Missing a deadline from a ghost is a very, very bad thing. And Lizzie is about to find out just how bad. When Lizzie fails to deliver a borrowed device after her time with it has ended, she brings down the ten plagues of Egypt across the countryside. But as she witnesses the devastating effects, she is even more upset to find that the people who once trusted her are turning their backs and … turning their backs and refusing to allow her to assist them. Governor Boggs’ campaigns designed to make everyone hate her definitely aren’t helping.
Luckily, she has ever-faithful Abel at her side along with many loyal friends. Because even while dealing with lice, boils, and other horrible plagues, Lizzie still must hunt and destroy hounds and prepare for the coming of one of the most evil demons ever to live.
Can she fulfill the quest she was called to perform or will Lord Kenan and the immortal hounds rain terror down on her and her friends? Find out now by snagging your copy of Demon of Darkness, the final, thrilling book in the Koven Chronicles!

ONE WILD ADVENTURE!!!
Man, talk about a walk on the wild side. This is one exciting, action packed, hard hitting, fast paced, nailbiting, pulse racing, heart pounding, page turning bombshell that captivates from the beginning. All the twists and turns, ups and downs, ins and outs, along with a few dips and bumps make for one thrilling experience. All the drama, fear, danger and suspense keeps your attention on the pages and frozen to your seat. The characters are written with such realism it really pulls this bad boy together beautifully. The scenes are so realistic and graphically detailed it’s easy to picture each scenario as it plays off one another in perfect balance. Andrea did a remarkable job bringing this read to life. Fantastic job Andrea, thanks for sharing.
Andrea Pearson’s Koven Chronicles have been an amazingly wonderful thrill ride and that’s no less true of Demon of Darkness (Koven Chronicles Book 6). This book picks up where Book 5 left off (and you really do need to read these books in order – though trust me, their so good that this is no burden). Lizzie is paying the price (the ten plagues of Egypt) for failing to deliver the device back on time bit she still has the same overriding need to stop Lord Kenan and the immortal hounds. Excite most definitely ensues, answers (some real woes here) are given and victory is achieved in a story that’s superbly plotted and written. Fans of this series can rejoice as this is the book you’ve wanted. Newcomers get a move on it as you don’t want to have missed this series. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises. The book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, and it is easy to highly recommend.
I am both happy and sad that this series will be ending!! I have loved reading all the books, but I know all good things must come to an end. LIzzie did not make her dead line with the orb, so she must suffer the plagues, along with everyone surrounding her. But why not make use of the orb since she still has it! Can she manage to stop Lord Kenan, the Governor and the plagues? You must read to find out!
I love the use of BC and AD instead of the politically correct BCE and the other one. The shocking background of Lord Kenan floored and fascinated me. Also, where on earth did Andrea come up with that particular passageway in the Russells’ closet? NASTY! The ten plagues of Egypt were expertly woven into the storyline. This book is longer, so be prepared. A satisfying end to the Koven Chronicles, now I just need to know if they ever find Abel’s mom. I recommend this book and the entire series to teens and adults alike. There is no swearing or sex. This is NOT a standalone and the series must be read in order. My recommendation is to read Andrea’s series’ in order as they all tie in to one another, even if only slightly. Read these series’ and travel on a magical journey only Andrea Pearson can take you on. As far as I know, these books are completely set apart from any other books in this genre; not mirroring any other storylines.
This book has it all: action, adventure, romance, and mystery. The odds are against Lizzie and friends/allies. Not returning the globe on time has monumental consequences. Can she destroy the remaining hounds and Lord Kenan? She must use all her arete skills, the amulet, and her allies’ powers to finish the task. But, can she complete them in time? *I received a free eBook copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Lizzie has always been one of my favorite characters from Mosaic Chronicles and I’m glad she got her own series here. She has matured greatly throughout this series albeit through hard learned lessons. This last book in her series is no exception. I liked her even more in this last book of her series. This story was incredible. Very well written as all of Ms Pearson’s books are. I loved the romance Lizzie and Able had going on. I hope this isn’t the last we hear about the couple perhaps remotely in another series? The most exciting part of this story was the battle at the end. Evil got its just rewards. However, sadness permeated for all those who died or were severely injured. I can easily recommend reading this book for all those who have read any of this author’s books. And for those who haven’t, now is a good time to start.
What a phenomenal job Ms. Pearson did with this book as well. Another page turner, can’t wait to see what happens “with everyone”
Love this whole series
Another wonderful installment in the Koven Chronicles! Lizzie brings together a diverse group of individuals who are willing to fight and possibly die trying to save the world. I hate to give spoilers so you’ll have to read it yourselves! But you can expect epic battles, bittersweet goodbyes and a happy ending.
I received a free arc copy of this book for exchange for an honest review.
The final book in the series
This final book blows me away as our heroine and her friends fight to win the war. With everything that that gets thrown at her it seemed at times impossible but she found a way to carry on! This storyline has lots of action, adventure and tons of suspense. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
Andrea Pearson did it again with this book finishing the series. She managed to keep me turning pages and i was glad to get it on preview so i could write this review today. I lost sleep reading it but it was worth it. A great read!
This book is filled with action and intrigue, the character of Lizzie is wonderful. I’m sorry to see this series end. I can’t wait for more from this author. I received this book as a FREE ARC copy to read and I voluntarily leave this review.
Of all the books I’ve read by Andrea Pearson, I love the Koven Chronicles the most. And here we are at the end.
Lizzy Ashton, fire impeder and hunter of the Hounds of Tindalos, faces the biggest challenges yet in this final installment of the Koven Chronicles. After Lizzy misses a key deadline, the plagues of Egypt are unleashed on her and an area the size of Egypt around her. Governor Boggs (secretly a Hound) launches a PR campaign smearing Lizzie that basically launches a modern pitchfork mob at her door. No one trusts her. Her career may be over for good. It’s hard for Lizzie, but she has so many responsibilities that nothing can be allowed to distract her from continuing to do her very best.
The final battle is well-planned and well-written, very exciting and not without trials. Some of the good guys might face terrible outcomes… will an Arete lose all access to magic after using too much? Will one of ours make the ultimate sacrifice? Will defeating Lord Kenan come at so high a cost?
I seriously want to ask author Andrea Pearson to rethink this being the last book, though! I want to know how Lizzy’s life looks going forward! Perhaps if there’s a series about Abel? PLEASE, Andrea?
In the stories you read do you like: MAGIC, ADVENTURE, EXCITEMENT, HUMOR, ROMANCE, INTERESTING CHARACTERS??? Well this series has those ALL!!! (Plus it’s clean for ALL ages to read!) This book is the conclusion of this AWESOME series and it is bittersweet for me!!! I recommend starting with Book 1 as each book adds onto the one before it. Have you ever tried to do your best and help others and make others happy (any of you with children will understand what I am saying) and then you get shut down for it???) Poor Lizzie has to experience this in spades as she has done her level best and sacrificed so much for others just to be judged harshly and betrayed!!! Ugh!!! She handles it much better than I could have! And ummm… especially with me not being magical… just saying… ANYWAY… READ THIS SERIES! It will definitely help you forget your problems and make them seem pretty insignificant compared to what Lizzie has to overcome! Lol! Have a great day! 🙂
All I can say is, “WOW!” In this final installment of the Koven Chronicles (*SOB*), Lizzie has her hands full. Not only is Lord Kenan coming after her to destroy her (and she has to destroy him first), but she also has her hands full with hounds and plagues and politics. I really like Lizzie and I’m sad to see her series end . . . but I’m sure she’d like a little time out of the limelight.
This is a fantastic addition to this series. Lizzie and able are on a tight schedule. And she didn’t make the deadline, so in results she brings down the ten plagues. As well as with not getting the task done on time. This is a fact paced, fast action packed. This will have you on the edge of your seat. This book will have you turning the pages wondering whats going to happen next. There are lots of twists and turns that you will not see coming. This is a totally epic read. Lizzie and Able face alot of challenges. It had me rooting l ike a cheerleader while reading. You won’t want to put this read down. This Author has done a fantastic job at bringing all the characters to life, and bringing out the surroundings. I love this whole series. A definite must read.

A great story to cap off the series. Lizzie gathers her forces to go up against Lord Kenans army but she also has to endure the plagues brought on because she missed her deadline in the previous book and the fallout from the people who find out she is the one responsible for the plagues they also have to suffer as well.
It’s a series I believe anyone who enjoys reading about magical beings will enjoy. Andrea has at least three series with multiple books within them out so you can go from one series to another to fulfill your “need to read”.
Give her a try and I’m sure you’ll be back for more.
