Interesting premise.
I am a big Tess Thompson fan. She writes heartwarming stories with some sub-plots going. Her characters are wonderful. I would highly recommend them – even to a middle schooler.
very good story
I love this series as it follows five couples relationships.
LOVED the HEA after so many misunderstandings….
This book is nice to read but it is boring at the end. It took me a while to finish it.
At times it told to much details that wasn’t necessary and at other places more information was needed. It was an ok book”
Different and very entertaining.
Awesome book. A must read.
enjoyed the plot and the realistic family relationship.
This book was a hard read for me. Way too many story lines going on. The two main characters were so childish like – with dialogue to match. “Can I court you?” We are going steady.” Who says that?? Had great potential…
Very well written.
It was really good until the last part where the old girlfriend came to say she was pregnant. This has been used in other books and it is redundant.
Lot of “didn’t know what was going to happen “
Jackson and Maggie had been together since they were kids. His parents took her in when her mom died. When they grew up, Maggie went to New York to become a star. Little did she know, her dad told everyone she had died. When letters were returned unopened and no one called, Maggie assumed no one cared about her. Twelve years later, her dad calls her home because he is dying. Maggie thinks her dad has secrets and she wants to find them out before he passes away. Jackson thinks he is going crazy because he can’t get over Maggie and thinks he sees her everywhere. Will these two reunite and have a second chance at love and marriage? This storyline is great!
Jackson and Maggie were high school sweethearts. But it all came to end their senior year. Maggie wanted to pursue her dream of singing and Jackson didn’t want her to leave, so they broke up. Both not knowing that’s not what they wanted! Maggie was close with Jackson’s family and her dad didn’t like it, so he told them a lie saying she died on her way to New York in a car accident. So for 12 years they all grieved a girl that wasn’t dead. I loved this story. Because Maggie gets a call about her dad being on his death bed and decides to return home. When she is discovered, that’s when the truth is revealed and Jackson finds his way back to Maggie! It was like the perfect ending for a second chance love story!! I loved it!
This is such a good series. Just two books in and I’m in love with Cliffside Bay. A small out of the way, off the broken road, little town that really doesn’t welcome visitors. Yet Ms Thompson found a home for a group of young men who have a brotherhood that began while they attended college. Now these men are re-establishing their lives on the Cliffside of the Pacific Coast.. Jackson and Maggie have a past, a broken past – this is their story. Put other books aside and pull Ms Thompson’s covers up for a beautiful story of coming back home. These young men Ms. Thompson created will tug at your hearts – and their women will tug at theirs.
What a fabulous love story that started when Jackson and Maggie were young children. Love the story line and especially all the DOGS in the story. Cliffside Bay sounds like a place I’d love to live. Both Maggie and Jackson share tragedy within their own families…but their love and dedication to the ones they love bring them back together as one…Tess is a new author to me introduced through a friend and I must say I am hooked
Coming home is hard enough when you think the whole town hates you, coming home to find out your father faked your death is a whole nother. Maggie thought the town sided with the live of her life, she didnt expect to come home to find her own grave site.
This is about finding your long lost love and moving forward with your life.
I can not recommend this book enough. I couldn’t put it down
Wow Tess Thompson did it again, #2 in the series and I could not put the book down. Jackson’s love for Maggie since they were kids brings heartache and surprises. A good read!
