I’ve loved him for years, but never told him. One drunken kiss changed everything.Allison Bradley has always known what she wanted. At thirteen, I decided to be a nurse. That very same year, I fell in love with Ed Cooper. Sure, I was barely a teenager and he was one of my older brother’s buddies from boot camp. I didn’t care. I was in love or lust…or something. He consumed my every waking thought. … every waking thought. Sadly, fifteen years later, I’m still infatuated and he sees me as a little sister.
Baker Ed Cooper has a problem.
When she was a teenager, Allison was a sweet nuisance. Now, I want to take a bite of her to see just how sweet. I’m beyond infatuated with her but she’s my best friend’s little sister. Definitely against the bro code. Every time she comes into our shop–which is just about every freaking day–I lust after her. If her brother knew, he would definitely kill me.
One drunken kiss changes everything.
The moment Allison’s mouth hits mine, I know there’s no going back. Just one taste of her turns me into an addict. Even though I know I’m not good enough for her, once I’ve had her in my bed, I know I’m not giving her up.
Warning: This story includes so much sweetness from the strawberry lemonade cupcakes to the sexy giant of a baker you might end up with cavities. There are meddling best friends, an older brother who needs to get his own life, and so much frosting used in inappropriate ways you’ll probably die of embarrassment. Or I will. Maybe not. Listen, just buy the book and get ready for sweet, hot, over the top kind of romance that will leave you craving for more than cupcakes. You’re welcome.

This was a good book. I will read the rest of the series. I really enjoyed reading this book. I would definitely recommend this book.
These two were sunshine and cupcakes? Absolutely loved this book. Everything about it. And 3 hot ex-military guys owning a cupcake bakery….yeah…sign me up. I have always been a Melissa Schroeder fan, but I think this is my favorite series of hers. So damn good. I just couldn’t get enough.
Ed is the hot ginger friend of her brothers that she had been crushing on since she was a teenager. I loved the reference that she had always crushed on the Weasley twins. Fast forward and he is running a cupcake bakery with his 2 besties….and she still has the biggest crush on him. Ok, this part got me and made me an Ed fan for life, he named a cupcake after her, yup I would’ve proposed to him right there…just sayin. Add in the fact that he always smells like a bakery…yup proposal, just like that. Clearly Ed has a crush on her too, so when she needs a ride from him, it all comes out the next morning. Once these two figure out they both have been crushing on each other since he came home, they do not waste any time, and I loved it.
This was a safe read, once they are together it’s a done deal. This book was hilarious, like laugh out loud funny. The fact that it was also sexy and hot af, just an added bonus. These two really were like sunshine and cupcakes, adored them so much. We get a little shower fun and frosting shenanigans *winks*. Loved all the secondary characters too. They all crack me up, especially her friends. We get an epilogue and an hea. Oh, and there are two more books in the series, did I mention that? Yeah, I totally meant too. Book crack series.
I’ve read many of Melanie Schroeder’s books and even though I’ve come to expect excellent writing from her, she still always manages to blow me away. I read this one (Book 1 in the series, Camos and Cupcakes) after having read Book 2 – LUSCIOUS. This book, like all her books, shines as a stand alone. DELICIOUS checks all the boxes for me: main characters who are smart, complex, flawed and passionate. You can’t help but fall in love and care about them. The supporting cast of characters add depth to the story filled with all sorts of clever dialogue: between characters, internal, and where Ed and Allison are concerned – speaking directly to the reader. The sexual tension between these two characters builds and burns and provides the hotness Ms. Schroeder’s fans love. And I am a fan and this one is a Winner. Again. Highly recommend.
Hot and fast read. Drama, steam, action galore. Love this series. The author puts so much in a short story. Five stars.
Great book. The story line was easy to follow. This is a great quick love story. I loved how simple and happy this book made me feel. As always Ms. Schroeder delivers. I have yet to read a book i did not like of hers.
.

Likable main characters, interesting side characters and a happy ending. The story isn’t bad but it just didn’t capture me. Enjoy.
***I decided to review an ARC of this book.***
Allison has had a crush on Ed for awhile and she never thought he felt the same for her. Then one night everything changed between them. Harry told Ed he was going to cancel a date because his sister and her friends were having a girls night and that meant he would be needed to drive them home. Ed offered to fill in for him so Ed was surprised when he actually got the call to go pick up the girls. When he arrives at the restaurant Allison is pleasantly drunk and very open with Ed her Ginger Jesus. Ed only has to take her home thankfully but is worried about leaving her alone so plans to stay. However some of what she has said to him makes him think if she feels for him like he does for her. So the next morning when Alison wakes she has no memory of bringing anyone home with her but hears someone in her home and texts her girls before she realizes its Ed. Walking out in a t-shirt she watches as he is baking breakfast for her when he sees what she is wearing it blows his mind. Allison loves that she is tempting him into giving in to her and pushes him until he does what they both want. Yet later when her brother shows up will he cause things to end between her and Ed before they had a chance to really start?
This is an amazing story that will have you laughing out loud at parts. The chemistry between them is off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

A buff red-headed baker is the thing I didn’t know I wanted until this book. Ed is a great Hero. Allison is a great heroine with an even better friend group. The entire time I was reading, I kept thinking about how I would love to read their stories. This is just a very cute, very hot brother’s best friend romance that I definitely recommend.
This was a deliciously sexy story that I thoroughly enjoyed! Author Melissa Schroeder did a great job with the storytelling and I loved the romance, friendship and humor that was incorporated into the scenes. I really liked Ed and Allison together. I smiled and laughed so much while I was reading and the sex scenes were super hot. What a way to start off a new series and I cannot wait for the next book.
The first book in the Camos and Cupcakes series and I want to read the next book. This is Allison Bradley a chemo nurse and baker Ed Cooper’s story about two people who have been in love with the other for sometime and just have not told the other until one drunken night. I enjoyed reading how these two come together. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I love this story of Ed and Allison. The slow build up over the time before the story makes it all the more sweet. Ed is sexy beyond words. Allison is fierce and fun. She is fun loving with great friends and a good family. There is humor, there is spice. All of the pieces fit together so well, just like Ed and Allison. I love the backstory. Ed’s life’s work, profession, is fresh and interesting. Ed’s friends, Allison’s family, all strong characters that help build the story.

I loved this wonderful rom-com. Allison and Ed’s story was funny, sweet, steamy, emotional and downright delightful. I thought that the chemistry was amazing and that this couple was truly meant to be. A great cast of supporting characters will leave you eager for their stories and anxious for more books from this series. Perfection!
Allison and Ed have been friends since they were young but these days Ed has more than friendship on his mind when he sees Allison. He can never act on these feelings since she is his best friends’ little sister but oh how he wishes he could. Allison has always loved Ed ever since they were young teens Ed has been the one for her, but she knows he doesn’t see her that way, or does he? One kiss changes their lives and the two must decide if they want to fight for their happiness or not. Allison and Ed’s story is a quick feel good read. I really enjoyed seeing these two find their way to a happy ever after. They make a great couple. Not only did Ed and Allison grab my attention but the secondary characters made themselves known as well and I hope that we get to see more of them in the future. This book is a fun and engaging read that had me right from the start.
Not only did the cupcakes make me salivate, Ed is definitely drool worthy. Ed and Allison had held onto a hidden attraction for years and one drunken night provides them with the opportunity to reveal their hidden desires. This is a light hearted story with intense attraction and funny little puns. EJ, Allison and Savannah are a hoot. 3 best friends who don’t hold back, and are as close as sisters. A short read that I did not want to put down and written in Melissa style with mouth watering sensual scenes that make me hot under the collar. I can’t wait to read more about the cupcake men and how they attract their yang.

Delicious is right, I would love to sample both Ed and the Cupcakes. Short, sexy, ans funny, Allison and Ed carry on an easy banter that comes from knowing eachother a long time. This friends to lovers book kept me turning the pages. I am anxiously awaiting the next story.

Allison has had a crush on Edward ever since she laid eyes on him. The passage of time has intensified the fantasies she has about Ed, but she is doubtful that he could be interested in her. Ed values the close bond he shares with Allison’s brother Harry. There’s nothing he wouldn’t do for the man he met years ago in basic training. Well almost nothing, because he can’t stop the sinfully decadent thoughts about Allison that torment him. Tequila is the best matchmaker. A night out on the town leads to truths being revealed. This story was as sweet as the confectioneries that Ed created, with lots of heat. This was the perfect afternoon read.
We meet Allison and Ed in the first book. A beautiful love story, unforbidden, unrequited but not! Great loveable characters. If you love well written sexy times, this is the book for you. Loved it!
