters were stilted and unbelievable, even given the PNR aspect. I have read PNR romances before and loved them. I had high hopes for this story, but it was not engaging. Frankly, I wanted to slap all the characters. I merely finished the book so I could write this review and move on to the next story.
The second story is When the Snow Flies by Kiki Howell and Gina Kincade. Again, just no. I got about half way through the first chapter, and that was it. I didn’t find it interesting or even well written. The whole thing I read was depressing, and not in a so sad it’s good way. I found the main character indulgent and self absorbed and unbelievable. I grew up with family members that have struggled with depression, and I was not impressed with the way this way handled.
