A witch’s familiar is tasked with protecting London from the monsters that lurk in the shadows; the creatures that seek to unravel the fabric of things and send us all to hell.Mystery, horror, and fast-paced action collide in this thrilling urban fantasy series from the Uncanny Kingdom.Something is very wrong with Detective David Tyler. Something is changing him. Something immensely powerful, … immensely powerful, taking him over and transforming him into a walking apocalypse capable of destroying the whole of London. And the worst part? It’s all my fault. I messed with the dark arts, and now we’re all about to pay the price.
The city’s Uncanny are scared. They want David dealt with before he turns London into a smoking crater, and they’re ready to put him down like a dog to do it. I can’t let that happen. I got David into this mess, so it’s up to me to find some way to defuse him before he goes supernova. I’m Stella Familiar of the London Coven, and so long as I draw breath, no one is touching a hair on that man’s head.
The third exciting book in the London Coven urban fantasy series!
London Coven is a series from The Uncanny Kingdom Urban Fantasy Universe.

I loved this book, in fact I loved the whole series and I just hope there is a lot more books to come. There was so much going on, with this book that it sure takes you on a magical adventure. The characters are what makes it so great from the witty banter to always doing what is right, well nearly always right, to even the two bouncers repeating each other’s sentences it all works well together. It is a good combination of magic, mystery and suspense and In my opinion made for tv.
In trying to help David, Stella a witches familiar and the last protection London has against evil, has unleashed a ticking time bomb. Somehow normal Police Detective David has magic growing inside him, black magic, magic that will literally kill him and destroy London. The rest of the uncanny can sense the change and power in him and turn against Stella in her effects to save him. At the same time a monster is killing people by draining them dry. Can Stella find a killer as well as save her friends life? With her witches dead who can she turn to in her time of need? Another familiar who with no coven of her own to help wanders from city to city stopping at all the pubs along the way? In this crisis Stella will take all the help she can get, anything so she won’t have to be the one to end David’s life.
I really like the narrator. I might even leave my normal genre of book if I know she is reading it because as I have discovered she can transport you anywhere for a few hours and I love getting lost in a good book.

Deadly Portant
I’ve liked David’s sarcastic wit throughout these book but I love Eva familiar, several times in this story she’s had me chuckling even as the pressure on Stella increases, can she do what apparently needs to be done regarding David? Another fantastic story full of drama and excitement that kept me on the edge of my seat and left me wanting more, please tell me there’s more!
As well as seeking out more work by these authors I’ll definitely be looking at what else this narrator has done because she is brilliant.
Likeable characters and engaging plot. Like the story dynamics. Stella is a role model to the other familiar. She’s loyal to her friend David refusing to do what others want her to. She realizes that her feelings have been developing for others. She takes her role as protector seriously.
The team is back trying to resolve more supernatural deaths while trying to protect one of their own. I really enjoyed the addition of Eva Familiar and all of her wit and sarcasm. The story is fast paced with plenty of action and mystery. The narrator once again did a fantastic job with providing unique voices for each character and appropriate tone inflections for each scene! Stella Familiar and Detective David Tyler are back for another case, a month after their battle with the monster from the Nightmare Realm and a warning from the Knot Man. They meet Eva Familiar under inauspicious circumstances, and she, too, can see magic bouncing around in David, fizzing around in him like a fireworks display, building up minute by minute. Could this be a consequence of having been possessed by Mr. Trick, and by the forbidden black magic Stella had used to save his life? A desiccated corpse, an unfriendly visit to Anya at The Den, who assures them it was NOT a succubus, no matter how similar the condition of the corpse to a succubus feeding frenzy. Another corpse, and a succubus is certainly responsible. Some time travel caused by David as blowback from a huge brawl at The Beehive as the Uncanny customers decide to end David’s threat to London by killing him. Things then get really intense as the Uncanny Kingdom is unanimous that David must die to avoid all of London being atomized. Stella is determined to save David and prevent his inevitable blow-up. She’s up against impossible odds, with no help in sight. Is a lowly familiar up to the task? Fast-paced, intense action, lots of outrageous dialog, interesting characters (many we’ve met in Nightmare Realm: An Uncanny Kingdom Urban Fantasy (The London Coven Series Book 2) and Familiar Magic: An Uncanny Kingdom Urban Fantasy (The London Coven Series Book 1) ), inventive storyline. I could hardly put it down for the last hundred pages.
Each book gets better and better! I am enjoying this series very much. I can hardly wait for the next one!
