Tea and crumpets and murder…Location scout and Jane Austen aficionado, Kate Sharp, is thrilled when the company she works for lands the job of finding locations for a new film adaptation of Pride and Prejudice, but then her boss, Kevin, fails to return from a scouting trip to England. Afraid that Kevin has slipped back into some destructive personal habits he struggles with, Kate travels to … struggles with, Kate travels to England to salvage Kevin’s and the company’s reputation before word gets out that he is missing.
Things go from bad to worse when Kate arrives in Nether Woodsmoor, a quaint village of golden stone cottages and rolling green hills, only to find no trace of Kevin except his abandoned luggage. Even the rumpled, easygoing local scout they consulted, Alex, doesn’t know where Kevin might be.
Increasingly worried about Kevin and with an antsy director waiting for updates about the preproduction details, Kate embarks on a search that includes a pub crawl and cozy cottages as well as stately country manors. But Kevin remains missing, and she begins to suspect that the picturesque village and beautiful countryside may not be as idyllic as they seem.

I already wrote a review when I finished it
I couldn’t put it done. Can’t wait to read next book in series.
A satisfying read. I’ll be reading more by Sara Rosett, who writes a quality story.
Good. Kept me interested.
Well written. Enjoyed reading.
The characters were interesting and believable. The scenerio/ setting(s) were new and different. The ending wrapped up satisfactorily.
I read this ype of book to relaz and enjoy. This one ws a winner.
An easy read and you soon figure out ‘who did it”, it was quite finishable
Liked the description of the countryside…made it become real. Story was good….at times confusing but works it’s way out.
I enjoyed the mystery and good characters. I enjoyed the way the decent was described.
I loved this book. Full of English customs and the customary whodunit. Very good!
I felt like I was spending a week in Britain; loved the descriptions of the countryside.
Great read. Love the description of the English countryside. I will be reading more in this series.
Takes the reader behind the scenes of movies. Scouting locations in bucolic settings isn’t easy-peasy. Enjoyable characters; strong women, empathetic men. Not your typical romantic novel! A good read.
I have read this story before and down loaded it on my Kindle without realizing it. But since it was so good, I reread it again. I enjoyed it as much as I did the first time.
This, my first read of a book by Sara Rosett, was an enjoyable experience. There is quite a cast of well developed characters. She leaves you wondering who killed Kevin until nearly the end, when you begin to see who the murderer is. The book ends on a hopeful note and was a pleasure to read.
Great on English home history. A bit too much romance novel.
I initially got the first 3 books as a free bundle, and ended up buying all the rest of the series. Murder and mystery in the English countryside, with the unique twist of the main character being a movie location scout. The evolution of the continuing characters’ lives moves along at a nice clip. A very enjoyable series!
I finished it, therefore it was worth READING !!!
