This is book one of a three book series . I couldn’t put the books down. I couldn’t stop reading til the last page of book three wish there would be another one . Thanks Denise they were great
Well written, totally original and very interesting story. Only rated 4 because it is a cliffhanger.
The idea of a girl using a journal is a kick to me as I did for a few years myself.. She uses this to remember and help herself and the whole idea was great! Loved it!
A great, all-around time-traveling romance with a twist! Love it!
I love time travel novels and this one was entertaining. I’m looking forwarding to reading the next installment.
Unexpected joy. This book started out slowly but it got really good and I totally enjoyed it I can’t wait to read for another one of hers. Lots of turns and twists.
Loved the quirkiness of the main characters. I continued on with the trilogy as I had to follow the story to the happy ending. Did not disappoint.
A different type of a time travel story.
Absolutely loved this book. Bought the other two in the series.
Very interesting and intriguing. I always enjoy seeing how characters from modern times adapt to earlier time periods. Well written!
It was very enjoyable. I was having a hard time getting into a new book and Dear Maude grabbed my attention from the start. I did not see the conclusion coming at all. Bravo!!
This book took my breath. It’s got more twists and turns than a premier roller coaster, and near the end of the story, I still had no idea where I was going to land–or in what time period. Liebig does a brilliant job of melding time travel with romance and historical fiction, and the edge-of-your-seat suspense is heart-pounding. I simply love this book.
I could not put this book down. Can’t wait to read the rest of the series.
The first book in this series was very interesting. So much that I had to read the second book. I don’t recommend it. By the second book I was bored and the last book went sci- fi. Not my thing.
Audiobook Review
After reading the blurb for Dear Maude, I was intrigued. It’s been awhile since I have read or listened to anything in the sci-fi genre, and the time travel aspect is what lured me in.
The first few chapters we get to know Emily as she getting ready to graduate from college and start her job working for the company where she obtained her scholarship. This is where the plot really picks up and we are taken back to 1910. Emily manages to to keep her journal with her where she writes to her Aunt Maude. The real kicker is, who can she trust? Will she ever see her family again? The author keeps us guessing at ever turn! I highly recommend this book!
Daniela did an outstanding job with the narration!!! All of the characters, and accents from different years, she nailed them all!!!
AudiobookObession
This story was just too far out of left field for me. It was well written and the characters were well fleshed out. Just not my cup of tea
Lots of twists and turns…a series book
The book is slow to develop the characters and the story. Book gets better after about half way, but still just lies there. On the plus side, good character development. I feel like the author doesn’t really do anything much with them.
The story starts off well enough, very intriguing then it slows down and timelines don’t make sense and it seems just thrown together in the beginning.
The first book was very good and easy to read; however, it left you with a major cliff hanger. Personally I do not care for book series that leave you hanging. Much prefer series that are stand alone stories with a continuation of characters. I will not finish the series after reading previews for the remaining books. Doesn’t sound like a happy ever after series.
