USA Today bestselling author Melissa Schroeder returns to her romantic comedy roots with a brand new three book series-Camos and Cupcakes!Allison Bradley has always known what she wanted. At thirteen, I decided to be a nurse. That very same year, I fell in love with Ed Cooper. Sure, I was barely a teenager and he was one of my older brother’s buddies from boot camp. I didn’t care. I was in love or … I didn’t care. I was in love or lust…or something. He consumed my every waking thought. Sadly, fifteen years later, I’m still infatuated and he sees me as a little sister.
Baker Ed Cooper has a problem.
When she was a teenager, Allison was a sweet nuisance. Now, I want to take a bite of her to see just how sweet. I’m beyond infatuated with her but she’s my best friend’s little sister. Definitely against the bro code. Every time she comes into our shop-which is just about every freaking day-I lust after her. If her brother knew, he would definitely kill me.
One drunken kiss changes everything.
The moment Allison’s mouth hits mine, I know there’s no going back. Just one taste of her turns me into an addict. Even though I know I’m not good enough for her, once I’ve had her in my bed, I know I’m not giving her up.
Warning: This story includes so much sweetness from the strawberry lemonade cupcakes to the sexy giant of a baker you might end up with cavities. There are meddling best friends, an older brother who needs to get his own life, and so much frosting used in inappropriate ways you’ll probably die of embarrassment. Or I will. Maybe not. Listen, just buy the book and get ready for sweet, hot, over the top kind of romance that will leave you craving for more than cupcakes. You’re welcome.

I loved this sweet and sassy story of Allison Nd Ed. The characters in this story were endearing and the story was funny and interesting. Good read.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is a sweet story with a lot of humor mixed in. It’s a quick, easy, fun read that I didn’t want to put down.
It takes time for Allison and Ed to finally get together because they don’t realize they feel the same towards each other however one drunken night changes it all. I can’t wait for “Luscious,” the next in the series!
Quick enjoyable and funny story. Allison is Ed’s Sunshine and Ed is her Ginger Jesus cuz of his red hair and his cupcake creations.
Allison is a chemo nurse, and has been in love with Ed for years. Best buddy to her brother and co-owner with him and their other buddy Fritz. Big brother does the books, Ed is the baker, and Fritz is basically customer service and marketing.
Unknown to Allison, Ed has crushed on her for years too.
A drunken night with her gal pals and a ride home from Ed leave Ed at her apartment for some yummy morning fun and treats, and what may be the start of an HEA.
Steamy yet sweet love story!

This is book one in the Camos and Cupcakes series and it features Ed and Allison. The base story for Camos and Cupcakes is fabulous! Three military guys leave the service and open a bakery…a very successful bakery! Each contributing something different. Ed is the master baker. How much more delicious can you get? A gorgeous ginger that is 6‘4“ and can bake! He is also deliciously talented in other rooms of the house other than the kitchen. Allison’s been in love/lust with him since she was a teen. Now that he’s out of the service and has been back in San Antonio for two years, he’s trying very hard not to act on the feelings he has for his best friend’s sister. These two are explosive together! They are good friends but discover they have been missing out on so much more for two years already.
I adore everything about this book. The story is fantastic! The characters are awesome and are people I’d love to be friends with. They are fun, funny, loyal and normal every-day people. This is a fun, sexy romance that leaves you feeling good with a smile on your face and I can’t wait for book two!
Delicious by Melissa Schroeder is a contemporary romance. It’s the first book from the Camos and Cupcakes series.
This one is about Ed Cooper and Allison Bradley.
Alisson had a teenage crush on Ed since she was thirteen that grew over the years. Now that he had opened a bakery with her brother, Harry, and their other friend, Fritz, she was seeing him constantly. Ed was the baker and he was too damn good at it, she couldn’t resist his creations and that gave her an excuse to be close to him. Her best friends, EJ and Savannah, had figured out her infatuation with him
and urged her to go after him. Alisson was hesitant since she believed that he saw her only as a little sister. Of course, that changed
one fateful night (or morning). A drunk confession and a sinful dare made them realize that they belonged together.
It’s such a cute and sexy story. It’s fast-paced and focused on the lust/romance between the main characters. The first half of it is
too funny and romantic while the other half is way too spicy. I loved the characters and their interactions. The friendly banters were
my favorite parts. The erotic ones weren’t too far behind, those were amazing as well. I liked that their love was like a teenage one
with the secret lusting and the googly eyes.
In conclusion, it’s a great story perfect for a wine night. I will rate it with 4.5 stars.
A cute, sweet, & steamy read! Perfect for those days that you just want to forget the world. Ed & Allison have a cute history and I like that they got their HEA with minimal problems.
This was such a cute romantic comedy! Allison and Ed have been circling each other for years, and it’s finally time for someone to take action! With sweet treats and sexy bakers involved, you know something’s gotta give! Loved this fun and hilarious romance!
This was such a sweet and over-the-top read that I think it really did give me cavities. I loved it! It’s the first time I read this author and now I am hooked. The story is short but it’s perfect for a short, relaxing read and exactly what I needed.
This is the 1st book in a new series and what a fantastic beginning this story is. Allison has been infatuated with her older brother’s best friend for years, and over time her feeling become more. Ed always treated Allison like a little sister, and now that he is definitely noticing her, and she torments him every time she comes into his shop. After a night out with her girlfriends a drunk Allison kisses Ed, which changes things. This is a well written quick read which is humorous, entertaining, and is sweet, with witty banter. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
4.5 Stars for Delicious ( Camos and Cupcakes #1)
I really can’t believe this is the first book I have read by Melissa Schroeder but it certainly won’t be the last because I loved Allison Bradley and Ed Cooper’s story.
Allison fell in love with Ed when she was 13 years old it was the same year she decided she was going to be a nurse but now 15 years later she is struggling to understand why he still see’s her as his best friends little sister, what does a girl have to do to make him see what’s right before his eyes…..
What can she do to make him cross the line and will one kiss change their lives forever…..
This is a fun, entertaining, friends to lovers story with plenty of witty banter and sizzling chemistry. If you are looking for a book that will make you smile look no further than Delicious.
This was such a cute read about a brother’s best friend and the younger sibling who has pined after him for years. Allison has always harbored feelings for Ed but he has never seen her as more than that annoying little sister, but what she doesn’t know he hasn’t been looking at her that way for years. They tip toe around each other fighting feelings because they both fear their feelings are not reciprocated. One night Ed helps to see Allison home after a fun girl’s night out and feelings are slipped out and the next morning they are finding it hard to fight their feelings any longer. This group of friends were amazing, caring, and fun. Ed and Alison were meant to be and it just gave me all the warm and fuzzies with heaping spoonfuls of steam.
5 star review Delicious (Camos and Cupcakes #1) by Melissa Schroeder
This is the first book in the series and is Allison Bradley and Ed Copper’s story and although not a particularly long read Melissa Schroeder packed a lot of fun and entertainment into Delicious. It is well written with characters who you cannot help but fall for.
Allison has been in love with Ed since she was 13 years old, the fact that he is best friends with her older brother Harry only complicates matters. However, 15 years later he still sees her as a little sister much to her frustration. Knowing that he would cross the line if he showed her his true feelings Ed does his best to hide them.
However all it takes is one kiss to chance the course of both their lives. I really enjoyed this friends to lovers story, the chemistry between Allison and Ed sizzled and the banter witty. The friendship that Allison has with her best friends Savannah and EJ was heartwarming.
This was a fun book that left me with a smile on my face. Oh and I have to say I really loved the sound of the strawberry lemonade cupcakes.
My review..
What do you get when you add a pinch of sugar a whole lot of spice and frosting that should be illegal ? Deliciouness all rolled up into one hottie named Ed .
Allison has had the biggest crush on her brothers best friend for years , that crush turned into love but she didn’t want to ruin not only their friendship but her brothers friendship with Ed as well.
So she sat back and ate her cupcakes trying to compensate her feelings in as many strawberry lemonade cupcakes as her stomach could handle .
However Ed had feelings for Allison as well but because of his friendship with Harry Allison’s brother and his business partner he kept those feelings close to his chest. That is until one night Allison get Drunk and tells Ed how she feels.
Soon all bets are off friendships and brothers be damed Ed the baker was going to bake his way into Allison’s heart and never let her up for air again.
I really enjoyed this short story and I loved the banter between the characters the txt msgs had me laughing out loud between Allison and her two best friends EJ and Savannah . I’m looking forward to reading the next book in this series .

This was a good book. I will read the rest of the series. I really enjoyed reading this book. I would definitely recommend this book.
These two were sunshine and cupcakes? Absolutely loved this book. Everything about it. And 3 hot ex-military guys owning a cupcake bakery….yeah…sign me up. I have always been a Melissa Schroeder fan, but I think this is my favorite series of hers. So damn good. I just couldn’t get enough.
Ed is the hot ginger friend of her brothers that she had been crushing on since she was a teenager. I loved the reference that she had always crushed on the Weasley twins. Fast forward and he is running a cupcake bakery with his 2 besties….and she still has the biggest crush on him. Ok, this part got me and made me an Ed fan for life, he named a cupcake after her, yup I would’ve proposed to him right there…just sayin. Add in the fact that he always smells like a bakery…yup proposal, just like that. Clearly Ed has a crush on her too, so when she needs a ride from him, it all comes out the next morning. Once these two figure out they both have been crushing on each other since he came home, they do not waste any time, and I loved it.
This was a safe read, once they are together it’s a done deal. This book was hilarious, like laugh out loud funny. The fact that it was also sexy and hot af, just an added bonus. These two really were like sunshine and cupcakes, adored them so much. We get a little shower fun and frosting shenanigans *winks*. Loved all the secondary characters too. They all crack me up, especially her friends. We get an epilogue and an hea. Oh, and there are two more books in the series, did I mention that? Yeah, I totally meant too. Book crack series.
I’ve read many of Melanie Schroeder’s books and even though I’ve come to expect excellent writing from her, she still always manages to blow me away. I read this one (Book 1 in the series, Camos and Cupcakes) after having read Book 2 – LUSCIOUS. This book, like all her books, shines as a stand alone. DELICIOUS checks all the boxes for me: main characters who are smart, complex, flawed and passionate. You can’t help but fall in love and care about them. The supporting cast of characters add depth to the story filled with all sorts of clever dialogue: between characters, internal, and where Ed and Allison are concerned – speaking directly to the reader. The sexual tension between these two characters builds and burns and provides the hotness Ms. Schroeder’s fans love. And I am a fan and this one is a Winner. Again. Highly recommend.
Hot and fast read. Drama, steam, action galore. Love this series. The author puts so much in a short story. Five stars.
Great book. The story line was easy to follow. This is a great quick love story. I loved how simple and happy this book made me feel. As always Ms. Schroeder delivers. I have yet to read a book i did not like of hers.
.
