Wonderful cosy mystery
Surprise ending.
Average cozy
I liked the characters and the twists and turns.
Reads like a high school fiction project. I was glad it was only a little over an hour long. Otherwise I would have just quit after a few chapters. I was convinced it couldn’t get worse, but it did.
a delightful cozy! amusing characters. a fabulously fun read.
Gripping and good
This is a very original, easy reading, quick cozy mystery. It’s many twists and turns had me wondering ‘whodunnit’ till the end. I really liked the characters. It’s a wonderful storyline with am ending that surprised me. It’s very fast paced, enjoyable. entertaining, fun read.
I didn’t finish the book but skipped to the end, as nonrelenting trouble isn’t entertaining to me. On the positive side, it appears to resolve satisfactorily without the annoyance of having to get the rest of the series, was refreshingly clean, the storyline would have been appealing if a few triumphs had been thrown in, and the portion I read was empty of typos.
Unemployed Journalist, Doris Cudlow, gets an invitation to her ex-husband’s wedding. At the wedding, the bride disappears and only reappears when she turns up dead on the beach. The groom is accused. With help from her nosey neighbor, Doris, she looks for the killer after she thinks the police are looking in the wrong place. This is a different kind of mystery and fun to read.
This is a 1st in a new cozy mystery series by N.C. Lewis. It’s set in a small seaside village in England about a newly divorced woman who moved there for a job as a journalist at the local newspaper. Of course a murder occurs and she’s one of the suspects. The writer does a great job of building up the characters and plotting out the story with plenty of twists and turns to keep you guessing until the end. Looking forward to reading more books in the series!
