Since she was four, Elle’s life has been nothing but pain and death, so it’s not surprising she ended up jaded.
When Elle’s absentee father kidnaps her from her own mother’s funeral, Elle is forcefully enrolled into Fallen Academy, a school for nephilim like herself.
Mind readers, seers, and elementals? Finally, Elle is with other freaks like herself.
Except, Elle soon finds that even … herself.
Except, Elle soon finds that even surrounded by her own kind, she might just be too different to fit in.
Will Elle find her place among the other children of the fallen? Or does her father have plans of his own?

Death in Her Eyes follows a girl as she is taken away from her life and brought to an academy run by fallen angels. The story sucks you in, and the characters are intriguing. I was not happy when it ended and I can’t wait for more!

Death In Her Eyes is book one in the Children of the Fallen series and in this book we meet Elle. I loved the new world this author created and after that interesting twist I can’t wait to read the next book in this series to find out what happens next. Great writing, interesting characters and a story that left me wanting more make this a great series start.
Elle sees the death of the person who she touches or gets touched by. She has seen her Mother’s death and no matter what she tries, it happens anyway. Her absentee Father shows up at the funeral and kidnaps her. He takes her the Fallen Academy where there are people like her. Elle is full of angst and doesn’t really fit in. She finds out things about her and her family that changes everything. This was a great first book in the series and I can’t wait for the next book to find out what happens.

I am a huge fan of Erin Bedford and jumped at the release of a new series. This did not disappoint. The only thing I am disappointed about is that I can’t dive into book 2 yet! Elle is special, or as she sees it cursed. She has the teenage angst and prudently goes through a lot of trauma and finds out her life isn’t what she thought it was. Everything she thought she knew about her parents is false and she is a Nephilim. On to the Fallon Academy where she finally knows shes not the only person with weird powers but yet she still feels like the outsider. Because she is incredibly special and has been what the Angels and Nephilim have been waiting for. Great storytelling and characters i can’t wait to learn more about Elle, Dex and Cass.
Ok i love Erin! This is like in my top 5 Indi authors and this book of freaking amazing!! Elle’s journey is just beginning and I cannt wait to see what’s in story next!
This is book 1 of the Children of the Fallen series. This is a great start to the series. I really enjoyed this book. It’s very well written and grabs your attention from the start. Elle and the rest of the characters are well written and developed. I’m looking forward to reading the next book. I would recommend reading.

I loved this book. It introduced Elle who has a thing about not touching people so she does not see how they die. She was very entertaining to read about as she is one snarky woman. It takes the usual Angel vs fallen angel story and makes it interesting. Elle ends up at an academy in the middle of nowhere by her absent father and she gets to use her snark often and well So many scenes made me laugh out loud. I was amused and my attention caught from the beginning. Loved the ending and cannot wait to see what happens next. Anther great series by a great author.
Children of the Fallen
This is the first story in Ms. Bedford’s new “Children of the Fallen”. With this story, a new “world” and a new heroine(Elle) is created. Anyone familiar with this author knows to expect anything and everything. Let me tell you that this story doesn’t disappoint!

This is a fascinating story with strong characters and an intriguing story line. The author does a fantastic job developing the story and pulls you in with all the twists along the way. It’s well written, moves fluidly and is a great start to a new series. I was hooked from start to finish and left with wanting more. I loved and highly recommend this book and am looking forward to the next one!

OMG I loved this! A fantastic first book in this series which I got totally lost in the minute I picked this up! The world building is incredible, the storyline addictive and the characters are superb! Along with the danger and drama there is a ton of twists and turns to keep you on your toes and that ending! OMG I need the next book like now please!
this book was filled with suspense and kept me on the edge of my seat. I can actually relate to the main character because she was a loner and liked to be her own individual person until she went to that special school and met elementals like herself.

This is an exciting start to a new series. I liked Elle along with a sarcastic and strong personality. This is an interesting read with a great storyline. This has some great unexpected twists that will keep you hooked.

I’m a big fan of Erin Bedford, and I couldn’t pass the opportunity for this book. This first installment in a new series is a intriguing and captivating as all her books. To some it may look that it starts slowly, but to me that’s the beauty of it. We get to learn a bit of the background story, but without giving away everything. There are juicy details that haven’t yet come to light. What’s the deal with Elle? Why does she only see death? And why when she’s with Dex it’s not the only thing she sees? What’s Cass’s part? Is her father really the douchebag she really thinks he is? All these and more tantalizing questions are still left unanswered. The cliffhanger ending left me hungry for the next installment. I really can’t wait!!!
Elle always knew she was different. After the death of her mother, she thinks she’s a freak even among freaks
But really, getting boxed into the freak category and cut off from emotional support is what pushes her towards danger
Intense start to a continuing journey
The story line was good, the character work great, and the book had a smooth flow to it. This was a quick, fun read. I look forward to the next one.

Absolutely loved Erin Bedford’s newest release! The storyline was full of Nephilim and angels (which if you’re familiar with Erin’s works she previously wrote about angels. This is not like that) I loved Erin’s unique spin on her stories. Elle’s visions of death were something I have not seen before from Nephilim stories. Overall I enjoyed the storyline. Can’t wait to see how book 2 will continue!
I need book 2 Asap! This was an amazing angel/nephilim story. Elle had her world turned upside down and her visions of death shaped her personality. Dex was a interesting compliment to her in this book. I’m so mad this book ended, I need more of this world now!

Death in her eyes is the first book in the new serie by Erin Bedford, Children of the fallen.
Since she was only four, Elle life was surronded by death. When she touch people she have visions of their death. That bring her nothing but pain and confusion. Later, at her mom funeral, her father that was absent all her life kidnap her and take her to the Fallen academy. There she learn thats she no ordinary human. She a nephilim. Her father is an angel, a fallen angel. Like all the other person of her age at the academy. Shes a seer. Others have also powers over the elements or mind readers.
I really cant wait for the sequel.

Interesting read. Elle had her world turned upside down as she found out who her parents really were. The war between Angels and Fallen Angels was not what she had expected to find herself in the center of. She was full of pain and now confusion, and I loved how she tried to figure things out as she learned more and became more determined to leave it all behind. When she made her choice, I knew I needed to read the next in this series.
I received a copy of this story through Enticing Journey Book Promotions, and this is my unsolicited review.
Elle has dealt with death her whole life. If she touched someone she can see their death. She has seen her mother’s death so many times that she has to act to be mourning for her. On the day of the funeral her absentee and uninvolved father arrives and kidnaps her to a school for her safety. She was looking forward to going to college with her best friend and now her dad has destroyed her plans. Is he helping her or really using her for his own means. Does she choose Dex the treacher or Cass the motorcycle riding angel? Will the fallen angels children survive those who want them dead? So many questions and reasons to get the next book in the series.
