If love was certain, they wouldn’t call it falling. I don’t want a date; I want a mate. I’m not much of a lady’s man. Can’t we just skip all the awkward stuff? My sister assures me this matchmaker service is the real deal. So, I sign up to humor her, but then I’m blown away.Claire is everything I could have asked for and more. She’s charming, funny, and she gets me. But everything falls apart … she gets me. But everything falls apart when she finds out I can’t give her the one thing she wants most: a family.
Claire thinks I lied. I have to make her see there’s honor in this lonely heart.

One is the sweetest books I e read in a long time. I really enjoyed it. Quick and easy. Maybe just a little bit angst but just right for making time go by.
I liked this short story that evolved around two broken souls. The author wrote a well written story with a believable storyline and relatable characters. Their family means well when they try to match them together. Wonderfully written to show facets of their pain but also what great people they are, this book was a delightful read.
Claire’s cousin Laura surprises her by signing them up with a matchmaking service. Skeptical Thomas’ sister signs him up with the same service. When these two are matched, they correspond through hand written letters. They are intrigued with each other & meet in person with sparks flying, until a misunderstanding causes Claire to become angry & accuse Thomas of lying.
This was a great, easy to read story about two people who don’t think they will find love. The characters are relatable & adorable together. Looking forward to reading Claire’s sister, Amelia’s book!
How sweet is this? Instead of a website dating service, a lady named Grace, does it the old fashioned way…by writing letters to their potential matches to get to know them. No phones numbers, no social media, no addresses (they mail their letters to er and she mails them out). She hand picks matches, no relying on computer programs or algorithms to match someone up. Kinda sweet. My husband has written many many love letters over the 24 years we’ve been together and they are all put up and something I cherish.
Although a quick read, I feel like I got to know these characters through their letters just like their potential matches, and when they finally meet up, they get to know each other more and find out just how perfect a matchmaker Grace really is. Sweet and romantic, I enjoyed this little novella.
He is lonely and he wants a mate but does not want all the mushy stuff. His sister signs him up for a matchmaker. He meets her and they go out but there is one thing he does not want chikdren. She thinks he has lied to her. Will she run? What will happen? See if they mend it

Once again, well meaning relatives push our couple to try a matchmaking service with delightful results.
This is another story in the loosely connection Matchmaker series. Each story is written by a different author and feature different settings and couples, but they share the same common starting point, in this case employing the help of the Matchmaker.
One of the things that I like about these story series is that they are all well written and presented. This story is no exception. We get a good solid plot with two delightful characters that have you cheering for them from the first letters. The connection between them is real and helps draw you into the story. Along the way we get a bit of steam, a bit of romance and a nice relaxing read with a solid HEA. Perfect for a nice evening read.
Highly recommended.

This is the next installment in the matchmaker series.
Claire retreated into herself after her husband died in an accident. Her cousin thinks that its time for her move on with her life and suggests a match making site. Thomas is tired of the endless blind dates but his sister won’t let up and he ends up signed up to a matchmaker service. The rule of the service is that they get to know one another through their letters first before agreeing to meet. Claire and Thomas connect through their letters and decide to meet. When they meet they have an even deeper connection than they thought. However a family emergency and a misunderstanding might split them up before they have a chance to begin. Can they find their way back to each other?
This is a great story that will captivate you from beginning to end. The chemistry between them is off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Writing letters to find your match. Being open & honest. There is a lot they have in common but a misunderstanding could change everything. Add a dog to the mix and who can resist

Wow. This theme blew me away. I liked it a lot and cheer because the author has made this story different. Mostly it is taboo but being a survivor myself I like when it is brought out there. Why not?
A very well written short story with a likeable couple that have not had the best experiences in the past. Misunderstandings have to be addressed before they can have their HEA. Sweet, fun, serious, emotional and twisted story that is an entertaining read I only can recommend to others.
A quick read of 77 pages it is well written a story that drew me in from the first page. Two lonely people and a dating site this is Claire and Thomas’ story I found it to be a story that pulled at my heartstrings. I enjoyed the surprise at the end. This not only made me laugh, and sigh, but also cry a little. This was so sweet and perfect. We also get to visit Blaze again and hear about Amelia, although Damon wasn’t around. This was one of the sweetest stories ever.

Author spins another great holiday tale!
This one revolves around Valentine’s Day, and it is a real tear-jerker. If you like reading about how a matchmaker makes those matches, this story will give you a good idea. I breezed right through and was enchanted by the characters. Look forward to reading others in this series.

Thomas has struck out in the dating game and his sister feels like she’s failed him. He actually wants a relationship. So he tries out What the heart wants match making service and begins writing letters to Claire as Lonely heart. I loved Claire and Thomas.
Claire & Thomas have each had their share of life changing circumstances. With a nudge from their family members they join an old school matchmaking service that starts by exchanging letters. Honest, open letters about themselves without revealing any specific details while they learn about each other. From here they can choose to meet when they are both ready. Once they meet it’s magical & they end up talking all night. A family emergency & a misunderstanding on Claire’s part could be the end before something they can find out what they could really be but Thomas takes action to save what they have developing in a result of that will make your heart melt.

Book Review
Title: Dear Lonely Heart
Author: Fiona Starr
Genre: Romance
Rating: ****
Review: In Dear Lonely Heart we are introduced to Claire & Thomas who are both signed up to a matchmaking service by a family member. We learn that neither has had much luck in love, but Claire was married, and her husband died in a car accident. This matchmaking service is different from others as it is dependent on matches sending each other hand written letter in order to get to know one another which suits Claire and Thomas perfectly as both are introverted. Claire is assigned the pen name Simple Life and Thomas’ is Lonely Heart.
As they start writing to each other they are both nervous and it comes across, but the information is basic, where they live, what they do for a living etc. However, it is important to note that both like the idea of the person writing their letters. The timescale for the letters isn’t given but it seems they have been conversing for several weeks when the woman who runs the matchmaking service is having a cocktail party for potential matches to meet in person and I am hoping that this is when Claire & Thomas really hit it off, however, the synopsis does give away the fact that it isn’t smooth sailing for the pair.
As we cross into the second half of the story, Claire and Thomas have meet and there is such a spark there however, Thomas does mention he had cancer as a teenager, and I think this might be the reason for the misunderstanding later on. Despite all this I was kind of disappointed that this book was so short I felt it had the real potential to be a full-length contemporary romance. As their relationship gets deeper, things escalate but after spending the night with Thomas, Claire learns there is only a 2% chance of her getting pregnant because of the cancer treatments and she is furious as it means he lied on his application when he said he wanted children otherwise they wouldn’t have been paired together.
The couple don’t really get to talk about this bombshell as Claire’s dad is in the hospital and isn’t doing well so she has to rush off leaving Thomas alone and hurt. In end the pair manage to work out their differences and they live a very happy life and the ending of the story was beautiful to say the least. The only downside to this book was the fact that it wasn’t longer as I would have loved to have seen more of Claire and Thomas, but I will be reading more for this author and series as soon as I can.

Super addition to the matchmaking service I really enjoyed getting to know Claire and Thomas they were good likable characters who have both had some tough times and I was so glad they found each other this is a good quick read and I really enjoyed it
A quick wonderful read.
What a fabulous story. Claire and Thomas both believe love is probably not to be for them. Each of them have a family member that suggests a matchmaker service where you write actual letters to your potential match. A match that is chosen by a person not a computer. This is an emotional read and I loved every minute of it. It’s definitely a must read and I totally recommend it.
