In paradise nothing is simple… sank. They knew she knew.
Before they could get to the news, her mind raced. Growing up in Hawaii, daughter to a father-in-law enforcement and a mother whose family is yakuza, she’d known the darker side of life.
As the detectives explained why they’d come, Jessica was only partly listening until they said it was her father who’d died…
…in a plane wreck.
And in that moment, the instinct to grieve was gone. He was meticulous in his maintenance. She didn’t believe it was an accident.
Who murdered her father?
Jessica was going home to Hawaii.
You’ll love this gripping thriller with a taste of romance, because of the twists, turns, and complex characters.

Good read that I enjoyed. I finished it some time ago so not fresh in my mind.
Interesting locale and story, but cartoon depth characters kind of spoils it. Maybe his later books are better developed.
Very much enjoyed the book
Very entertaining view of Hawaii with good characters a little unbelievable but can get swept up in the story.
Ending – Dud
Can’t wait to read the next book in the series!!!!
Really enjoyed it.
I love books on Hawaii
Enjoyed the flavor of the Big Island and the Hawaiian culture in this book. Lots of action and twists.
I lived in Hawaii at one time so it brought back wonderful memories. I want to read all the other books in the series!
CAN’T WAIT FOR THE NEXT ONE IN THE SERIES
I liked this. It’s a very short book but entertaining. It has a lot of Hawaii lore which I liked
It was too predictable for I me. The characters were not believable. I don’t think most rich people go around stating their net worth.
I did not enjoy it.
I love Hawaii and this book besides being a great read, made me feel I was
there again.
Reminded me of of old friends raised in Hawaii .
I know this was supposed to be a detective story, but there was little detecting done. The detective didn’t even act like a detective. Even the vendetta was a little strange, it was a good read, just disappointing for the genre.
