The extent of their love is put to the test. Who’s hiding behind the attacks? How far will they go to put an end to those terrorizing London?
Demon Heart is an MM urban fantasy with lots of magic, powerful emotions, a passionate blooming romance and a touch of kink.
This is Book 2 in the Blade & Dust series with no cliffhanger and a happy for now ending. Although it can be read as a standalone, it is better enjoyed as part of the series.

An MM paranormal romance. Please read the books in order. The storyline will make more sense if you do. I did enjoy the first one the best, but all Rhy’s books are good. Wade and Caleb must figure out the mystery and keep a hold of their relationship along the way. A very creative world with an HEA
The story of Wade and Caleb continues, only with so much more happening. In the last book supposedly the damphir was destroyed but his body is being used by a demon now. In this book is the battle of Tower Bridge and the Crown Jewels. It puts witches against witches, shifter’s against witches and so many humans dead. But to find out all the details you have to read the book.
Demon Heart is an amazing addition to the Cursed Hearts series. This is not a standalone book. You need to read the first book, Killer Heart, to understand what is going on with Wade and Caleb and the bad guys. There was so much action and twists and turns in this book. An enemy returns and brings demons with him that want to destroy all humans. The good witches, witch hunters, familiars, and other nightcrawlers will have to work together to defeat the bad guys and save the world. I can’t read the next book in the series.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
Excellent second book in the series! You would think after surviving the challenges of the first book that Caleb and Wade would have time to recover and solidify their relationship. Right? Nope. More trials and challenges, action and drama, mystery and mayhem, and plenty of surprises fuel this book. I loved the way Caleb and Wade hung on together through it all. You could probably enjoy this book as a stand alone, as I think there is enough background, but I recommend reading Killer Heart first. I can’t wait to see what happens next.

Demon Heart is Book 2 in the Cursed Hearts series. This enjoyable book continues the story of Wade and Caleb and should be enjoyed after book 1. Wade is having adverse effects of taking spells, or so he thinks. Later to find out it is so different from what he thought was happening. Caleb and Annabel are looking after a now baby Nora. After they thought Christian was dead it seems he’s on a killing spree only to find out it isn’t Christian at all but a demon god possessing him. Sides are taken and war is waged. This book is action packed and full of adventure and magic but who will be victorious? I’m loving this series and definitely recommend it.
This was a great second book. It was well written and explored not only more of Caleb and Wade but also the world that they live in. The plot was really well thought out and original. The scenes were steamy and there was plenty of action to go around. I really love the characters and how they interact with each other and the world around them. I absolutely recommend this book.
4.5 Stars
This is the second book in the series, and I truly feel you need to start reading this series from the beginning.
Our main characters are still together, but things aren’t all sunshine and roses in their lives. I love how devoted they are to each other.
This book is more plot driven then the last one, since the characters are together. It’s full of action and twists, which makes it exciting and engaging.
This story was expertly woven and and well written. I don’t want to keep beating a dead horse, but Lawless is brilliant at world building and getting you to fall in love with his characters. He always leaves you wanting more…but in the best way possible (and not because there’s something missing). I am so glad I found this series after there were several out—I’d die if I had to wait between books.
***I received a copy of this book for my reading pleasure. All thoughts and opinions are my own.***
I absolutely loved it!!! The suspense, the action the heartfelt emotions and the humour. I could’nt stop reading. I can not wait to see what happens next. Again I hope to see more of Winston and Hew. I was amazingly written and the plot development was just as amazing. This would make for an awesome tv series. Rhys Laweless well done on another amazing book. I can not wait to read the rest.
This book is part of a series, so make sure you start with book one! In this installment, we start in the aftermath of the first, with Wade an ex-witch hunter looking for a new calling while experiencing some distressing magical side effects from earlier ordeals and Caleb desperately trying to figure out the ramifications of opening the ley lines. As you might expect, things do not exactly get easier from there. I love how intricate the mythology of this series is, and how many twists and turns the plot takes— it makes for difficult summary writing, but very exciting reading. It’s great to see Caleb and Wade’s relationship evolve, even against a backdrop of increasingly apocalyptic events. I’d love to see more of Hew and Winston (do they get a book? I would definitely read their book) and some of the other supporting cast, as they’re all super interesting. This series just gets better, and I can’t wait to see what happens next.
*I received an ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is book 2 in the series and it is getting better and better. Following the aftermath of the first book in taking down a dhampir, there is new chaos as Christian seemingly comes back to life. He has actually been inhabited by a demon. There is lots of action and Caleb and Wade save the day. Wade also finds out he is a witch. Now I’m off to read Vampire Heart.
I received a copy of this book for my review.
This series is addicting! This takes off right after the events of Killer Heart. Wade finally feels free, but things start to happen to him. Caleb is in it for the long haul and will help Wade any way he can. The story has so many twists and turns but they work thru it to come out on top. It kept me glued to the pages, literally could not put it down! I’m voluntarily reviewing from an advanced copy that I received.
Book 1 was a riot, this makes it seem tame!
As the second in the trilogy, the excitement and speed of the events unfolding, the action is relentless, it’s a brilliant continuation of the story, again with plenty of unexpected twists, keeps you guessing to the end. Caleb and Wade go beyond the point of being ‘all in’, to almost being a single entity. With all the chaos it’s amazing they ever found the time for the sizzling sex!
I’ve fallen in love with the main characters in this book! Obviously only as their mum, but they really do need some looking after whilst they find each other and fight everything that’s wrong in Witch World!!!
Putting that aside this is another fabulous offering, part two in the series, from Rhys Lawless. It’s full of excitement, angst, magic, emotion, taxis, trains, spells, blood, hate, love, crystals, foxes, swords, ravens, wolves, not tigers, witches, witch hunters, familiars, a really angry Goddess and a mum and dad who are just on another planet!!!
Again I loved all the references to places I know and love in and around not only London but also the Isle of Wight, where I live! Rhys Lawless’s grasp on his own created world is amazing; his planning for this storyline, which can’t be easy as it’s not linear, is outstanding. As with book one the pace and action are fast moving. There’s no stop/start with this book, you won’t need to get up to make a drink because your bored or the story has waned; it just won’t happen, there is something happening all the time.
I can’t wait to start the next book, it’s calling my name already!
I’m totally recommending this book, as well as book 1; you definitely need to read the series in order, they are not standalones xx
I received a free copy of this book from the author and provide my honest review voluntarily
This book was just as good as the first one. Wade and Caleb are now in a serious relationship and things couldn’t be better. Until witch powers start going out of control all across London and they are called on to help. I love how Wade just goes in headfirst. Now that he has accepted his past and reconciled with everything, he feels much freer and is not afraid to admit his feelings for Caleb. Caleb is still so angry at the high council that he has trouble agreeing to help with what is going on across the city. But together they realize that someone has to help those who deserve more than to be left out to dry as the high council does nothing on their own. A great book. I can’t wait to read the next installment and see what is in store, not only for Wade and Caleb but for Winston and Hew as well.
Just gets better
OK I may have to switch my hero worship lets give it up for Mother Red Cap! Caleb and Wade just can’t catch a break but some how you know they can do it. So many twists and turns you’ll read all night…I did.
i love all the action in this book and i love baby nora,,when i started reading this series i didn’t think i would get hooked but i did ,,i read this book for this author of my own free opinion
Wade and Caleb are trying to figure out their lives now but the surprises keep coming. As each of them try to figure out what is happening in the world and how to stop it, their new relationship is tested. It seems like every time they think they have a handle on what is happening, something proves them wrong. While this is happening, Wade is trying to figure out who he is without his memory being erased and messed with as well as what is suddenly happening.
This world is beyond incredible and every character that is introduced is well thought out and full of life. I can’t wait to see what happens next.
The saga continues in Demon Heart with Caleb and Wade sorting through not only themselves and the doubt each has in themselves but also the world after the conclusion of Killer Heart. With strange occurrences popping up and Wade spitting out spells randomly, the adventure and plot twists continue in this trilogy with these two men. Another fabulous book by this talented author! I cannot wait to see the conclusion!
Caleb & Wade are fighting again! This time however, they are fighting side by side. Oh, and this time, no one, not witches, not familiars, not demons from hell, not even their closest friends will tear them apart.
It will take a lot of patience on both their parts, especially with Wade manifesting a strange new quirk that keeps causing Caleb harm, and even threatens Wade. He wonders if he will survive this or will it completely consume him and those he loves most, body and soul!?
Too bad that’s not the only problem facing the guys. A new and sinister presence has taken over London. It is going to take the combined forces of the Blades, the Nighcrawlers, and the Witches along with a very powerful deity to bring down this evil.
I am really thrilled to have found this series. It is filled with action, humor, and romance.
If you enjoy a good thrill ride filled with magic and supernatural beings This is definitely a series to try.

I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
The story of Wade and Caleb continues in this second book with more adventures. It was amazing the way their relationship evolved and even if they struggled with some challenges that started since book one and another ones brand new, love always win. I don’t want to spoil it for you but I liked especially how the author managed all the situations their relationship arose in the magic world, taking intolerance to the next level, and of course finishing with some nice surprises, and huge changes, simply brilliant!!
I received this book as an ARC and this is my honest opinion.
