“Chris Patchell’s debut novel, DEADLY LIES, is a taut, fast-paced thriller that grabs you from the start and doesn’t let go. Patchell is a master storyteller with a real talent for creating pulse-pounding suspense.” ~ Kevin O’Brien, New York Times Bestselling Author of TELL ME YOU’RE SORRY

Great Book! Loved that the great twists/dramas came before the last page and even before the last chapter. Couldn’t put it down! Wasn’t crazy bout all the ‘F’ bombs dropped but that’s the standard of the day in a work like this I suppose.
One of the 2 engaging reads this week… good story… enjoyed thoroughly…
Unless you like lots of illicit sex described as a crime novel, don’t bother. Not my cup of tea. If you are going to have sex put it into a framework that has some meaning….see Outlander.
Excellent book, characters were really developed and it was a new story-line that was very interesting. Well written and easy to read/follow. Overall great book.
The story was intriguing. A very quick read, simple to digest but kept me reading every spare moment.
As several other reviewers have said, I really wanted to like this book; I did. I just couldn’t. Number one, the language is atrocious. I’m not talking a little profanity here; I’m talking gutter trash language and it is totally unnecessary. The author doesn’t even have the cop-out of saying “that’s the way this type person talks (usually the …
I have so many mixed emotions on this story. I am torn between who should be left together and the outcome when the end comes. The ending is great but shocking, I still can’t help but think things could have been different if she could have gotten the help she needed. It is truly a shocking story of a young girl who was abused by the one who …
This should be a movie.
I liked this author and the book enough to pick up another by him. “Deadly Lies” had a good plot and was interesting to read,
A great read!! This book kept me guessing all the way to the end.
Good read
Good read, but the main character’s sudden lapse into stone-cold killer didn’t float well. Why would she wait 30 years and then be able to kill people without remorse? The ending was obvious about two thirds of the way through.
Well written otherwise and a decent read.
Good read. Surprising ending
I gave up a few chapters in. I couldn’t get interested enough to want to pick it up and read more.
Interesting story….for the most part I enjoyed the read……Try it.
For anytime you think, “how could someone do that?” this gets you into the heads of some people who do. The kind of creepy that stays with you for a while.
Characters were not well developed. There was not enough written about the thought processes of the main characters. Relationships were not well defined so I felt like I never knew where they stood. I found the story line to be implausible.
I had a love hate relationship with this book. I wanted to put it down. I would, then had to pick it back up again. It is so real, so pongiant, so horrifying.
This book kept me entertained with a lot of action and twists. Quite the surprising ending, not sure if I liked how it ended, hmmm.
Definitely don’t recommend this book. Characters are flat and unlikable. Story line is spoon-fed leaving nothing between the lines for reader to discover.
