The #1 Bestseller, with over 200 five star reviews! On the rugged, wild, eastern shore of Barbados, Cindy and Clint are enjoying their dream honeymoon, when paradise quickly turns into hell. Cindy finds her newly beloved taken away from her, drowned in a freak accident in the ocean. The local police are quick to declare it an accident, to insist that he was caught in a sudden riptide. But Cindy, … But Cindy, left all alone, is not convinced.
Cindy must return to her and Clint’s now-empty home in New York and face her in-laws, who never wanted Clint to marry her, and who did everything to make her engagement and wedding hell. She must deal with all of these women’s backbiting, gossiping and unspoken accusations, while she tries to get a handle on her own grief and to get clear on what really happened to Clint.
Cindy is mailed an anonymous photo of a woman she had never met, addressed to Clint. As she tries to unravel the mysterious package, as she begins to dig deeper into Clint’s emails and files, she realizes how many secrets Clint had been hiding from his past. She realizes that she didn’t really know the man she loved. And she also realizes that Clint was murdered.
She digs deeper, into the depths of Clint’s massive corporation, DGB oil, and as she starts to unearth information she shouldn’t, she goes too far. Soon her own life is in peril. On the run, she realizes that the only way to get answers, and to save her own life, is to return to where it all began: Barbados. As she heads into the dark underside of the island, into the heart of the local villages, she is shocked to discover what really happened to her husband on their honeymoon.
But by then, it may already be too late.

Easy to read,good pace.
Will defiantly read more from this author.
This story was different from some of the stories I have read I really liked this book.
Sadly I found this book to be so poorly written and so inundated with errors I cannot recommend it at all. I tried reading it again as I wondered did I miss something, but no, it really is bad.
I checked the author’s later offerings to see if they were better fare than this, but there’s no visible improvement that I can find. The spelling and …
Newlyweds go off for their honeymoon and then tragedy strikes. The authorities claim an accident, but the new wife knows better and will not stop until she solves it. Great book, held my interest from start to finish.
I really enjoyed this book. I have yet to read other titles by this author but do intend to soon.
A very basic book easy to read book
While the book was well-written, I had determined the killer and the reason around the half-way mark. I had only to see how it was solved. The solution was done well, but it was not a book I would read again.
Wanted to read more. Action pack and mystery. A must read page turner. I highly recommend
This is a chick focused book. Disguised as a detective thriller, it’s really a romance harlequin type book. Not what I typically read
It was ok, pretty simple.
Badly written, many typos, predictable outcome, unrealistic two dimensional characters
it is well written, the plot is fairly plausible and our heroine is really believable. I found myself taking my tablet with me and reading this book at every opportunity to follow the plot ,I will try to follow Jaden Skye in the future.
Just ok
I didn’t really care for this novel. Everything was too pat, too of course she solved it. This is also a series but the first novel put me off the rest. I’m not going to complete this series.
predictable
I finished it but it was a challange
The book’s review, in the front of book, is a little misleading. It speaks of the heroine, going into the “underbelly” to find answers to her husband’s death. It bespeaks of danger, but in actuality, there is little danger at all. This, to me, is a little juvenile. Sorry
Quick read but not that great
This book was fluff. Poor character development and shallow story.
