HE CAN GUARD HER Lady Phoebe Batten is pretty, vivacious, and yearning for a social life befitting the sister of a powerful duke. Another wonderful tale of bravery, passionate love and endurance. I was so ready to get to know Captain James Trevellion. OMG, that name alone, is something else. I really like how Hoyt continues to find unique ways to define her characters. In this book, the heroine is blind, which is not something I’ve run across in historical stories before. There were more twists added to this story in order to set up a future book and that was very well done. Again, such an enjoyable read!
