From USA Today Bestselling Author KL Donn comes the first stand alone installment in the Love Letters short story series. A love that defies time and distance. Dear Killian, Those two words start something I wasn’t intending – something I wasn’t looking for. Dear Jersey, When every battlefield leaves me feeling alone, only letters from you give me peace.
Something beautiful can come from writing a simple letter.
Jersey’s dad asks her to please write a pen pal letter to a soldier and maybe get some of the other teachers at her school to do the same. She chooses Killian from her list and it starts something she never meant to start. It’s a beautiful thing to see these two fall in love through their letters. Quick read and definitely a HEA.
•Jersey & Killian•
This was a very sweet insta love story, I really enjoyed the quirky nature of Jersey and how she connects with Killian.
I think the book could’ve done without the neighbor, as it really just seemed like a forgotten storyline that needed a quick resolution with him moving out.
Other than that I really liked it.
Oh my gosh, this was insanely adorable.
I’m so SO glad I decided to read this beauty today, I never expected it to be as amazing as it was.
The whole storyline had me amazed, I love the thought of doing that, being there for someone who’s at war protecting the country that has no one to talk to. It’s a beautiful story.
It’s a short and extremely cute insta love story. One that’ll make your insides melt from all the adorableness.

Killian and Jersey are so fun!
KL Donn’s Dear Killian was one of the sweetest books I have read to date.
Jersey agrees to do a favor for her father, a General in the Navy. He asks that she act as a pen pal for the adopt a soldier program to help boost morale of men and women serving overseas that have no one back home to write them. Feeling completely awkward, she agrees and begins her first letter to one of the military personal on the list her father gave her . . . a captain in the navy.
Killian is getting ready to retire from the military and only has to finish out his final deployment. When he receives yet another “pity letter,” he has no intentions of reading it . . . but for some reason does. Instead of pity, he finds a blind date of a letter and instantly becomes intrigues with his pen pal and wants to know more about her.
I loved this book . . . from the awkwardness of the initial letters, to the heart felt relationship that soon grows between two people continents apart that have never met in person. When the letters unexpectedly stop, both Jersey and Killian are left having to figure out their feelings and their futures.
While I have been a fan of KL Donn’s for quite some time, this book truly spoke to me. My husband was military and deployed for our first year of married life. Reading the letters between Jersey and Killian brought back memories of letters I shared with my spouse. Honestly, there is nothing more romantic than a love letter you can save to read again and again. I love that this book showed the hardships our military personnel face when deployed . . . especially those who are not lucky enough to have family writing them and sending them a piece of home as the serve for months at a time in hostile areas. Bravo KL! 5 stars!
I absolutely loved Dear Killian. This book is short, sweet, fun, quirky and heart warming story. I loved Killian and Jersey journey. I’m looking forward to reading more love letters books.
