Good story with interesting characters
It’s a Longmire tail after all.
Craig Johnson and Longmire do not disappoint. Each Longmire book is unique and unpredictable – they have the comfort of re-introducing you to a long lost friend but you always know the story will be completely new.
I love Craig Johnson, especially the Longmire series. They have a dry sense of humor along with a great story. Can’t get enough of these.
The descriptions of the mountains and people are very evocative.
Wonderful writing with great charactors. This is a great series.
Love this series.
For me, this book for hard to get into so I just stopped trying to read it. When I read a book, it needs to grab me from the start and carry my interest all the way through otherwise, I don’t waste my time.
I am from Montana so I like that book is set in the west. I hope to read all the series. I love the sheriff and always get nervous when he gets hurt
I have all this man’s books.
Great writer and a great series for mystery fans
I enjoy books by this author.
I read this on the basis of being a big fan of Robert B. Parker’s writings. While there are some similarities, to my mind Parker’s prose was more crisp and unadorned(?) than Johnson’s. Not intended as a criticism but a difference in style. This was the first book of his that I read so I will go back and read the first in the series.
I enjoyed the TV series and this was the first Longmire book that I have read. Great story and more dry western humor than I expected. Highly recommend.
Craig Johnson’s Longmire series is the absolute best. Characters are phenomenal. Makes you want to move to the western states. Can never get enough of these stories.
I first watched this series on TV. The books are so much better. I plan on reading all the books in the series.
Brilliant! What a read.
Started watching Longmire series on Netflix. Liked the story and characters, happy to say the writing and the tv are both the same. Can’t wait to read more.
Can’t believe how dumb this guy is! He just keeps getting himself in deeper and deeper.
I have one recommendation: Read this series! You won’t regret entering the world of Walt Longmire as he solves crimes out West (and one in the East too!)
