A warrior, a demon, and the girl next door. . .Looking For TroubleAddy Corwin is a florist with an attitude. A bad attitude, or so her mama says, ‘cause she’s not looking for a man. Mama’s wrong. Addy has looked. There’s just not much to choose from in Hannah, her small Alabama hometown. Until Brand Dalvahni shows up, a supernaturally sexy, breathtakingly well-built hunk of a warrior … well-built hunk of a warrior from-well, not from around here, that’s for sure. Mama thinks he might be European or maybe even a Yankee. Brand says he’s from another dimension.
Addy couldn’t care less where he’s from. He’s gorgeous. Serious muscles. Disturbing green eyes. Brand really gets her going. Too bad he’s a whack job. Says he’s come to rescue her from a demon. Puh-lease. But right after Brand shows up, strange things start to happen. Dogs talk and reanimated corpses stalk the quite streets of Hannah. Her mortal enemy Meredith, otherwise known as the Death Starr, breaks out in a severe and inexplicable case of butt boils. Addy might not know what’s going on, but she definitely wants a certain sexy demon hunter by her side when it all goes down. . .

I loved this book! It is a paranormal romance with a healthy dose of comedy. The main characters, Addy and Brand definitely have chemistry. There interactions were hilarious as warrior Brand’s protectiveness comes up against Addy’s steel magnolia determination. The secondary characters are equally funny. I look forward to reading Evie’s story. As a side note, this relocated southern girl absolutely loved all of the southern-isms and euphemisms for genitalia. I felt like I was back home talking with old friends!
Oh, my glitter bugs! This book has got to be one of the funniest books I’ve read in a coons age. It’s filled with quirky characters, flying cats, talking dogs, reanimated corpses. Although Shep wasn’t happy when the dead guy for the funeral that was fixing to commence decided to take a walkabout town.
I can’t wait to read the rest of this series. I’ve already got them downloaded to my Kindle.
Get ready for a ride of your life. This books takes place in a small town with lots of what I am going to call country folks and all that entails and if you are from the South, you know exactly what I mean. It has a little bit of everything – warriours, damsels in distressed, strong willed characters, and opposites attracting. It even sports characters from another world. I enjoyed reading this book and was glad that I got it in. I am looking foward to reading the next in series.
First off, I listened to the audio version of this story on Audible. The narrator did an awesome job. She did multiple voices; she brought those characters to life! A fun, good quality listen!
Fun, kooky, and entertaining! This story takes place in a small, southern town with a lot of odd ball characters; most were lots of fun, but all the characters did make the story a bit hectic at times. Lots of passion between Addy and Brand! Sweet and sexy! Good chemistry. Brand is from another dimension, so that was a fun addition to the story; plus, there’s demons on the loose. Addy has had herself a run in with a demon, and Brand is there to help keep Addy safe. Enjoyed Brand’s protective nature, and Addy’s sass and strength. Some good humor too! An unique story with lots of heart!
Though the synopsis teased and promised me an intriguing, humorous, paranomal romantic tale, the writing just didn’t deliver that for me, folks. The author for whatever reason eventually tried too hard with the OTT too numerous, overly done southern expressions/antics while giving the handsome hero and his equally movie star gorgeous sidekick wooden undertones of me Tarzan/you Jane caveman lingo combined with medieval knight-ish English at the same time.
Sound like a weird mix? Yeah, it was. I have access to all the books in this series, so I’ll likely give the other books another shot. However, you can bet your bottom dollar I’ll be checking into other reviews more closely before wasting anymore of my time. I’m hoping the aspects I just mention will be fixed/toned down in those sequels. Along with the story line dragging out at a snail’s pace.
Btw, the last straw was the bit involving the dead man’s cut off private bits at the funeral home. That was gross, classless, inappropriate, strange, not funny, juvenile, and again…just plain weird.

Wow! The authors ability to swear without swearing is amazing. I have learned a whole new language and I’m calling it South Word.
This book is an absolute page turner. Original, funny and steaming hot. Welcome to a world of demons, delicious demon hunters and Southern Bells, which equals a darn good mix.
I highly recommend this Book/Series. You won’t be disappointed.
I love this series.
