Ending took me by surprise.
This book Deathly Reminders I cannot recommend. There is just too much meaningless material that is of no interest to the reader and has no bearing on the story. Little things you do not care about that you are told characters are doing or saying. The author just cannot tell the story without filler that does not add to the story and is annoying to the reader. I am 67% through this book that has a good plot and makes you want to find out how it ends but you have to endure the endless wandering from here to there.
As good as any murder mystery I read… on par with a Baldacci or Coben… good read…
Deathly reminders was filled with twist after twist! You think you would have figured it out, but you get it all wrong!
I would recommend this book to anyone who loves to play detective.
I liked this book pretty well, but not the PROFANITY. Also, the ending was way too abrupt – very dissatisfying.
Great suspenseful reading.
This book had me guessing until the very end! I thought I had it figured out, but I was proven wrong more than once. The suspense along with a highly likeable protagonist made this a great read.
A clever plot. I was guessing until the end who the culprit is.
Twisted and Unexpected Tale
I really didn’t know ‘who done it’ until the last of the book. I like that. It kept me reading and I liked the main character. It spurred me on to read something else from this author. I’m currently reading another in this series and it’s not as good. A little too unbelievable but still like the writing style.
First book of T. Patrick Phelps I’ve read. Great read and looking forward to another one of his. Great author.
The only issues I had were obvious editing errors. $185 Million referred to several times as nearly $2 Million instead of $200 Million, typo errors etc.
Always unexpected. Kept me glued to my seat until I finished it.
Good book, but the editing was bad.
Very good book.
If it was possible, I’d give this ten (yes ten) stars!
Excellent read!
One of the best I’ve read in a while. Couldn’t put it down.
Great cast of characters, and definitely had a lot of twists and turns to keep the reader guessing; for those reasons alone it’s worth reading. I found the ending (roughly the last 8% of the book) to drag on interminably, and that was frustrating. An additional criticism is the lack of good editing. The wrong character names popped up in sentences occasionally, enough to derail the plot’s quick pace. Grammar was not held to a consistent standard. Still, I’d be interested in reading more from this author.
By the end of this book I was sick and tired of the convoluted mess and factual errors. Maggie was served a drink??? There is no Maggie in the book. Nikkie has a drink, but wait…she is already dead. How long was the marriage? Four years or seven? Don’t waste your time.
