This is a coming of age story vampire style for Alexis Ferguson who thinks she has everything figured out like a lot of teenagers. She thinks she is adopted because there are no baby pictures of her and doesn’t really believe the story her mother told her about the pictures being lost in a flood. Alexis is having very strange things happening to her and doesn’t know who to talk to. Alexis is set up on a blind date, she meets a gorgeous stranger and feels that she’s known him her entire life, but she has never seen him before.
He awakens in her long-forgotten dark memories, and now she must face the one who ordered her death years ago.
This was the first book I ever read by Stacy Claflin and I absolutely loved it. I think that everyone that loves to read and lose themselves in something truly should try this book. Usually I can find something that I didn’t like about a book I can’t say anything negative about this one I absolutely loved it and all of the characters and the romance between the main characters. I received this book free after signing up for Stacy Claflin’s newsletter and it was the best decision I’ve ever made. The characters are so interesting and this is a totally different take on the supernatural world and I absolutely loved it. It continually had me guessing on what was going to happen next. I can’t wait to start on the next book in the series.
Deception – Good author. Very good, well-written, interesting, although the last two chapters were a little weak or hurried. 5*
I loved this book it had some typing errors but it grabbed my attention right away and kept me entertained until I finished it and left me wanting to dive right into the next book.

I recommend this book to all of the people out there like me who are in need of something to do and to start a new series of books. I loved it so much, it took me 2 sittings to finish it. YOU HAVE TO TRY IT!
Characters aren’t well developed and at times it’s hard to follow what’s going on and who is involved. I’m guessing author was aiming for “mysterious” but it fell flat on too many occasions to rate higher.
Don’t remember.
I really wanted to like this book…..
I may change my mind by the end of the book as I’m only halfway through, but while the plot line and characters have a lot of promise it’s hard to get into a book when you don’t particularly like the protagonist… instead of feeling sorry for her I get irritated with her because she really doesn’t seem to care how her actions and choices impact those she cares about, she’s too wrapped up in herself.
I love this series I was fled I had the first two books of this series. I can’t wait to get more books in this series.
So so annoying. High school girl thinks she is adopted, things start happening to her, she becomes popular and beautiful and finds out she is a royal vampire princess! OMG, this was so poorly written and just BAD!!!
Lacking.
I think that this book was great. I couldn’t put it down it was a real page turner. I can’t wait for the next one.
Too steamy for me. But otherwise a very good book. I won’t be reading any more of her books because of it being steamy. I wish I could because she is the type of writers I like.
Had enough original ideas on the vampire angle to keep me reading. The pace picked up at the end of the book but I’m not sold that it was in a good way as it seemed a little anticlimactic and the newer characters less developed.
