Nothing said tragic like going solo to a society wedding, especially when the bride was my sister. With no prospects and even less time, I turned to a sure thing: a matchmaker. I just wasn’t expecting to be matched with Archie Reed. He was the rakishly handsome lawyer at a rival firm and the man responsible for humiliating me in the courtroom during my first trial. But my desperation combined … combined with Archie’s charm and persistence left me with no other option.
Archie was supposed to be the solution to a temporary problem, so why did my heart want him to stay permanently?

Sometimes love can be found with the most unlikely of people. Layne is looking for Mr. Temporary, while Archie is looking for something not so temporary. The main characters, Layne and Archie are rival attorneys who have, unbeknownst to each other sought the services of a Matchmaker. The matchmaker demands contact is in letter writing first. So there is attraction and hopefulness in writing. Everything changes when they meet. The chemistry written thrust their dialogue and letters was perfect.

Not that much to write about this story. It is a very captivating, emotional, heartwarming story that made me laugh, cry and cheer. A very well written short story that made my day much better.
I love the different approach to the romance.
Layne’s mother and sister look down their noses at her and try to make her feel less. When she gets invited to her sister’s wedding but doesn’t get the option of a plus one she gets mad. She calls and tells them that she is bringing a date without having one yet. When she signs on to the match making service she never thought that she would be baring her soul to her professional rival Archie Reed. Archie has always wanted Layne but never thought he’d get the chance. Now after what she shared with him Archie knows that he isn’t going to let this chance pass him by. Can they with stand anything her family throws at them?
This is a great story that will captivate you from beginning to end. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend it to any book lover.

Amazing and fantastic! A great read with a perfect storyline that is superbly written. The plot is consistent, relatable, and well-developed with ups and downs, family drama, humour, and witty banter. Archie and Layne are loveable, deep, and sincere; the chemistry between them is intense and the sex scenes are off the charts hot! I loved watching their story unfold and the ups and downs make for a wonderful story. Definitely recommended.

Layne needs a date for her sister’s society wedding so she signs up with Grace Graham’s matchmaking agency to find Mr. Temporary. She only needs him to be her pretend boyfriend for the wedding but they turn out to be a perfect match. This is a well written love story about two people who have sizzling chemistry and they are perfect for each other. This is a great addition to The Matchmaker Series and I am loving all the novellas in this series. The covers are drool worthy!

Needing a date for her sisters wedding Layne sent a letter to the matchmaker never imagining her Mr Temporary would be her rival Archie. How he infuriates her! He proves when they are together that he will fight for her and she can’t help but realize all this time what she thought was hate is actually love. They are so grateful the matchmaker put them together so their lives could be better together.
Exciting and so full of love you’ll burst with feelings as you follow their story.

Family dynamics have an influence on us whether positive or negative. And this plays an important role in this story. Another is how what we perceive about another is not necessarily the truth. When we make up our minds to persevere no matter what, what ensues can be total bliss. Once we see the light at the end of the tunnel, things become infinitely more clear.

Oh, I so loved this story. When you find your perfect match and realize it’s someone you thought you hated. Layne was just so funny. Archie was the perfect blend of sexy, romantic, and funny. I’m glad he didn’t let Layne get her way and he had that hot sexy alpha thing going. I also love these collaborations and when characters from previous stories make an appearance so I absolutely loved seeing Layne being friends with Milly and her being in England.

Layne is looking for a date for her sisters wedding. Archie is looking for love. They have both employed Grace Graham. She matches them but when Layne sees who it is she runs. She hates him and he hates her….or so she thinks. I loved riding their love roller coaster with them.

I decided to read this as I love all of Tracy Lorraine’s books and I know she does collaborations with other authors, this being one of them. So I wanted to see if I enjoyed the others as much. This is the second one I tried and it fell slightly short of Tracy Lorraine and Kim Loraine. I think it was the sex scenes just seemed a bit too over the top. I didn’t feel the chemistry between the characters.
Layne didn’t even like Archie when she met him but then did a complete 180 within hours it just felt really forced. The speed they go at their relationship just didn’t sit right, I know it is a shortchanged novella but Gallo didn’t quite seem tog et the pace right.
I actually preferred the side story of Layne’s sister getting married and would have liked to read a story about her wedding and her uppity ways!
Layne Hall is a successful lawyer but is vindicated black sheep because she’s not getting married yet.
When her sister is getting married in six months, she reaches out to Grace, who matches people via letters first.
Archie is also a lawyer, someone she already knows and dislikes, but who she’s been writing to as Mr. Temporary, her potential date to her sisters wedding.
He’s her enemy in the courtroom.
Sparks fly.
Her sister is bridezilla.
Who will be her date?

Maybe not so temporary!?!!?

Layne Hall daughter to one of the wealthiest families in town. A lawyer and the youngest junior partner in the firm, yet she still is not good enough for her mother or Saddie her sister. Sadie’s wedding is in six months away and her wedding invitation arrives without even a plus one allowed. Layne calls her mother and sister saying she will be bringing a date to the wedding.
Layne now needs to find a Mr Temporary as her date.
Archie Reed also a lawyer at a different law firm has always felt attracted to Layne from the first time they met, unfortunately it was in court and he won the the case. Professional rivary ever since. Layne sets out to find her wedding date.
Milly her friend puts her in contact with
Grace Graham a matchmaker who does things a little differently than other matchmaking services. Imagine her suprise after writing Mr Temporary her honest emotional letter, spillling her heart out about being the black sheep of her family to discover her Mr Temporary is indeed Archie her professional nemesis. This was a well written story with great romantic comedy and a wonderful love story filled with passion off the charts sexual chemistry and a strong stubborn man who shows Layne that she indeed worth the world and to be worshipped. I really enjoyed this book.
Dear Mr Temporary by Rebecca Gallo a five-star read that you will want permanently in your life. This is definitely one for all of those old-fashioned romantics out there especially those who have ever felt like the black sheep of the family, as you will adore this story. This Matchmaker really knows her stuff, and what would you do to save going stag? There was a great sizzle with the arguments between Archie and his black sheep. This is short, sweet and steamy, with a plot that will keep you hooked.
A nudge to find a love that was right in front of her
Layne needed a date to her sister’s high society wedding. She remembered about a story her friend had wrote about Grace Graham’s old fashioned matchmaking service (letter writing to get to know one another before meeting) & figured she’d give it a shot. She wasn’t looking for forever just someone temporary but Mr Temporary soon embeds himself in her thoughts & no longer wants to be temporary. The surprise comes when they plan to meet. Layne finds out her match is someone she already knows & doesn’t really like, Archie Reed. Archie is a rival counselor she has a history with in the court room. Believing in Grace’s matchmaking skills is hard for Layne but Archie doesn’t give up easy.
Great story! Layne & Archie are a romance power couple. The banter, romance, chemistry & steam add so much to the story. Archie is on my list (I have lots of lists. Lol) of book boyfriends.
The Matchmaker Series is a collaboration of short stories by different authors linked in the same world. Grab some coffee or wine if you prefer. Get comfy and prepare to be romanced into Valentine’s just as these authors know how to do. Swooning!! I love, love, love these short stories of romance with just enough steam to keep it more interesting
One of the Best Romcom Novellas Around!
Dear Mr Temporary by author Rebecca Gallo is a wonderful enemy to lovers novella. It is a very well written storyline that kept me reading straight through until the end.
