Enjoyable
I have read three of these and enjoy the historical flavor, esp the ” ads”.
A good read when I didn’t want to think too deep.

Fans of Anne Perry will enjoy reading this book.
Fun historical fiction series with interesting characters. Good cozy mystery for those who love historical fiction.
Good historical background to the mystery. I have read three others in this series now. You identify with the characters and how difficult a time it was to live in.
It’s a time period that I am attracted to. The characters grew on me – very interesting, bordering on complex. I found the portrayal of the printing/printers world very interesting. I’d read another.
I didn’t realize women were in the printing business in the 1800’s. It was very informative of the problems they encountered from their fellow workers as well as the general public. I loved the characters and their strong personalities.
I can’t wait to read the other books in this series. A great group of characters, kept the story going.
I great look into life in San Francisco in the late 19th century. Lots of information on the role of middle class women and the things they did and couldn’t do at that time. Love all of the books by this author.
Wonderful characters, good period piece. Engaging.
Interesting information on women’s employment opportunities in the Victorian age
Great series!
I Learned about early printing practices. It is always interesting to see how women were regarded in previous times and the customs that were practiced.
This series is entertaining, well written and most importantly, well edited. Interesting, likable characters with enough historical information about San Francisco to keep me engaged.
This is a great series wth memorable characters, historic looks at women, SF and the era. Have read many in the series and love each one
