I’m a big fan of British detectives. This has a whole new approach with its characters coming from all parts of UK society.
All three of the books were engrossing and fast-paced. I highly recommend any of the three to someone who enjoys a good mystery and wants to visit with friends more than once.
A well done use of a familiar character group. Kept my interest all the way. Some good plot lines. Mostly a fun read.
I loved these books and got the fourth and fifth book in the series. GREAT.
excellent mystery; good plots with interesting characters.
I had read the first in the series, and loved it, so I was very excited to see the 3 novels offered as a trilogy. It didn’t disappoint! The other two novels were just as exciting and funny and engaging!
Loved the book!
I really enjoyed this trio of books which take place in London. Our heroine works for the London Metropolitan Police and her boss is a titled aristocrat. It’s a classic opposites attract but the crimes they solve form the real plot action.
I plan to read the fourth book in the series soon.
Best British crime series I’ve read recently. The characters are as memorable as Agatha Christie’s. Well Done!
I purchased books one through three and after reading them I immediately ordered four and five. The stories move quickly and have personal and professional plots for the main characters. Wonderful light reading!
This is a really good series. The Star characters are wonderful people with normal emotions and problems in their personal lives. The mysteries are well done, and I’m looking forward to reading more of them.
Emma Jameson rates more — 4 ½ stars, but the third book was not as interesting to me as the first two. More, please
I like both the Black and Blue series and the Dr. Bones. They are entertaining, just a little funny and just a touch of romance. No foul language, sex or blood and guts.Love ’em.
