USA Today Bestselling Author Carolyn Ridder Aspenson introduces a fun new cozy series featuring sassy Southern charm! LILY SPRAYBERRY SELLS HOMES AND SOLVES CRIMES.Welcome to Bramblett County Georgia, where the tea is sweet, and the crime is real! I wasn’t exactly looking forward to my meeting with my cantankerous older client, Myrtle Redbecker, but I didn’t wish her dead to get out of it.But … I didn’t wish her dead to get out of it.
But dead she was. Right smack in the middle of her kitchen floor, with the murder weapon, a cast iron skillet, lying beside her.
That had to hurt.
Things couldn’t get worse for old Myrtle, but they sure could for me, and then did. Since I’d found the body, I had to report it, which meant I’d have to speak to my ex, who just happened to be the Bramblett County Sheriff. I was not looking forward to that.
I’d promised Myrtle I’d sell her property to a developer, not an individual buyer, though I wasn’t quite sure why that was so important to her. I intended to keep that promise, and as I worked toward that goal, I soon discovered the killer would do anything to make sure I wasn’t successful.
If you love Southern cozy mysteries, you’ll love Lily Sprayberry!

Received a free copy for a review. Great story and characters. Loved it. I will be reading more written by Carolyn Ridder.
I absolutely enjoyed this Southern cozy and am ready to forgo the rest of my TBR pile and delve right into book 2 in the series, lol! A+++
I really enjoyed this book and get wait to keep reading the rest of the series.
I enjoyed the characters and the plot.
I really enjoyed this mystery. It was very cleverly written. I love the characters. It was very easy to read and full of excitement. I will be reading more from this author. A very exciting cozy mystery with lots of suspense. A great ending of course!
I love the Carolyn’s cozies!
Fun read. Loved the characters!
I adored the sweet southern charm in this new cozy mystery from Carolyn Ridder Aspenson. With the author’s eye for details I was easily transported to Bramblett County. From page one I was hooked by the shocking murder of Mrytle Mae Redbeckere. My “who done it” list was surprisingly long for such a small, close knit community. Aspenson weaved quite the web and left me changing my suspect list several times.
This a perfect weekend read that flowed nicely with an intriguing storyline and complex characters. I look forward to reading other books in the series.
This is my very first Cozy Mystery by the Author that I have ever read and what an amazing Cozy Mystery this was!!
The characters were incredible. Lily was so much fun to read about and get to know. For being a real estate agent, she made solving murders easy. I enjoyed following along with Lily and the clues to solving the murderer.
The story-line was phenomenal. I literally couldn’t put this book down. It was so much fun reading along and solving the crimes and thinking I had the murderer figured out to finding out that in the end, I never knew what hit me. Aspenson is an amazing writer and is awesome at reeling her audience and keeping us in suspense. This is a fun and addicting story and I highly recommend it!!
I love reading about small towns where everyone knows everyone else. It’s like one big family of misfits LOL
I haven’t read too many cozy mysteries but this one sucked me right in. Carolyn Ridder Aspenson kept us guessing right until the end (in the KU Version that was at 83%). I can’t wait to read more!
I enjoyed book. The interpersonal relationship between the characters were outstanding. Bonnie and Henrietta are hilarious. The plots were interesting and had so many twists and turns that you are kept guessing until the very end. The books are full of humor, loving friendship, mystery and suspense. I highly recommend the book!
A great story to start off a series!
There are plenty of laughs and romance in this cozy mystery story. The characters living in this small town are so real. I love all the different personalities and how they enrich the story.
An enjoyable and entertaining clean, fun, and easy read. On to book two of the series.
Laugh out loud funny, this story is filled with believable characters and true southern charm. Highly recommend!Looking forward to the next book. Happy reading!

I am a cozy junkie. So, I am always looking and willing to try a new cozy series. However, I didn’t really love this series but I didn’t dislike it either. I liked the MC Lily and there is some fun humor in this series. It also has a spooky treasure story. What’s not to like? I don’t like whiny characters and I felt there was quite a bit of whining related to Lily and her former boyfriend, now Sheriff, Dylan’s relationship. Every time they interacted, I just could not wait until the scene would end. [I am a believer in love just not whiny indecisiveness]. It was light on the mystery as well – I was able to determine the culprit fairly quickly and I so wanted the characters to be better at solving the crime than I was.
The narrator, Stephanie Quinn, had a nice southern accent for the entire narration. She provided various different voices to distinguish the characters. I found listening to her to be very enjoyable.
This is the first book in the Lily Sprayberry series. Who would have thought a realtor who went to talk to an elderly client about selling her house would find her dead in the kitchen? And with an iron skillet at that! Full of Southern charm, a touch of romance, and all the fun of following an amateur sleuth! Can’t wait for Book 2!
A great cozy mystery. I loved this book. Most of the characters are realistic and funny. Some are downright scary. But the twists and turns were great. Always kept me guessing who did it. Great story from one of my favourite authors.
Great start to a new series! Realtor, Lily Sprayberry, finds her client murdered in her home and sets out to find the killer. The characters are lively and the book is well written. There are plenty of plot twists to keep things interesting. This was a very enjoyable read and I was kept guessing until the very end. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series.
I really enjoyed reading this book. I did know who did it early on but it was fun following Lily around to figure it out. Dylan and Belle are both awesome too. I’m hoping I will come to like Matt also but he’s not in this book much for me to form an opinion yet. It is always amazing how people act when money is involved. I look forward to reading more in this series. The only thing I didn’t like was I felt that everyone was older in the way they talked and acted then they actually are in the book. It’s not enough to dissuade me from reading more though. I’m now invest in this series.

Lily Sprayberry is a successful realtor. Right now she’s dealing with a difficult client, a property dispute, hidden money and murder. It impressed me that she made all the craziness look easy. She’s a sweet Southern bell but she has a backbone of steel. When Lily finds Myrtle’s body, she’s determined to find the person responsible. The Sheriff, Dylan Roberts, is her ex-boyfriend. The attraction is still there even though he left her. Their reaction to each other made me smile. The victim was a difficult person. She had many enemies and a few secrets. There were many twists that kept me guessing. I liked the characters with their sassy dialogue especially her BFF, Belle Pyott. This small town filled with quirky people added drama to the story. I like the writing style of Carolyn Ridder Aspenson. Her characters are original and her storylines fast paced. This is a great start to the Lily Sprayberry Realtor Cozy Mystery series. I can’t wait to see what happens next.
“She wasn’t the sweetest cookie on the tray, but she wasn’t the sourest apple in the bunch either. Either way, she didn’t deserve to die.”
And so was described Lilybit’s first dead body. That the second was not far behind wasn’t really a surprise, or not much of one. But that Lily’s listing was threatened by property line disputes and contestations of wills was something that she didn’t bargain for.
Then let’s talk about the Sheriff – Lily’s high school / college sweetheart. There’s a titch of romance in the air but Lily’s SO not going there again. Or maybe she is?
Carolyn Ridder Aspenson weaves a delightful tale. Filled with twists and turns to keep you on your toes, a few chuckles, and puppies, this is a book you are not going to want to miss! You’ll love it!

Loved this book! Lily is a realtor in the small town of Bramblett County, Georgia. She finds her elderly client murdered and the prime suspect seems to be the woman’s nephew. When he turns up dead, now she has to figure out if there are two killers or just one. Lots of suspects, a property line dispute, and a rumor about hidden money on the property make this an intriguing mystery. I loved the town and the characters. I have to say that the identity of the killer surprised me. I look forward to reading more of this series and seeing Lily and Dylan rekindle their romance!
