From #1 New York Times Bestselling Author Rachel Van Dyken comes the new book in the Elite Bratva Brotherhood series…With blood on my hands, I held her. With death in my soul, I took from her. With the devil in my heart, I coveted her. There are many definitions of Hell.My list was exhaustive, my definitions tragic.Tonight I was adding something new to the very top.Girl number six thirty-two.She … top.
Girl number six thirty-two.
She arrived on my birthday, the same day, every year, I play Russian Roulette and pull the trigger.
She was my omen.
My end game.
She made it personal.
And for the first time in my life, I gave in.
A virgin mob boss with no soul.
My name is Andrei Petrov.
They call me the devil.
All I want is for the pain to end.
All she wants is for me to share it.
I am the last remaining heir to a dynasty that should burn in Hell.
And my last wish remains for it to die with me.

Debase proves yet again that Rachel Van Dyken is mafia royalty! I loved, loved, loved this book! It’s a story of family, strength, power, blood, pain, terror, love, joy, and sacrifice.
Andrei…my heart hurt for him through a large part of this book. I loved him because I didn’t see the devil he made himself to be. I saw the strength and vulnerability underneath. I needed him to overcome everything and beat the odds. His reaction and his love for Alice made me smile so big!
Alice…I loved her so much because she was a powerhouse that took everything and everyone on. Nothing could break her but one thing, and I am thanking Rachel that that one thing didn’t happen! Let me tell you, my heart was beating so fast, I was hoping so hard!
Loved this book so much that I can’t wait for the next one!
For those of us that love the EE Series, the new Bratva spin-off does not disappoint.
This book gave me so many feels. I’ve been waiting (not so patiently) for Andrei’s story since he first made a cameo in the EE Series. Andrei is as damaged and tortured as they come. He’s on a continuous downward spiral that he just can’t seem to get out of. He needs someone to see him, to tether him, to ground him in reality and not the memories of his childhood.
Enter Alice. Alice is most definitely one of my favorite female characters that Rachel has ever written. The soul deep strength that she has after the atrocities of her life gave me all the feels. I cried for her and I cheered her on as she found herself and her strength.
I’m always a sucker for the damaged souls who find love together. These two utterly gutted me with the emotional roller-coaster of their journey to one another. Sometimes it takes a monster to give you your HEA.
Long time EE fans won’t be disappointed and this book is a great place for new readers to jump in!
If you’ve never before read the EE series – never fear! Rachel does an amazing intro to catch up everyone so that there’s no confusion. I will say as with most long running series that I read, that I always enjoy the little glimpses into the previous characters lives. It’s a nostalgic trip down memory lane- mostly with Chase cooking while tomfoolery and shenanigans abound from the rest of the crew.

4.5 stars
Once I started this, I couldn’t put it down. At first I was afraid I’d be confused, having never read the Eagle Elite series, but it was pretty easy to follow, lots of names but the interactions weren’t over the top.
Alice De Lange is one of the few De Langes left alive. Their time and blood line is running out. She is taken captor and she actually prefers her current hell from the one she was living. She is in the lair of the monsters she was taught to fear.
Andrei grew up to become unfeeling. He is the last heir to the Russian Mafia and his father turned him into a heartless killer. But upon Alice being brought in, he finds himself enamored. She intrigues him, makes him want to tap into a part of himself buried way down deep.
But keeping Alice is not without it’s consequences, after all, he promised he’d kill her when the time came and she asked.
I absolutely loved this story, and the struggle between these two. Definitely one click to know what I’m talking about. You won’t be disappointed.
After seeing a few teasers for this book, I was so excited to read this !And what a book! Wow! Debase was the BEST. I was instantly hooked and dragged into this mafia romance within 5 seconds of starting. I’ve read books by this author before and LOVED them. But someone how I missed the Eagle Elites series. Debase was the complete opposite of her NA books I’ve read and by far my favorite read from her to date! Debase delves into the dark and grimy world of the mafia. Violence, blood(lots of that), drama, monsters. It’s all there. Everything you love with a good mafia read, creating an intriguing plot. The characters have become some of my favorites. Every single one of them made this story special. Some of them made me angry, A LOT of them made me laugh but I can happily say all of them made me feel. This book is the book that got me excited while reading. Literally had me antsy with anticipation on what would happen next. I rate Debase 5 stars for the perfection that it is. I cannot wait to read the previous books in this series and see what this author does with the new spinoff series that follows. Read this one people! Comes highly recommended by me!
*Note that DEBASE is a standalone and the first in a new series but does take place in the Eagle Elite world. You do not need to have read any other Eagle Elite book prior to understand and enjoy this story. Although, I would encourage you to read the entire Eagle Elite series because I know you’ll love it as much as I do. Now, on to the review.
The beauty of this story is that it is a journey of epic proportions – think of it as a gentle roller coaster starting out and then ramping up, coming back down, throwing in a few loops and making you hold your breath.
I laughed, I cried, and at one point I think my eyes were going to bug out of my head. Rachel Van Dyken shares Andrei and Alice’s love story in only the way that she can – flawlessly.
If you’ve read the Eagle Elite Series you will see all of your favorite characters and their unique blend of humor and love of family. That includes infamous family dinners, wine, and weapons.
DEBASE is another fantastic mafia romance from the mind of Rachel Van Dyken and a must read.
5 Andrei isn’t such a bad guy stars.
Deceit, death, sacrifice, the kind of love you are willing to die for and FAMILY! Everything you have come expect when Eagle Elite is involved, this story delivers!
Even though this is a cross-over series, you will be getting a continuation of the story, just with a new family.
Andrei Petrov, a self-described monster, has his own agenda. He’s also emotionally detached, unfeeling and harboring so much pain. He’s allied with the established families, but he’s working on destroying his own ghosts.
Then there is a complication he didn’t expect, Alice. She was brought to him and she should have come in fear, yet she was relieved. Sometimes the devil you don’t know is better than the devil you do.
Both come from connected family’s with secrets. Secrets that will change everything.
Sexual tension that is so sexy, a complicated anti-hero who feels unworthy of love, a family that you can’t ever leave but will stand by you as long as you are loyal and a woman willing to make the ultimate sacrifice for love…the perfect mafia romance! And all those group texts amongst the men…priceless!
I forgot how much I love and enjoy this series! I am so happy that there will be more. All the characters from the past still play prominent roles and we get to see them grow and change. If you love mafia romance, amazingly strong and independent women or just super sexy, over-protective alpha males…then start reading!
5+ Stars!
Debase is an intense and absolutely spellbinding read. It was a little like those nightmares where you can’t run: I wanted to stop reading at times because the suspense and fear would grip me tight…but I couldn’t stop!
Alice is unlike any other character I’ve read previously. When others would be afraid and crying, she was smiling. She was an extremely well developed character, and I found myself getting attached to her. I couldn’t really relate to her or her life, but I wanted so badly for her to be alright.
Andrei was exactly what you would expect from a mob boss: ruthless, deadly, and violent. His life and his world are filled with so many secrets, some of which he doesn’t even know. Despite the terrible things he did, I trusted him to do right by Alice.
I am an avid fan of Rachel Van Dyken, and as always her writing was outstanding. This is book one in a new series called the Elite Bratva Brotherhood. If you like darker books or books about the mafia, you will not want to miss this one!
OMG I’m actually speechless! I knew this book was going to be good but my god what I didn’t anticipate is how phenomenal it truly was, it’s left me completely boneless.
They say childhood shapes your future, it learns you what’s honourable and true, when hate is the only thing you have ever known it’s what you become.
I was pulled in so many directions with this story I laughed, cried and forgot how to breath it was beautifully brutal and I loved every single minute of it, I didn’t want it to end and now I’m sad it has, I may need to go back and re-read it.
RVD you amaze me
Blood in No out
This book deserves so much more than 5 amazing stars!!!
How do i review a book like this???
How can i possibly form words to do justice to how this amazing work of art makes you feel or think ??…i simply cant find strong enough words to discribe it!!
Ive been on the ee journey from right back in 2014 and chase stole my heart in elite, and never gave it back that is until andrei , oh how he came crashing though and took it in such a huge way!!
Andrei is a killer, a lethal monster with no feeling and no fear and nothing to live for other than bringing down the family business. He doesnt believe he is worthy of anything with the amount of blood on his hands that will taint and ruin anything he touch’s and nightmares he dreams.
“Because the worst thing the monster could do was believe he could be anything other than what he was born to be”
Can alice de lange be his reason to live or will she be his ultimate betrayal ?
This book is everything and more!! i was so not ready to say goodbye to the family’s and was so pleased to learn that its not goodbye its lets take it to the next level and oh boy does rachel step it up i CANNOT wait to see how this amazing series progresses!!
Rachel Van Dyken this book along with the rest is why you will always my….
ULTIMATE UNICORN

Another mafia book by RVD? Yes, please. I love me a good enemies to lovers book and Rachel doesn’t disappoint with Debase!
Rachel Van Dyken has sent me in a stage of shock in Debase. The best kind of shock. Debase was raw, dark, honest, difficult, sensational and overwhelming. It consumed my heart and soul. Debase was one of the deepest, darkest and angstiest book I have read this year.
I would suggest you go in blind because the shock factor is really important. In brief this is a story about Italian and Russian underworld. It is about a man and a girl caught in the middle. The story is full of traps which you will never see coming and fall repeatedly. The pieces of puzzle will come together eventually. But I kept guessing and praying and my jaw kept hitting the floor. Rachel Van Dyken has created an intricate web of lies, conspiracy and betrayal which captured me and didn’t let me go till the last page.
Andrei Petrov. An unforgettable character. A study in contradictory character traits. The ruthless, merciless, cold, emotionless and indifferent mask in exterior hides the vulnerabilities, pain and desperation. And Alice De Lange is going to break down his walls. She is strong and resilient even after the unspeakable horrors she suffered. It was an erotic and deadly dance of feelings. The connection starts with hate and morphs into the strongest love through blood, sweat, lust, companionship and sharing. Their darkness brought them to light. And what an astounding, spectacular and breathtaking journey it was.
Rachel Van Dyken can deliver jaw dropping epic lines like a boss and Debase was no exception. Her words punched me in the gut, sucked out my soul and filled it to the brim. She made me curse and cry and smile. It was just too much for my heart. The thrill from the adrenaline rush and the swoony sensations from the epic romance left me speechless. Yes it was a hard read as she didn’t try to hide any violent gory details. But it was so worth it.
Sometimes true love is found in most unlikely people. Rachel Van Dyken’s Debase has claimed all my senses. It was extraordinary and awe inspiring. The story was brutally honest to the characters. A must read book of 2019.

6 Hearts
Debase is the eleventh book in the Eagle Elite series. It is also the first in an all new series, Elite Bratva Brotherhood. So, here’s the deal, you do not have to read the previous books to become addicted to these families. I actually didn’t even start the series until the eighth book, Enrage. On Day I will start from the beginning. Word of advice: Read the Author’s Note! Ok. Back to Debase. I don’t want to spoil anything. I really don’t want a hit out on me for that one so I will make it fast.
Number six thirty-two. He never gave them names. Only numbers. And when he saw number six thirty-two he knew she was different and that was why he loathed her. She intrigued him. No other woman has. He wanted to study her. He couldn’t do that if she was locked in a cage. He needed to study her up close. He knew she wouldn’t run. He was Russian. He was a killer. He had no soul. He would kill her without a second thought.
Number six thirty two. That was her new name. She didn’t know why she was in his presence. He didn’t even want to look at her but he wanted her in his prison. Not the one out there but in here. His place. Was he playing a game with her before he would throw her away for dead? She didn’t understand many things especially why she thought this man was beautiful.
Ok. That’s it. I will say that OMFG…it was amazing!!! I didn’t want to put it down but I always didn’t want it to end. I wanted to savor every intense moment. I felt like I was right there in the middle of the families. Maybe a nanny or bartender in the background. I don’t know. What I do know is that Rachel has a way of making me love these badass fucking men. Ones who enjoy torturing their enemies then going to Sunday dinner. Ones who tease during group texts! They are so normal but also so fucking not. I love them and their wives and children. I can’t wait to see what is up next in this new series.
Overall…READ IT!!! It’s one of the best books I have read this year. Maybe even ever! I am still reeling. I want more. Now. But I do know it will be sooooo worth the wait. No rush for perfection.
P.S. I had so many notes for this one and didn’t use any of them. Eeeek! So good. I never re-read books. Ever but I want to read this one again!
Quotes:
“Family dinner, this Saturday. Bring someone so Chase stops asking if you’re a virgin.”
At that I did laugh. “Chase can suck my dick.”
“Saying things like that doesn’t really help, Drei.”
“Don’t make eye contact with anyone. They’ll think it’s an invitation, and I’ve already hit my quota on murders today.”
“Please tell me you don’t name all your torturous animals.”
He just shrugged and said, “The jellyfish’s name is Bob.”
I mean where do I start? My heart broke so many times for Andrei. He went through so much at a young age and it truly damaged him. Rachel Van Dyken does an amazing job writing mafia series. I think I fall in love with each mob boss a little more then the last.
An all new book in RVD’s Eagle Elite series! This is a Russian mafia, enemies-to-lovers dark romance you don’t want to miss.
A dark romance … enemies to lovers… MAFIA!
OMG it’s like Rachel knew exactly what I needed to go with my wine tonight!!
GET IT!! DEVOUR IT!
If you’ve followed me for any length of time, you know I’m a HUGE fan of Rachel Van Dyken and of her words. She’s just got loads of talent in the storytelling arena. And my absolute favorite series of hers is the Eagle Elite mafia romance series. I shouldn’t love mafia romance like I do…but I can’t help it when it’s Rachel Van Dyken’s words and characters, man!
Debase is the last Eagle Elite book and book one of the Russian mafia spin-off series, the Elite Bratva Brotherhood. If you’re an EE fan, you’ve known Andrei for some time. He’s slowly been working his way out of the chaos his father unleashed. But despite knowing what we thought his story was, his true story will blow you away. And if you’ve not read ANY of the Eagle Elite books (WHY NOT???!!!), this is a great place to start. Featuring all our beloved characters from EE, yet keeping it information overload free, Debase will quite simply rock your mafia romance-loving heart and soul.
In true Rachel mafia style writing, there are twists and turns you will NOT see coming that lead to those “a-ha!” moments, all while making you wonder how DOES she come up with this?!
While Andrei is a very dark character, there are plenty of absolutely laugh out loud moments interspersed throughout Debase, as well. Those of us that love the group texts in previous books get plenty of hilarious one-liners in several group chats in this book.
While I wanted to hate Andrei after Enrage, this book totally endeared me to him, and I can NOT wait to see where Rachel Van Dyken takes this next series!
NICUnurse’s Rating: Debase is the long-anticipated last Eagle Elite book and first Elite Bratva Brotherhood book. And while it’s not my absolute favorite of the series (I’m still a HUGE fan or Elude and Eulogy), it is definitely an amazing story. I give Debase by Rachel Van Dyken 4.75 stars! Pick up your copy today and see what all the mafia fuss is about! I don’t think you will be disappointed!
I started reading Rachel Van Dyken’s Eagle Elite series in 2013 and immediately fell in love with her mafia/romance series! I was hooked from the first page and each book has gotten better and better!! She has given us these dark, lethal, mysterious, and beautiful made men, but they love and protect what is there’s just as fiercely as they fight.
Debase was a phenomenal book with all the ugly sides of the Mafia on full display but in equal measures we get to see how love transformers even the darkest of souls! I truly loved the dynamics between Andrei and Alice. She was only supposed to be a number, 632, but Andrei never stood a chance with Alice even with all her demons and dark past she was still full of life and light. She was the light to his darkness. The journey they take, the obstacles they face and the enemies they fight are many and this book will pull every emotion from your very soul!! But it will be well worth the book hangover when you reach the end!!
Rachel Van Dyken has done a phenomenal job with this book!! I cannot give her enough praise for this series and all of her other books! She is an exceptional writer, who puts her heart and soul in every book she writes and always leaves me smiling at the end!
Dark. Gritty. Dirty. Heartbreaking. Twisted. Broken. Debased.
Sacrafice. Loyalty. Family. Purity. Honor. Heartwarming. Loved.
All of these words apply to this book that will absolutely consume you.
Rachel Van Dyken takes us from the world of the Italian Mafia to the dark and seedy underbelly of the Russian Mafia. Secrets are around every corner in this dark and compelling story. You will be on the edge of your seat, your heart will pound, your breath will be stolen, your emotions will be all over and in the end you will want to immerse yourself in this world all over again.
This is without a doubt a must read book!
Please excuse me while I fan myself with utter Mafia amazement!!!
HOLY SHIT!! Did I just read that?
Heck yes, I did!
Debase killed it!!! No, this baby rocked my ass to the round and still came back for more! Hell, I needed this Mafia power punch as I needed me next breathe!
Sheer, dynamic and downright amazing writing to the core!!!
I absolutely love anything from Rachel Van Dyken, but I must admit I had not read any of her Elite/Mafia books as of yet and let me tell you, I was missing out! Debase, the first book in her new Elite Bratva Brotherhood series and a spinoff from her Eagle Elite series, absolutely consumed and surprised me. Until now I had only read RVD’s contemporary romances, but this only confirmed to me the versatile author Rachel is.
Andrei Petrov and Alice De Lange did not choose the life they were given, but it was the one they had. Andrei is a ruthless and cold man and he knows this. Because of this, he wars with himself on what he wants and what he deserves. He actually broke my heart at times. Alice was a strong woman with a very hard past. He should not want her, and she should despise him.
Debase by Rachel Van Dyken is a dark romance that was full of suspense and twist and turns everywhere. I absolutely devoured it and look forward to not only reading what comes next but going back and reading the original series as well. This is not a requirement to read this book however, as this is book 1 of a spin off series.
