USA TODAY BESTSELLER!First book in the Death by Chocolate series Lindsay loves chocolate. It tastes good, it makes her feel good, it never cheats on her like her almost-ex-husband. It’s her best friend. But someone wants her dead and uses her weak spot—chocolate—to try to murder her. Lindsay’s only secret is the recipe for her chocolate chip cookies, but she is surrounded by neighbors with deadly … by neighbors with deadly secrets. Suddenly she finds herself battling poisoned chocolate, a psycho stalker, and a dead man who seems awfully active for a corpse.
Her best friend and co-worker, Paula, dyes her blond hair brown, hides from everybody and insists on always having an emergency exit from any room. Secrets from Paula’s past have come back to put lives in jeopardy.
Determined to help Paula, Lindsay enlists the reluctant aid of another neighbor, Fred, an OCD computer nerd. In spite of his mundane existence, Fred possesses tidbits of knowledge about such things as hidden microphones, guns, the inside of maximum security prisons and how to take someone down with a well-aimed kick to his chin.
As Lindsay battles the elusive stalker, poisoned chocolate, and the dead man, she will need more than a chocolate fix to survive. But that’s always a good start.

Anxious to read more about Lindsay, Fred, Paula, Zach, and Trent.
Great characters. Lindsay is a wonderfully outspoken woman!
I really liked this book.
Cute read
An ex who won’t leave you alone, One neighbor accused of murder, two policemen, one good one bad, another neighbor who apparently has access to anything in the world and chocolate. Who could ask for anything more?
This is the 2nd book in this series that I have read. You know the characters and want to know what happens to them in the next book. Is a good read.
Surprisingly enjoyable
Loved the unexpected twists and turns and the characters.
It keeps you guessing. Diverse whimsical characters that you like or strongly dislike.
Another good “cozie” with attitude…I want more.
Chocolate, mystery, chocolate, witty repartee, chocolate, a “hunky” cop, chocolate…
well you get the picture…..
Loved this book! Would put it up against the Stephanie Plum books.
This is a clever book that will keep you reading until the end
So so a bit predictable
Great, easy read
just loved it. kept my husband awake while i read it in bed, laughing
This book is very well written. The friendship of the main character is amazing. While reading about the EX fiance I wanted to jump through the book and to g his neck.
This book was my first to read by this author and I am hooked! She has a witty way of writing to make me laugh one minute and then be on a roller coaster the next. So glad she has a series and I intend to read every one of hers! Enjoy the recipes at the end of the book too.
I love te way this writer writes AND her characters! I have boyught all 7 books! 😉
What a wonderful book to read on a vacation. I didn’t want to put it down. Numerous times I was laughing out loud as the book porogressed to a conclusion. I put it on my read again list.
While I enjoyed the premiss and story line I found Lindsay’s coke and chocolate stoked life tiring. Her frenetic thinking and smart mouth lost much of there charm by the end of the book.
This is a really fun story. I will definitely read more from this author.
