“I’m a virgin. And you need to relieve me of that.” What respectable guy could say no to that? Yeah, she was my best friend. But she was also the hottest chick I’d ever known. I thought it would be simple. I thought we’d have a good time, then pretend like it never happened. It turns out, I was an idiot. Now, she wants nothing to do with me, but I’m determined. I’ve spent the last five years … but I’m determined. I’ve spent the last five years without her and I refuse to waste another day. I have a solid plan. All of my figurative ducks are in a row. I’m going balls to the wall, and I’m not stopping until I win back the only girl I’ve ever loved.
Too bad for me, Devyn Summers was sitting on a secret that nothing could’ve prepared me for.
*Deal Breakers is filled with lots of laughs, a sexy romance, and an overflowing swear jar. It’s the first installment in the Dealing With Love series, but each one can be read as a standalone.

Riley McIntyre and Devyn Summers meet in college and become BFs. After “hooking up” prior to graduation, they go their separate ways. Until 5 years later when Riley sets out to bring Devyn back into his life again, which is easier than he expects but, oh, so much more than he anticipates.
This is a delightfully engaging romance with extremely appealing and well-drawn characters who share some pretty HOT, steamy passion. The narrative flows effortlessly, changing POV’s between the H & h, and the storyline is fast paced and entertaining, holding your interest from start to finish. Once you start, you will find it hard to put down. I highly recommend this very enjoyable read.
I love this slow burn story, riley and devyn make my heart ache, I wanted them so much to be together, they were perfect.
The passion, the intensity hooked me from the very first page
It was sexy and sweet and everything in between.
Just goes to prove that no matter where life takes you, love always prevails
Cant wait for book two!
Reagan west was a brilliant narrator, I didnt read the book first so relied on her to make the story come to life for me, for me to be able to feel all the hurt, love , angst and passion and she did that and much more.
3.5 stars.
Sweet story with steam. Riley and Devyn became friends in college, after four years they spend a night together. Five years later Riley moves to the west coast to find her again. When he does he has more than one surprise in store.
Really enjoyed.
I enjoyed reading this book. It took awhile for the characters to realize their future together. The male wanted so much the girl when she gave in and said the “L” word he freaked. Happy in the end.
Fairly predictable, awkwardly “quick paced” – one or two chapters for an entire year – and no real conflict or storyline. Stereotypical trashy romance. I am sure the women like this story, but no guy has ever “felt his dick twitch at the sound of her voice”. But the book was free, and was a very quick read.
I like when a book automatically sucks me in, unfortunately, that did not happen with this book. However, I did enjoy it once we got into the thick of the book. I also like how the author has dual POV with the main characters. She does a fabulous job of doing a male POV, in fact, I might have liked the book a bit more with it only in Riley’s view. I liked Devyn, but she just seemed kinda blah to me- but to be fair, she had a lot going on!
I did like one specific twist that is how they ended up reconnecting, I have to admit that my mouth dropped at that!
I did enjoy this book and I am looking forward to reading the next in the series! Laura did a great job setting up the story for the second book!
PS- I received this book for free in return of my honest opinion!
Laura Lee is a new to me author and this story was a nice introduction to her writing.
This book started out really strong. I was liking the storyline but I did feel that she gave in too fast. I know if this happened to me I’d make him beg a bit more.
The main MC’s had great chemistry and I loved Nathan. That boy stole my heart from the first words he spoke in the book. I’m digging in book two next and I can’t wait to see what happens with Brody and Rainey.
