His name was Joshua Carter. Now it’s whatever she wants it to be.
She is a Deliverer.
She lures young men and delivers them to be sold. She delivers the strikes that enforce their obedience. She delivers the sexual training that determines their purchase … determines their purchase price.
As long as she delivers, the arrangement that protects her family will hold.
Delivering is all she knows.
The one thing she can’t deliver is a captive from slavery.
Until him.
And her stubborn slave thinks he can deliver her…from herself.

This book has been on my TBR for at least a year and all I am thinking is…why did I not dive in sooner??? I added the audio because I love the narrators and decided to listen instead. OHHH MYYY. I was not prepared. Teddy and Abby absolutely nailed it as Liv and Josh. What a dark, twisty, gloriously emotional listen. I was 10000% vested in these characters and their story. Can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
Deliver literally does deliver quite well!! It is a kidnapping dark romance. The captor is not a man but a woman.
This story drew me with how it showed the female captor to be so strong and alpha like but so vulnerable. I love reading dark stories and this was it for me. The scenes were quite graphic and claustrophobic. If your not a lover of dark scenes this is not for you.
The author portrayed all characters quite well, especially how she showed the victim developing feelings for his captor. There relationship develops into something much more!!
I recommend this book to those who love a graphic, kidnapping, slave and dark type stories, this is it for you.
This is not a traditional story, you will experience the sexual awakening of a male virgin. There are dark themes and the subject matter is not for everyone. I found it to be more of a twisted love story.
You’d expect a story about slave trainers and sex trafficking to be dark and depraved, that was not the case for me. Pam Godwin does a phenomenal job creating characters with complex backgrounds that pull your focus away from their actions. You come to understand their motives and root for their happiness.
Unraveling the layers that are Liv, Josh, and Van takes you on a roller coaster ride. You will go from despising Liv and Van to empathizing with them. The opposite can be said for Josh. His good Christian boy attitude will make you roll you eyes. Then you meet the man behind the mask and you fall in love.
As this book isn’t new, I’m sure you know the next book is Van’s story. It should be interesting to see life from his perspective next time.
So good!!! I loved this book!

5 Star Read!!
This story definitely took me out of my comfort level and I love it!!! I couldn’t put this book down!! Majority of the times when you read a dark romance it is always the male lead that you want to hate for stealing the innocent female but Pam Godwin decided to go against the norm and had the female steal the innocent male! Not only did she break from the norm but just wait for the twist and turns that you will not see coming!! Brace yourself for evil debauchery that Deliver will take you to!!!

** spoiler alert ** Oh, this book. It’s been years since I read it, but as I go through and try to catch up on reviews now that I finally decided to buck up and join Goodreads, this was one of the first I went through and rated, and one of the first I’m sitting here writing a review for.
It’s such a unique take on the dark erotica genre. I’m still not sure Josh actually cares for Liv—I think there’s a very good chance it’s Stockholm—but I’m going to suspend disbelief and just run with it, because it’s so much better that way. During the scenes where Liv is abusing Josh before their big conversation, I hated her with every fiber of my being. Even “knowing” her story. When Josh forgave her, I wanted to shake him into oblivion. But somehow, by the time the book was over, I’d forgiven Liv as well. My moral compass wavered a bit in that ultimate decision, but I think it says a lot about how the story was told and how their relationship builds in the latter part of the story that I was about to overlook that and find some sense of absolution in the ending.
Deliver is the first book in the series of the same name and honestly, what a start to a series! This book just has sooo much going for it and the characters and world building is just – ah! Perfection.
The reason this wasn’t a five star for me was the fact that I didn’t really like Liv that much. I found myself veering towards every other character but her. I love Van, which I know is so wrong but I just can’t help myself!
I do love a dual POV though and I found myself preferring Josh’s chapters for sure! I really enjoyed Josh actually.
The ending was explosive and I didn’t see all of it coming! So that was a nice surprise. But yeah, great start to the series and I know I’m going to read the rest!
I loved this book so much that I’m already on book 3 in the series!
This book hooked me! Liv Reed is such a unique & different character then I’ve ever read. You are immediately pulled into her world. You feel for her, hope & root for her.
Joshua is the perfect match to throw her off balance.
I read this book so fast because I needed to know what happened! I definitely recommend this book to anyone wanting to read it!!
I hate spoilers, so I will refrain from giving any of those. That being said, this book is one that I go back to when I am in the need for something dark and twisted, romantic and wrong. If you love romance with a dark, erotic twist, this one is for you. Deliver follows the world of human trafficking, not only from the standpoint of a slave, but also from the master.
Wow … definitely Dark and not my usual read but I was so pulled in by the characters and couldn’t put the book down wanting to know what was going to happen next. Great writing style, the story flowed well and at a fast pace. I definitely want to ready more by Pam Godwin and I can’t wait to read the next one in this series.

Main Characters: Josh and Liv
I voluntarily and honestly reviewed this book without bias or persuasion from the author.
5 out of 5 stars
Wow, this is a very dark, dark suspense romance. This book should have a note telling that it involves human trafficking and sexual abuse. In the beginning, I wasn’t sure I was going to be able to read this story but I quickly got over that. There was a big shock that I never saw coming. (But in a good way) This is book one of a six-book series. I’m always amazed when authors can come up with such stories. I do recommend this book and I look forward to reading the rest of this series.

Wow, what a book! So many twists and turns!
So, this one had me from the first chapter where we met all three MC’s. And it just kept getting better from there.
It did drag a little from about 70-80% mark and I found myself flicking through the pages just scanning the text to get the gist of what was happening but overall it held my attention pretty well.
I had no problem picturing the world or characters, in fact, I may have pictured one or two of them a little too well if ya catch my drift.
LIV – Liv is awesome sauce. This poor girl has been through the wringer and is somehow still sane. Kinda.
She was captured at 17 and trained to be a sex slave but, well, something went horribly wrong and now she is doing the training. That started seven years ago!. But don’t hate on her quite yet. The thing is, she has no choice. These people are forcing her to do this by threatening the lives of the only two people in the world she cares about.
A hellish position to be in, for sure.
This last male she scouted out to be a slave though? Well, there’s something about him that she just can’t help but be drawn to, however, she can’t show him any kindness at all because she only has ten weeks to train him up and pass him on to the buyer.
She is one tough cookie and I love her. She has been holding it all together for seven years in order to save the ones she loves but now, things are starting to crumble.
VAN – For most of the book I’ve been hating on this a-hole. He’s an abusive, manipulative, raping a*se of a man and I wanted him dead. HOWEVER! I don’t know how she did it, but Pam Godwin had me catchin’ feels for this fucker towards the end of the story!
He is everything that is wrong in Liv’s life and has more than a few “oddities” (mannequins and hair, y’all).
He’s her partner in crime and helps catch and train these men and women to become sex slaves to whoever pays enough.
He’s also freakin’ obsessed with Liv.
In his very own sick and twisted way he really does love her, but it’s not at all healthy and is extremely disturbing.
JOSH – Poor Josh. He’s the all American good guy. He’s the college quarterback, helps his parents run the farm morning and night and is training to be a minister.
100% virgin. 100% innocent. Until he’s captured.
You would think he’d be easy to mold being so pure and stuff but he’s not. He’s strong-willed and stubborn…and it turns out this “good boy” has a thing for pain!
Yup, mister holier than thou is a pain slut (that’s what they call him in this book anyway. Is that a PC term?).
I liked him most of the time. He sounded pretty hot but I prefer my men to be dishin’ out the pain, yo, not taking it.
I wasn’t keen on him trying to sort of spout out bible shit when things were getting dark either. But again that’s my personal aversion to any “bible shit” at all, lol.
SEX SCENES – All bible sayings aside, the sex was steamy! Mm-hmm. It sure was. I loved how he learned from Liv and discovered things that really worked for him.
FINAL THOUGHTS – Like I said before this book had a few twists and turns that I was just not expecting.
At one point I was sure the story was wrapped up, but no! Boom! There’s more, lol.
The ending was perfect and I may just get the next in series to see what happens.
Ooh! Something I LOVED about this book is that it came with a freakin’ playlist!
Check it out.

A dark. violent and disturbing read by Pam here, it certainly captured my attention within the first few pages and didn’t let go, can’t wait to read the rest!!
Liv is a Deliverer, she captures, breaks and trains kids to be sex slaves. She’s been doing this for 7 yrs, having been a slave herself, she is now the trainer. She has her sights set on Josh, but he’s different from her usual slaves, he has a family and is the star of the local football team, but she goes after him anyway. She has 10 wks to train him for his new buyer.
Josh may be a virgin and raised a christian by his parents, whom he helps on their farm, but he has some naughty dark and dirty thoughts, which Liv finds out as she tries to train him. The problem being Liv and Josh have this connection, they are attracted to each other, even with the situation Josh is in. But he’s not submissive, he’s assertive, not a rule follower, and likes pain. He sees beneath Liv’s masks at the woman underneath and feels he can help her out of a bad situation.
A very gripping, angsty read, very unusual with a woman domme as the ‘master’ and not a male, with the male victim being subjected to sexual abuse and training from her. Hot, dark, sexy, dirty, a very different read from the norm, and I really enjoyed it and can’t wait to read the rest.
An unexpected gem that had me glued to the pages and thinking beyond the story. I wasn’t sure what to expect going into this book but I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. While the story is filled with darkness and difficult subjects, the way Josh’s light shined through brought hope and reminded me just how powerful it can be. I loved the relationships between the characters and didn’t see certain twists which made the story all the more powerful and tragic. If you want something dark yet restorative, give this a try!
Pam Godwin did a hell of a job with this book. I always seem to struggle with 3rd person writing. But this flowed so well that it didn’t even feel like 3rd person. Her writing is top notch and Deliver was everything I hoped it’d be. I love the twisted and depraved. It was torturously sexy. The twists and turns weren’t expected at all and really brought everything together! Josh and Livs story was amazing! Can’t wait for the next one!
Omg! I loved this book. I usually hate books written in 3rd person but the writing was so good, i got in to it straight away.
A female kidnapper that trains them to be sex slaves, this is new for me and is done tastefully and the writting flows beautifully.
I hated Liv at first, she did horrible things but then her past and motivations are brought to light and you understand why she is doing it all.
Her intentions take a different turn with Josh and they start to fall for each other.
liv’s secrets unravel and one big secret is revealed and WOW did not see that coming.
I hated Van but i have a feeling there is more behind the way he is and i cant wait to read more about him.
This book started out so dark, I almost stopped reading after about 40 pages. Luckily, I have made it a rule to fight my way through at least the first 100 pages of a book before giving up. But, if I hadn’t taken a peek near the end of the book, I still might have given up by page 47!
Nevertheless, this turned out to be a magnificent read! I enjoyed the characters and the story line, and am looking forward to reading the rest of the series!
The cover is what drew me to this book, those eyes- obviously! I went into this book after reading the blurb, knowing that it was not the usual type of book that I read. I do not mind dark romance at all but I do have to be in the mood for it. I was intrigued right from the first chapter. Liv is a very unique character, and I can admit there are times I absolutely hated her. She does despicable things and the majority of the time, shows no remorse for them. Then you see another side of Liv and you somewhat understand the person she has become. Her character sends you on an emotional rollercoaster, unsure if you should love or hate her because you are able to do both and at the same time! I applaud Pam Godwin for accomplishing that with her! I loved Josh from the beginning, his strength, faith, understanding and determination, but then that is who is character is and he doesn’t deviate from being that character you love. There is so much I could say about this book but I won’t spoil it. It is dark romance at it’s best and if you are fan of that genre, pick it up. Read it and enjoy the love/hate relationship you will have more than just Liv, but with Van too.
Absolutely amazing!
This story totally blew my mind. It wasn’t what I expected and was totally different from the usual captive/slave romances I’ve read before. Liv and Josh’s story was definitely new for me. I’ve read plenty of captive/slave romances, but it was always from the female’s perspective with the male being the captor/Dominant. Having those tables turned was an aspect I wasn’t sure I’d enjoy as much as I did. I didn’t think I could enjoy a male submissive…but the way this story was told it was like Josh was the best of both worlds.
The love story that bloomed from their circumstance was beautiful and so different from what I’m accustomed to and I truly LOVED it! With complex characters, character strength and an unforgettable storyline…this is a MUST READ!
Deliver is a dark romance, one that is full of twists and turns, raw and gritty. It is not a read for the faint at heart. It is really a psychological romance read. This book looks at sex trafficking and it’s unique about who the “master” is. There are so many emotions that this story brings forth. You will run the spectrum when reading book 1 in this series. Get ready for a rollercoaster of a ride.
My Rating: 4.5 stars ******
