Love Longmire books!!
First book remains the best and had me hooked on the writer, the characters and even the TV series even though I was disappointed that the characters in the books and the series went in different directions. They still told their own stories. Read any and all of Johnson’s books. You will not be disappointed.
Walt Longmire rides again!
Death Without Company is #2 in the Walt Longmire series by Craig Johnson.
I read a few of these western mysteries some years ago, and I enjoyed the television series. I had forgotten the humor–tongue-in-cheek or not, that brings each book to comfort read level for me. I plan on listening to each book, as the narrator brings the characters and the story to life.
As a die hard fan of the tv show, I’m really enjoying the books. The storylines are a little different but just as enjoyable as ever. I’m actually finding the books are better now that I know the main characters. I like that the books don’t have Branch Connelly because I never liked his tv character.
I also like that the chemistry between Walt and Vic is so much more obvious and evident from the get go, which wasn’t the case in the tv show until the last two seasons. The books seem funnier than the tv show too. The tv show always had a serious tone whereas the books make me laugh a lot!!!
Looking forward to the next one.
One of my favorita authors
Love Love Love this author and his wonderful characters. I’m half in love with Henry and want to have he & Walt as my best friends. The author makes Walt and his life are so real you feel like you know them.

Longmire books rock!
I did not expect to like this one but I sure did. Great read.
I love the sheriff Longmire books.
Walt Longmire is a complicated character. Each of Johnson’s books gove the reader a little more.
Longmire always gets my vote: Great series. Characters you care about.
I enjoy reading about Sheriff Walt Longmire.
Great book , Great Writer
Not as entertaining as other Longmire novels, but, still, I enjoyed it enough to recommend it.
Typical Longmire, a great story unfolds and keeps unfolding. The characters have depth and the dialogue can’t help but produce a chuckle.
I have read several of the Longmier books and have liked each of them. I know I will re-read all of them. They are great, fast paced, and leave you wanting them not to end. I won’t add any “but”, just say read, enjoy, be entertained. Time well spent!
Love all the book and the Netflix series.
