If love was certain, they wouldn’t call it falling. I don’t want a date; I want a mate. I’m not much of a lady’s man. Can’t we just skip all the awkward stuff? My sister assures me this matchmaker service is the real deal. So, I sign up to humor her, but then I’m blown away.Claire is everything I could have asked for and more. She’s charming, funny, and she gets me. But everything falls apart … she gets me. But everything falls apart when she finds out I can’t give her the one thing she wants most: a family.
Claire thinks I lied. I have to make her see there’s honor in this lonely heart.

This was a unique story. Two girls had not had any luck finding decent guys and turned to a matchmaker. This matchmaker had them fill out forms and write a letter (on paper) to their match. Then when they were matched, that’s the way they corresponded. A very unique if old fashion way to communicate. But for someone shy, it works. The story was fun to read and I loved the letters.

Dear Lonely Heart by Fiona Starr a five-star read that will melt even the coldest of hearts. I adored this one, its only short and sweet with a great heat level. Claire was sublime she knows what she wants in life and is at a point where she is able to get it, isn’t she? She is one of those characters that you come across and you know will stay with you. I could read so much more about her and a little fluff ball as well, even though I must say Gonzo will always be my favourite Muppet.
Love in its Simplest Form
Claire & Thomas have each had their share of life changing circumstances. With a nudge from their family members they join an old school matchmaking service that starts by exchanging letters. Honest, open letters about themselves without revealing any specific details while they learn about each other. From here they can choose to meet when they are both ready. Once they meet it’s magical & they end up talking all night. A family emergency & a misunderstanding on Claire’s part could be the end before something they can find out what they could really be but Thomas takes action to save what they have developing in a result of that will make your heart melt.
The Matchmaker Series is a collaboration of short stories by different authors linked in the same world. Grab some coffee or wine if you prefer. Get comfy and prepare to be romanced into Valentine’s just as these authors know how to do. Swooning!! I love, love, love these short stories of romance with just enough steam to keep it more interesting
Great storyline and love Claire and Thomas. I like how they were put together by a matchmaker service and how right they are for each other. And the ending was perfect!
Claire is a widow. She’s tried the whole online dating, mixers, and has given up when she’s invited to try What the heart wants match making service.
Thomas as struck out in the dating game and his sister feels like she’s failed him. He actually wants a relationship. So he tries out What the heart wants match making service and begins writing letters to Claire as Lonely heart.
Sweet, kind of old fashioned but refreshing.
