USA TODAY BESTSELLER!First book in the Death by Chocolate series Lindsay loves chocolate. It tastes good, it makes her feel good, it never cheats on her like her almost-ex-husband. It’s her best friend. But someone wants her dead and uses her weak spot—chocolate—to try to murder her. Lindsay’s only secret is the recipe for her chocolate chip cookies, but she is surrounded by neighbors with deadly … by neighbors with deadly secrets. Suddenly she finds herself battling poisoned chocolate, a psycho stalker, and a dead man who seems awfully active for a corpse.
Her best friend and co-worker, Paula, dyes her blond hair brown, hides from everybody and insists on always having an emergency exit from any room. Secrets from Paula’s past have come back to put lives in jeopardy.
Determined to help Paula, Lindsay enlists the reluctant aid of another neighbor, Fred, an OCD computer nerd. In spite of his mundane existence, Fred possesses tidbits of knowledge about such things as hidden microphones, guns, the inside of maximum security prisons and how to take someone down with a well-aimed kick to his chin.
As Lindsay battles the elusive stalker, poisoned chocolate, and the dead man, she will need more than a chocolate fix to survive. But that’s always a good start.

I love any story that comes with Chocolate. Lindsay own’s a shop that makes chocolate and also serves breakfast and lunch. She hires a young lady to help her that has a secret past. They bond and become good friends and while Paula remains a mystery, Lindsay knows she can rely on Paula. Lindsay is very loyal and will do almost anything to help …

Some of the lines in this book had me falling out of my chair laughing. Very unique and clever humor. Good read.
Very fun read
Misadventures and at odds relationships with soon to be ex and police were very entertaining.
Death by Chocolate is a great quick read. Characters include a stray cat that turns into a guard cat helpng save several situations not involving chocolate. A mysterious battered single mom moves in next door that appears to be on the run be must at sometime take a stand. Who is after her? Is her ex-father-in-law out to do her harm or steal …
I enjoyed this book very much. It held my interest till the end and made me want to get more books by this author.
I liked the interesting characters. They are so likable and you are drawn to them right off. I would be interested to see the further development of them in another book. Warning: there are other books with same title but different obviously author.
Good characters
loved the story great characters fun read
This was an entertaining, lighthearted read with no dull moments. I enjoyed it very much, and would recommend it as a cozy mystery that you don’t want to stop reading.
This book is well written and characters are genuine and believable. As the story develops, it gets more interesting and funny! I want to read more books by this author.
Funny, fast paced, witty but odd font that made it hard to read and hard to keep margins inside the screen. First book I have had this happen with. It was very distracting.
Read all the books in this series, will read more when they come out for sure.
Flippant remarks in serious investigation not funny. Flippant remarks by main character seemed juvenile and inappropriate compared to seriousness of mystery and agony of other main character/ child . Will not read another cozy mystery by this author.
Fun quick read
I liked the main character and the story.
nothing too unusual about this book … but it’s a very nice read. Try it … you’ll like it … or something like that.
