One-Night Stand Rule #1: always check the condom’s expiry date.Oops.As a career-orientated woman, I have a plan, and being a mom is not part of it. My not-quite-a-fairy-tale childhood involved being brought up by thirty nannies (yes, thirty!), so what the heck do I know about being a mother anyway?Yes, the news about Granny dying is a surprise. But not as much as what happens after, when I have … a surprise. But not as much as what happens after, when I have hot sex with Mr. No Commitment himself, Josh Hoffer, as a way to deal with the grief.
Is it worth it? Definitely.
Or at least it seemed so at the time.

I have no room in my life for a family or steady girlfriend. My hockey career comes first. Life is tough when you’re on the road more times than you’re not.
Besides, what do I know about diapers and baby yoga and fairy-tale princesses?
When Holly Whittaker, with her sexy Aussie accent and mile long legs, wants to blow off a little steam after receiving bad news, hell if I’m saying no. She’s my friend, and friends help friends in need.
But sex is never without consequences. And now we need to figure out how to find room in our hearts for each another—plus one.
Decidedly with Baby is a standalone romance. All the books in the series can be read in any order.

This is the second book in the By the Bay Series, a Sports Romance. I love this Series! Holly and Josh’s story is fun, sexy, and romantic. They share an undenible chemistry. I loved to follow them in their journey. Tim Paige and Isabelle Ruther did a great job with the narration. Looking forward to listen to the next book in the Series, Decidedly With Love.
Story about a young lady who becomes pregnant, from Australia with a green card and wanting to make sure it’s love instead of just an attraction and baby involved before being married
I enjoyed the story. The characters were interesting. I thought the hero’s conflict between his career and his family lent an interesting layer to the story.
Cute easy fast read
Decidedly With Baby is a great nighttime read. Although, you might ask yourself…”Why don’t they just get married?”, the author takes you through the character’s thought processes, which is informative while satisfying.
Easy read that kept my attention.
A little surprise is on it’s way for two career oriented friends who spent some time comforting each other. Neither ever thought they would be parents and marriage was not on their agenda.
Josh and Holly have to work through many obstacles and their dedication to be the best parents are heartwarming.
Fabulous Story & Narration Captivating & Heartfelt!
Decidedly with Baby
By the Bay, Volume 2
By: Stina Lindenblatt
Narrated by: Tim Paige, Isabelle Ruther
Stina Lindenblatt pens another awesome novel in her “By the Bay” series. This is Holly Whittaker and Josh Hoffer’s story. I adored Holly when I first met her in the first book in the series and was glad to see she got her own book. She is an Australian working in the US with a work Visa, she is Trent’s coworker and friend, she and Kelsey got friendly too in the first book. Josh Hoffer is a pro-hockey player, he like Holly is focused on their careers but the became good friends. When she needs a shoulder to cry on he is there for her, he also agrees to accompany her home for a funeral and to deal with her family. There was a night of passion between them, an agreement for a temporary fling, pretend relationship to keep her mother at bay and then an unplanned pregnancy. I just loved how everything played out in this book, the story is well written and has a natural flow to it. There is plenty of drama, a touch of angst, some humor, heartfelt and emotional moments and some hot romance. It was great to see the characters grow as they accepted and adapted their lives to accommodate their new circumstances, loved how it made them closer. Stina Lindenblatt, thank you for another fabulous story.
I listened to the Audiobook edition, narrated by the talented Tim Paige and Isabelle Ruther. They continue to bring these characters to life, giving each their own unique voice and personality. You could hear how much heart they put into their work as they capture the characters emotions and project them into their work. Isabelle Ruther’s Holly was awesome, accent and all. Tim Paige perfected Josh’s role as well. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another awesome listen.
Josh and Holly are great – Audiobook Review
This is a sweet, sexy, accidental pregnancy love story. Holly and Josh hooked up for a short time and were friends and never planned anything long term when Tge pregnancy happened. I enjoyed t H at the characters from the first book were also in this book. Josh is very sweet and I really like his character. I loved this book and enjoyed it more than the first book and look forward to the next one in the series. The Narrators were both fantastic. Isabelle is a great narrator and her male voice is fantastic. Tim Paige is always great too. I would definitely recommend this book.
I listened to the audiobook. Decidedly with Baby is sweet, sexy and laugh out loud funny. Our heroine is a smart, savvy workaholic Aussie, our hero a lovable commitment challenged American hockey jock. Stina Lindenblatt’s writing was fantastic! The characters so real, so believable. I became so totally immersed that I had trouble putting the headphones down. I don’t want to put out spoilers, so just trust me, run, don’t walk, get this book and give it a listen! As with book one in this series, the narration was perfection. Isabelle Ruther is one of the best female narrator’s and she is fast becoming a favorite of mine. Her accents are impeccable and the ease she switches back and forth between female, male, Aussie and american voices is both effortless and completely engaging. Tim Paige, well what can I say, soooo good! I am hoping that there is a book three in the offing and really hoping we get Drew’s story, hint…hint.
Decidedly with Baby
By the Bay, Volume 2
By: Stina Lindenblatt
Narrated by: Tim Paige, Isabelle Ruther
Stina Lindenblatt does it again! She made me fall in love. This story is an easy listen, not too angsty and full of romance. It’s a sports romance and unexpected pregnancy all rolled into one! Holly and Josh are best of friends. Always easy to be around each other with similar interests, they find themselves drunk one night and in bed. The same night Holly told her family she was engaged and bringing her fiance to Australia with her! Now traveling, the two find themselves continuing to act on their attraction only to find themselves pregnant. What will happen now? Will they co-parent? Neither were looking for a relationship, let alone have kids! Will they act on their feelings? They didn’t want something serious. What will happen when the baby comes? Will they live together? So many questions, so many concerns and so many confused feelings leads us into laughter, love and fun. And there is nothing better than a big hockey player holding a newborn. Melt my heart! It’s got quirky characters, hilarious situations, and steamy passion. I loved their journey and can’t wait to see what is next for the By the Bay series!
I love listening to great narrations, and this book has it in spades. Tim Paige and Isabelle Ruther bring this story alive. Great comedic timing, wonderful voices and all the emotional tugs made my ears so happy! Together, with aussie accents, manly athletes and those pregnancy hormones, these storytellers bring it all to life.

Josh and Holly both put their careers first and have no time for a relationship but when they decide to throw caution to the wind one night their relationship changes. Holly lies to her family about Josh being her fiancé, he agrees to go to Australia with her for her granny’s funeral and they figure while they are out of the US they can have fun until they return home. Only they did not expect the surprise that popped up two months later. Decidedly with Baby is a surprise baby hockey romance in the By the Bay series which is told in the dual first-person point of view.
Josh and Holly’s relationship starts from a friends to lovers and quickly changes when she finds out she is pregnant. I thought this was a fun and lighthearted story and did hit on a lot of areas that most first time parents face. I did find myself laughing out loud a few times through the story but had a permanent smile on my face the whole time I listened to the audiobook. Tim Paige has become one of my favourite male narrators and Isabelle had me convinced that she could be from Australia. I look forward to diving into the rest of the By the Bay series.

Gosh, I forgot how fun Lindenblatt’s writing is. The By the Bay series is full of interesting, quirky characters that have some serious hang-ups. The way they handle them gets them in some hilarious trouble. In Decidedly with Baby, Josh and Holly have to decide whether their total commitments to their careers truly override their desires for a family. They’d tell you careers trump love and family every single time. After all, don’t both of their lives show that people just don’t follow through on the commitments they make? So, why give it all up? While their stories of how they came to the same conclusion are very different, their beliefs are firm. That’s why they make such great friends…until that one night. Well, they’re still great friends, they just now have someone else to consider. This is another fun one if you’re looking for an entertaining, sometimes funny, and completely adorable story.
Didn’t realize I enjoy sports background romances. Nice discovery. It was a gentle read that made me happy. Thanks
I really enjoyed this book. I liked the characters and the storyline. Would have liked a stronger ending though.
Loved this book. Not your typical unexpected pregnancy. Characters were so lovable. Well written, heartwarming and yet heartbreaking. Highly recommend!
I enjoyed this book, I enjoyed the passion Josh had for hockey when a hockey player falls he falls hard and that’s what happened here. Lots of steamy heat between these two as they figure out what is important.

Couple: Two workaholics, Hockey Player + Businesswoman

I was so glad Holly was going to get her own book, if for no other reason than, because that meant we got to listen to her accent for the entire book, and not just in parts. Try as we might, we couldn’t dislike Holly when we met her. She’s the entire package: beautiful, smart, knows about cars, and dang it, she’s really nice.
Holly was a workaholic, and she loved her job. After being brought up by nannies, she abandoned the idea of being a mom, herself. Like she’d even know what to do, so she stuck to what she knew. Work, work, work. Josh was no different, but his job was on the ice, and it could also move him around at any moment. Being on the road more than he’s home has made him decide relationships aren’t for him. Life had other plans for these, two, though…
While this story was a bit predictable, it didn’t stop me from enjoying it. It was sweet, funny at times, and I enjoyed Holly and Josh, and watching how their relationship progressed.
I was glad to see that this book had the same narrators as the first one. They were perfect for these roles, and I enjoy listening to their voices as they became each character in the book
I loved this book could not stop listening the narration was amazing. This was the first book I have read but this author and I will definitely be reading more from her in the future. Holly and Josh’s story was amazing and I chuckled a lot while listening to their story.
Ok read, enough story and easy flow
