Reckless. Wild. Legends. Adelaide.Reckless.Debauched.Savage princess.Zane.Wild.Depraved.Venomous prince. One midsummer night that cruel bitch called, fate, decided we needed to meet, setting off a chain of events that would change both of our lives forever.Hating him was innate.Loving him was unexpected.I was the nitro. He was the dynamite.Together we were catastrophic.
Our girl is the daughter of our dear Barbie maniac from Savages – Calista- and the daughter of the great Devil Romero (hot tattooed crazy), she and her friends (children also of other savages) are on a mission to rescue their brothers who left the property of the Savages. Here it will be an essential part to get to know the new characters and get ready because a lot will leave you heartbroken!
Things get out of control quickly and what was supposed to be something simple becomes a mountain of problems.
Our maniac boy is Prince of another faction who hates the Savages but is charmed by a blonde girl who smiles at him when he points a gun at his head. He is the leader of the second best faction in Badlands and his obsession with the princess of the Savages will be bloody.
This story is the beginning of a great intrigue from other factions, as Natalie’s books are always full of graphic violence and heavy subjects, if you are not used to this universe I suggest going away!
I, as a big fan of this author, love this series and each book gets more obscure and heavy.
“Everything degenerate flourished in the blackest corners of the sickest minds.
How come I waited so long before experiencing the universe of Natalie Bennett’s Darklands?
That book was everything I needed at the moment, playing with my boundaries.
The author thoroughly used the ultra-violence to serve the plot, enhancing the mystery, the horror show.
Fast-paced, Degenerates (Darklands New Generation #1) took me into a breathtaking chase, filled with action and intensity.
“I naively thought I’d be able to handle this—handle him— but nothing could have prepared me for the beautiful tragedy that was, Zane Belial.”
I discovered the different characters with this book, as well as their families whose stories I will explore in the previous installments. Prince and princess, gangs members and royal blood enticed me. I couldn’t put the book down, I needed to know the outcome and find out the truth of the alliances. Danger, betrayals, tension…welcome to the Darklands. Rescue quest? Revenge mission? Zane and Addie captured my interest from the get-go. Their vision of romance only belongs to them, which made me smile (and fan myself)
“If my princess wanted romance she could sit her pussy on my face and I’d write some poetry with my tongue.”
If you are in the mood for a thrilling, dangerous, striking dark story, this one is for you!
“I hate you. I’m obsessed with you. You’re everything I want. I’m everything you need.”
I VOLUNTARILY REVIEWED AN ARC COPY OF THIS BOOK. THANK YOU!!!
I really enjoyed this action packed page turner. It’s full of secrets, twist and turns, and a little of the unexpected. Zane and Adelaide is on a dark and twisted journey. Their love may not be perfect but it’s perfect for them.
This is another ‘pains me to do this’ type of thing because I love this author and her books. She does dark like no other and I love the guys she writes–assholes you love to hate. But this book like Heathens didn’t do it for me.
I was just not a real fan of Addie. I can’t really pinpoint the exact thing about her but I just don’t like her as a character. I expected more from her seeing as who her parents are. Also, the relationship between her and Zane. Meh. It was him saying you’re gonna be mine. Her saying nope, you’ll never get me. Then all of a sudden they’re fucking, which I don’t have necessarily have a problem with. I mean, sex in these books is off the chart. But the insta I’m yours thing as soon as you touch me….eh. Dickmatized, y’all. She’s been dickmatized.
I also didn’t feel it was as dark as the previous books in the series. I’m spoiled, I know. Give me the torture and mayhem I crave.
Maybe I still have a longing for the characters in the previous books and don’t want to move on to this next generation. Hopefully the next book will do it for me. I’m liking Nyx more anyway so fingers crossed.
~The Badlands showed no mercy to anyone. It didn’t discriminate against color, faith, or gender. It challenged you to do one thing and one thing only, survive.~
I can’t say enough how much I love the Badlands. It’s a place where the most inhumane acts of depravity take place. It is a place where the sickest of minds thrive, a place where you must kill or be killed. Taking a trip back to this perversely twisted, immoral territory had my little dark soul screaming with excitement.
Adelaide lived up to my expectations in relation to the deplorable acts set by her depraved parents. Her eagerness to maim, mangle, mutilate, and crucify anyone that crosses her path the wrong way is imaginative and enthusiastic.
Zane is brutally barbaric and fiercely unyielding. He wants Addy and strikes just like a snake to possess the Savage Princess. The two are wildly explosive and burn up the pages with their sexual encounters.
In my opinion this book could garner a higher status with some refinement and particular attention to detail of the mechanics of the book.
3.5* Savage Stars
So it was fabulous to be back in the badlands and continue the story here with “Degenerates” the next generation of savages.
Settling in with a whole new chapter and cast: the offspring of the previous books now get their chance to shine in the spotlight of this messed up wasteland and as usual, this was pretty hardcore right from the get-go.
Blood, gore murder and mayhem is the name of the game here and this particular author is the queen of dark.
So this story features Adelaide Savage Princess and Zane Venomous prince.
These two both from separate factions along with their families join forces to rescue their siblings who have gone AWOL somewhere over in district 9.
So Savage and Venom working and coming together here in more ways than one.
A match made in heaven and sweet hell.
This is a series I adore so much so was ever so excited to get stuck in here and though this isn’t my favourite of the badland books for me this was still a great addition to the series.
I don’t think this one was as particularly dark as others by this author but this was still pretty darn gruesome in places.
I really liked the growing connection between Addy and Zane: but I wasn’t a fan of Zane’s little friend’s inclusion at the start of this; I just didn’t see the need.
Hope that little number isn’t going to come back at a later date and throw a spanner in the works: unrequited feelings are savage can see that one coming back to bite Zane in the bum.
was also fantastic to catch up briefly with all the old gang: though this is predominantly now the kid’s roadshow.
This was as you would expect ramped up and despite thinking It wouldn’t catch me unawares did manage to throw a giant curveball that I just never saw coming.
If you like your fiction on the psychotic sick side then this should definitely tick all your boxes.
It certainly ticked mine.
I voluntary reviewed an Arc of Degenerates (Badlands Book Five).
All opinions expressed are entirely my own.

I have been a fan of the Badlands series since the first book and have been highly anticipating this one. And I can say …. Holy hades was it freaking fantastic!! Yes, there is rage, twisted acts, mutilation, and destruction. But there is also suspense and betrayal and also passion and love.
Zane and Adelaide remind me so much of Cali and Rome that is like looking at a mirror. I wasn’t sure about her in the beginning, but I should have trusted the author because when the crazy came out, it is FABULOUS! Adelaide proves just why she is a Savage Princess! And Zane definitely shows why he can handle her crazy and just how much like Rome he is.
Overall, freaking loved it! The new generation is really going to cause some waves in the coming book. There were definitely some shocks that I didn’t see coming. I will say that in the next books, it looks like blood will reign and I do HOPE that death’s daughter is about to come into her own and I can’t wait to see how much destruction she leaves in her wake!
Dark, deviant and disturbing… Natalie Bennett welcomes us back to the brutal world of the Badlands with the next generation of Savages bringing us more debauchery and depravity, featuring Adelaide (Addy), the oldest daughter of the Devil and his wicked Queen – Rome and Cali.
The Badlands hit my list of Top 10 Favorite Reads of 2018 so I am beyond thrilled that this author decided to continue with this series and give me more of what my twisted black heart desires.
Because my inky heart loves the dark side.
With this generation of deviants, we find Addy and her band of savage misfits roaming through the Badlands to find their younger siblings who have been taken by another deadly rival gang – the Stags, only to run into Zane and his crew of the Venom. And when Addy and Zane first meet, there’s an innate hatred between them because of the bad blood shared between their two rival gangs… but there’s something about Zane that she finds intriguing and awakens her demons.
Addy is the Savage Princess. Zane is the Venomous Prince. One is the nitro, the other is the dynamite, and when they collide, an explosive chemistry is ignited between the two and had I’d been reading an actual book instead of my Kindle, the pages would’ve incinerated because DAMN… these two were scorching HOT. Both of their immoral hearts beat to the same wicked tune. They were absolutely perfect together.
“We were one in the same yet so different—Savage and Venom. One day he would be a king. I would be a queen. And now I was his, and for better or for worse, he was mine. When this was over, we would be legends.”
There’s twists, turns, deception and treachery to be discovered in this dark dystopian romance, and although it’s probably one of the lighter books in the series as far as gore goes, it’s still pretty dark with some hella disturbing scenes. Adelaide did not disappoint with her savagery in this book, she was a twisted angel with something sinister lurking beneath the surface… and Zane owned me. He was oddly sweet when it came to Addy, but he was as ruthless and deadly as they come. Even though I wanted Natalie to go a bit darker with this book, it was still an awesome read and I can’t wait until Hellions is released in a few days to get Nyx and Malaki’s story. I have a feeling it’s going to get pitch black and I couldn’t be any more excited!
I absolutely love the Badlands series by this author. It totally messed with my head and I loved every minute of it. Words cannot describe how happy I was to read that there was gonna be books on the Next Generation.
Degenearates. Wow. This was everything and so much more. Adelaide and Zane are truly epic. What an amazing pair they are.
This book is everything. I rarely re read but this is a series I will be re reading in the future. If you enjoy your reads twisted, dark and messing with your head then read this series.
Degenerates was the deliciously dark and riveting introduction to the next generation of Badlands. I enjoyed the slow buildup and getting to know the new generation of Savages and Venom because once things picked up I was in for one wild ride!
Lethal, ruthless, sassy, fiercely loyal with a heart of gold Addie is just what I expected the Savage princess to be. Zane is nothing like what I expected. Dominant, deadly, deviant, used to taking what he wants yet I absolutely loved seeing the side of him reserved solely for Addie. Their instant connection and fiery chemistry leapt off the pages of my Kindle and had me hanging on every word.
There were so many unexpected twists and turns that I was glued to my Kindle until I devoured Degenerates in one sitting. My emotions bounced all over the place and I found myself laughing, shedding a few tears, cringing, and in need of a little payback. In short I was captivated and am eagerly looking forward the next addictively dark and deviant addition to this series. I’m not so sure the Badlands are quite ready for the next generation and I can’t wait!
Wow! What an explosive beginning to the next generation in the Badlands series –
Our little angels are all grown up and ready to take their rightful places – Okay, maybe not quite yet, but they are about to get one step closer
I laughed, I cried, I cringed and I was seriously Pissed!!
Bennett brought to Degenerates all the darkness we have come to expect from her.
I really appreciated the way we are slowly introduced to the next generation – the little slices of their pasts and their present that made up their psyche’s – and I am excited to see where some of the bread crumb trails will lead us in future releases – I have my eyes on a couple characters
As for our Prince and his Princess *sigh* Be still my beating heart
“His smirks weren’t portraying amusement; I was quickly starting to learn.”
“They were merely preludes of violent delights and slow, thorough mind-F*$# with ominous words.” – Adelaide
I may actually be leaning toward Zane and Adelaide as my favorite couple in this series – They were such perfect opposites and the chemistry between them was explosive- They popped off the pages their connection was so vibrant- They had an instant connection which worked for them and they had me enjoying the bloody journey right along with them
Degenerates has it all – Betrayal, Loss, Revenge –
There are a couple scenes I actually glanced away from my reader – somehow in my mind thinking I could avoid the pain from the train wreck taking place on the pages – My heart was shattered and left bloody and broken from a couple different scenes.
I am a bit upset with the small cliff hanger – I want retribution and I don’t want to wait – I want it now
For those who have never touched a book in this series STOP – you need to start at the beginning to get the full spine chilling experience
The story of the Badans continues in this book and it focuses on the next generation of Savages and Venoms.
We meet the Savage Princess and the Venom King. Facing a common enemy both group join forces on a never to be seen before road trip. I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough to see what would happen next.
I loved seeing Adelaide and Zane together. her spunk and sass. She is ruthless, but also has a heart of gold and would do anything for those she loves. Zane is one crazy, bloodlusted and protective Alpha.
It is true love in a dark, grim and depraved world
Degenerates…The Next Generation of the Badlands Series has kicked off with one hell of a bang! This is Adelaide “Addy” & Zane’s story…The Devils Daughter & The Venomous Prince …
These two were everything I wanted to read and nothing that I expected. Zane has always been intrigued/wanted Addy; so when a kidnapping occurs & their paths collide there isn’t any possible way for either of these two to deny the immediate pull towards one another. A series of events forcing their two factions to work together. This book was gritty, dark and full of so many twists and turns that your head will be spinning by the time you reach the end. (I may or may not have thrown my kindle a few times while reading)…If you like a dark read full of debauchery, secrets and betrayal than you definitely don’t want to wait on this book. I definitely recommend this read to any and everyone and I cannot wait to see where we go next in the Badlands

Fast-paced, fucked up, bloody brilliant.
I was sucked straight into Zane and Addie’s story and I LOVED it! It has all the darkness and brutality I’ve come to expect from the Badlands series and a combustible heat between two equally so characters.
The push and pull between Zane and Addie, Venom and Savage, was expertly woven and built up into something delightfully wicked. There are so many layers to the characters, and the world-building is so vivid it’s astounding.
Fantastic new instalment to the series and the perfect start to the next generation of Badlands characters.
This was a good introduction to the next generation of the Badlands series. It wasn’t as dark as alot of her others, but I have a feeling the next books will probably go darker. It was fast paced and every bit as crazy as you’d expect from this series!
***5 ‘Miss Us’ Stars***
Dark, deviant, bloody and all kinds of addicting!
Not that I’m all that surprised.
Ok. Not surprised at all. I loved the first generation Savages and couldn’t wait to get to know their offspring and they are just as deviant and morally altered as their parents and I loved getting to know them and a whole new sect of characters.
Addy and Zane were a lot of fun, of the bloody and crazy kind, but still fun and I loved watching as they became more than enemies. Zane is all kinds of Alpha AF. Dominate and yet loyal, he takes what he wants when he wants. Addy is the Savage princess and definitely lives up to that title. Soulless, though not heartless, deviant and loyal. She is the total package. Their journey is definitely antagonistic, but it only made the connection between them burn hotter and brighter and prove they are perfect for each other.
As with the previous books, I was sucked in from the start, though I’ll admit that things did start off on a bit of a slower pace, but it didn’t take long for things to pick up and the twists and turns are numerous and I cannot wait to see how everything works out. As for the secondary characters, I’m looking forward to getting to know them all a lot better. Maliki and Cam are high on the list, but Nyx is the one that intrigues me the most, so bring on Hellions!

Degenerates continues the saga of the Badlands with the new generation of crazies and also revisiting the old savages. Ms Bennett does dark like no other and Addy and Zane’s story was totally unique, but also conveyed the underlying theme of death, blood, gore and destruction that makes the Badlands what it is. The only downside to me was that it took a while (like a loooong while) for these two to meet and have the connection. Other than that, the writing style is brilliant, the storyline interest grabbing and I am totally looking forward to more of the second gen savages.
