BOOK 3: THE GREAT CHOCOLATE SCAM
After two years of waiting, Rick has finally agreed to sign the divorce papers and give Lindsay her freedom. But while she’s waiting in her lawyer’s office for him to appear, his car blows up in his driveway. Lindsay is left with an image of her estranged husband’s green SUV flying around the neighborhood along with pieces of Rick—a blue contact lens in Mrs. Hawkins’ driveway, a perfectly creased trouser leg hanging on the street sign, a vertebra on the immaculate lawn.
Since their divorce wasn’t final and Rick has no family, Lindsay assumes she is his only heir. But before his estate is settled, poor orphan Rick has more relatives than a lottery winner.
Is the obnoxious Rickie Jr. really Rick’s son? Why is the woman who claims to be Rick’s mother so certain the child is not her grandson? Are these people really related to Rick, or was he actually an alien stranded on earth when the mother ship left without him?

This is a great group of stories. The story keeps you interested and even tho it’s a who-dun-it, it written with humorous dialog. I enjoyed it so much I bought books four and five and wish there was a six!
Wonderful series
Loved these 3 books! Great interesting characters. Just bought book 4!
FUN TRILOGY. This was nothing too deep, but just fun to read. I am from Kansas City, so locations referenced in the books were fun to read about. It could have a little more depth to it, but for a quick entertaining read it was fine.
Great fun to read this trilogy. I fear the main character will soon weigh 300+ pounds with all the chocolate she consumes but the stories were very entertaining.
This trilogy of books were entertaining and I enjoyed the sarcasim of the main character. It was a delight to read.
Enjoyed this box set tremendously! Was very sad when I reached the end. Loved the characters and the funny situations. Great cozy mysteries!
I like reading Cozy Mysteries, especially in summer. Light, breezy, easy on the brain. Add a protagonist with a series jones for chocolate, and I’m in love. Wish book 4 was available for Kindle…I’d buy that one too.
