Deamhan by Isaiyan Morrison is an awesome story to read. This is book number one in this awsome brand new start to a new series I fell in love with. I loved reading this story so much cause I love reading about vampires and this story is about a different kind of vampire. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about vampires.

Isaiyan Morrison’s book Deamhan grabbs the reader and yanks them directly into a world of intrigue, danger, and the sultry underbelly of a hidden culture where some knowledge is appreciated and too much is down right deadly.

This is set in the world similar to other vampire world but contains new types of creatures little different from vampires. And of course they have watchers/chroniclers of their own. The story has pretty interesting plotline, lots of action and characters that are intriguing. It definitely has no elements of romantic notions that other vampire world is now associated with. Would be interesting to see how the stories progress in this new world. Will these creatures continue to be devoid of any nostalgia? That would be sad.
Loved it!
She hunts for her mother but it’s her father she has to watch out for. Right? This is a heart wrenching story of love and trust that is broken only then can she grow in truth. Or can she? This is a great story to read and get lost in! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This was a very interesting story with lots of unpredictable twists and turns. I liked the characters and the unexpected things that kept happening. There are a lot of people that you thought could be trusted, who turned out to be on the wrong side. This book quickly ensnares you so you can’t put it down until you finish the book. I do hope there is a continuation of the book because I want to read more to find out the answers to some questions that I have. If you’re looking for a new author or even a good book, you won’t be disappointed with this one.

Caroline Austin was running down a rain-soaked street, her wounds bleeding and stinging. She heard footsteps pounding on the sidewalk behind her. She turned a corner and Lucius was standing in front of her. He picked her up and saw a fresh wound on her chest – she was dying! He was furious because she was “protected” and was not to be harmed. She started to speak and he made her sleep.
Veronica Austin had returned to Minneapolis after 20 years away, now trying to find out what happened to her Mother 20 years ago. Caroline had been part of an organization studying the Deamhans. Veronica’s father, currently President of the Midwest Division, actually runs the organization called The Brotherhood, but he was not going to help her, seemed to have wiped out all trace of her mother, and had no regard for Veronica at all. Now she stood in front of a building named “Dark Sepulcher”, where she was investigating its dark secrets and where she would begin the search for her mother. The club was owned by a vampire. Generally they were the same thing to Veronica but, while vampires lived off the blood of humans, Deamhan lived off the psychic energy generated by humans in different ways.
This is a fascinating book that gives the reader a history of the differences between vampires and Deamhan, the different type of Deamhan, and a glimpse of their various powers. But the focus on Veronica’s mother’s disappearance and Veronica compelling need for answers about what happened to her drives the story and uncovers a number of astounding secrets and a frightening mystery. There are more books to come, so get a grounding and understanding through this detailed introduction. Vampires will look tame once you see what the Deamhan are capable of doing! Don’t miss the adventure and see if Veronica survives her investigation and learns her mother’s fate!
She tries to hide in the shadows to keep safe but she learns there is a bigger danger out there as she tries to find what happened to her mother. She finds her father has his hand in it all. Will she find her mother? What is her father doing? Follow her journey

Deamhan was a complete surprise as I was expecting a different type of story. What I got was an exceptionally well-written paranormal tale. This is a unique and creative read. Our main character Veronica has grown up without her mother and her father keeps part of what happen from her. Veronica decides to look for her mother and thus her adventure begins as she is thrust into Deamhan. A wonderful adventure from beginning to end. A real page turner. I highly recommend. Received a copy from Booksprout and this is my voluntary and honest review.
I really was surprised by this book! I loved the fresh take on the telling of this vampire world. The twists and turns kept me turning the pages well into the night. I definitely can’t wait to read the rest of the series!

I really super enjoyed this story. The characters were so well developed that it seamlessly weave its tale with great detail and depth kept me totally engaged throughout the entire book.
This is a great vampire/Demon book, all of which are called Deamhan’s in the book. They all are a bit different in how they feed and in what they can do. The average person doesn’t know about these deamhans. Veronica however does, she knows much about them, the differences between them, how they feed and is learning more and more, with all the time she’s been spending with them. Her whole goal for putting her life in danger, is to find out what happened to her Mother.
Her mother was a part of an organization, that knows about and learns about all deamhons. Veronica’s father runs the organization!! It’s called the brotherhood. Veronica’s mother disappeared and Veronica needs answers to know what happened to her.
Excellent book, moves along smoothly, easy to read with excellent characters I really love. I found the characters multidimensional, likeable, all with their own personalities and traits. There is obviously bloody, gory parts, with a dead body or so, fighting and killing. It all fits in, in my opinion expected in this type of book. I didn’t give away to much information on the book on purpose. I want too give nothing away. Everyone, who reads this book should be able to experience it ALL for themselves. It’s so worth it. I absolutely loved this book and can’t wait for the next one.
I received this ARC from the Author, the review is my honest opinion.
Loved this book!!! This is the first book I have read by this author and it is fantastic!!! I love the storyline, how she gives new life to a somewhat stale genre and such great characters. I am here hooked on this series and have found another amazing author to love!!!
I really enjoyed the world building and characters in this book. Deamhan’s and vampires are a different species although a little similar. They are not to be trifled with. Like anything else there are good and bad. We meet Veronica who is seeking to find out what happened to her Mother 20 years ago. She’s affiliated with The Brotherhood which research “others” being Deamhans and Vampires. Her Father is head of a section of them. They are estranged and it seems he cares but I dont know. I had trouble liking Veronica and having sympathy of her trying to find her Mother. She just kept getting into trouble and then going back into the club. She’s attacked several times and TSTL comes to mind. There are a lot of different kind of species and I was confused quite a bit trying to keep them straight. There werent any characters that really stood out for me except Remy which is weird because we dont see him much. I have read Remy’s book so its interesting to go back to the beginning here and see him. There are some typos in this book which was distracting and some of the word usages were incorrect. It was hard for me to really get into this book. I’m surprised because I do love different and this totally is. I didnt hate it but its not something I’d read again personally.
Having read this series a bit out of order, I have admit it was nice to go back to the beginning and get a little bit more of back history on how the author has been building up with world.
I’ve read plenty of vampire books and they all seem to kind of blend into each other. However, Deamhan is a refreshing new twist to this concept.
Victoria’s journey to find her mother turns into something more the further she get’s into this “new world”. Secrets are reveals, lies are discovered, and a conspiracy that may have to do with her own father begins to unravel.
The characters are interesting, and you never know for sure who is helping because they really wish or if they have their own hidden agenda.
Great introduction, can’t wait to immerse myself into the rest!
