But apparently my niece thought I needed a girlfriend.
Truthfully? That’s the last thing I need.
I’m too broken for love.
That ship sailed a long time ago.

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, we are treated to a series of “related” stories by various authors. Ms. Callahan’s story features a match with one of my favorite type of H- a firefighter. I mean what woman wouldn’t want to be matched with a hunky firefighter? Especially one who’s little niece thinks he needs someone to make him happy. I loved this story and all the characters…especially little Abby.

I really enjoyed this quick and entertaining read. This is the first book in the Matchmaker series that I have read, I cannot wait to read more of this series and see how Grace continues to bring couples together. This story is about Cain and Chloe, neither one of these characters sign up for What the Heart Wants on their own. Cain’s profile is setup through the site’s app by his 10 year old niece. Chloe signs up to support her friend Lola. Neither one of these characters sees a HEA in their future are thinking of quitting…….until Grace contacts them both and informs them that they have a match and need to write a letter to the other. What faster way to scare someone off then to be brutally honest about their thoughts and feelings. Well, this first letter leads to second and the second to a third. Now its date time. This was an entertaining read of how Cain and Chloe reach their HEA, this is not an easy ride but they find that as they work together as a team, they can get there.

Dear Mr Firefighter by Kellie Callahan a four-star read that will set you alight. I am loving these stand-alone stories in the matchmaker series, this one took a little longer to get into, but I have loved this author work before and think it was just me, I wasn’t in the mood for a hot firefighter and let’s face it that’s never a good day!! Cain and Chloe are a match made in heaven and they will move heaven and earth to make it.
Dear Mr. Firefighter, you are the one. Wonderful read. You have two people that are clearly against relationships. They were perfect for each other. They both wanted to prove that relationships don’t work and they were wrong. It wasn’t a fluke that they met. They needed to meet each other to find happiness.

Chloe is disillusioned in love, She joins a matchmaking site under duress from her best friend
Cain is an St. Louis firefighter. He is an ex-Navy Seal, helping his sister, a single mother with a 10 year old daughter. His niece signs him up for a matchmaking service to help him find a wife.
Chloe and Cain go into this unsure and totally laying their cards out front. They are both unsure this will work and they are not looking for anything.
Sweet story and so worth the read,

I enjoyed this story. It was a fun, fairly light-hearted read. Both the characters are hesitant about a relationship. It’s not so much the matchmaker that is causing it as their past histories and what they have seen around them. Chloe had a horrible experience when she was a child with her parents and watching them explode and it has made it hard for her to trust. I liked that they wrote each other letters at first. It was cute and I loved the way that they were so honest in them. It made the rest of the story flow and work for me. Cain was hesitant for different reasons but always knew that if he got into a relationship he needed to know that both of them would fight for the relationship to work and not give up at the first signs of trouble. The story is explicit and while there isn’t a lot of actual sex in it, there is a lot of foreplay, heavy makeout sessions, and plenty of sexual tension between them. Overall, I enjoyed reading the story and it kept me entertained.

I loved this matchmaking story from start to finish. All the characters were great and realistic. It really was a fun read and I think you will enjoy it as much as I did!

Cain and Chloe were the best! This was longer than expected since I am used to these collaborations being shorter but with Cain and Chloe it worked since they were waiting for the 3 months. I am so glad they didn’t wait though! Everything worked out in the end and Cain was the perfect match for Chloe. I only wonder what happened to Lola at the end. I hope we get her story as well.

To attain anything worthwhile is, oftentimes it comes at a high cost most aren’t willing to pay.
If you like stories about characters who have had to struggle in life and seem to have lost their way, you’ll love this story of Chloe and Cain. Good people living emotionally empty lives have a chance to change all that thanks to their matchmaker. My heart and emotions were heartily engaged in the characters. Love this author!

Chloe goes to a Matching service because of her friend Lola. Cain is signed up by his niece. Both are skeptical and really don’t want to do it. Their matchmaker Grace sees something in them and decides to set them up with their permission. This is the start to a great story…..

Wonderful Valentines Day Romance
This is just a fantastic story in this romantic Matchmaking series. This one is written by Kelli Callahan and she has written this firefighter match with excellent writing skills. Her scenes are not only funny and touching but deliciously hot as well. The main characters, Chloe and Cain were fun to read how their relationship was going to unfold and have their HEA.
I love that they are short enough to read in an evening or a couple in a day if I’m feeling lazy and forgo doing anything else.
Definitely recommending this book (like all the others in the series) for your reading enjoyment and I am leaving this review for your consideration. Happy Valentines Day.
Love worth waiting for
Chloe & Cain are pushed by family or friend to seek the services of Grace Graham, a Matchmaker that uses tried & true, old school ways of bringing soul mates together. They both have baggage but decide to give this a shot. Magic results. Amazing story of love finding a way.
The Matchmaker Series is a collaboration of short stories by different authors linked in the same world. Grab some coffee or wine if you prefer. Get comfy and prepare to be romanced into Valentine’s just as these authors know how to do. Swooning!! I love, love, love these short stories of romance with just enough steam to keep it more interesting
