Deadly Alliance is a crossover of Fortis and Purgatory. I haven’t read any of the Purgatory books but I’ve read a few Fortis books and loved them. They are action packed, with a tight knit team who all have awesome skills. This has the same vibe. There’s also always a love story, and this time it’s Emme and Shane. They are from opposite ends of the world but are together to bring down a bad guy. Of course posing as a married couple will bring two people together, and add in some serious attraction and you get fireworks! This book was fast paced, suspenseful, and sometimes shocking. I wonder where the author will lead us all next?
Wow this novel is absolutely fantastic and definitely worth reading both authors done an amazing job!! I was drawn in right from the get go with all the mystery, action and suspense it kept me gripping the edge of my seat and when i completed it certainly left me wanting more. It took me on an emotional rollercoaster one i didn’t want to get off i was just so captivated by the story it left me thirsty for more!

“Life is a risk. It’s pain and love and sorrow, all mixed up. Just don’t add your own regrets into the mix, that would only be living death.”
I absolutely loved the conglomerate style of these authors. The two series flowed so well together it was seamless and felt like the series had always been intended to be this way…maybe it did and us readers just didn’t know the surprise we were in for.
“Anger burrowed under her skin. She knew that look, he thought she couldn’t do it, that because she smiled and liked people, she couldn’t be a warrior. That was okay, she was used to sexist jerks, had been brought up by one and it was not him she had to impress.”
This book has it ALL! There is action, mystery, fear, regret, redemption, chemistry, heartache, self doubt, alpha tendencies, tears, uncertainty, hope…
“This warrior may have been one of the most dangerous individuals in the world, but when he was like this, touching her as if he was made of glass, like butterfly wings touching her body, he was simply lethal.”
This book kept you on the edge of your seat. I was angry one minute, swooning the next and holding my breath the next moment. Your emotions will be all over the board, but I guarantee it is worth the ride. I hope this isn’t the end of these authors working together.
“Losing her would kill him, so the only way to protect them both was to walk away before they got any deeper.”
Deadly Alliance is a crossover novel, bridging Maddie Wade’s Fortis Security series and India Kells’ Women of Purgatory series. I have read every single book in both of these series! I have been a convert ever since I finished the first book, if I remember correct then I read India Kells’ series first and then stumbled onto Maddie Wade and her Fortis Security series and the rest is a history … I keep track of the new releases in my Google calendar ….
We have Shane Rhodes from the Fortis team and Emme Wallace from Purgatory team and they end up going undercover as a married couple to take down a serial killer. One of the victims is Shane’s best friend’s little sister so you can imagine what it all means to him! It is amazing how these two writers have been able to merge their writing styles to create one mind-blowing story willed with action, twists, laughter and tears … At no point was I able to say who had written what part …. I hope that there will be some more crossovers as this one has left at least me panting for more!

Deadly Alliance : A Fortis/Purgatory Crossover Novel by Maddie Wade and India Kells is a pretty amazing crossover book. Both of these authors by themselves are amazing but put them together and Holy Cow! There are some twists and turns that had me on the edge of my seat and even had me shaking my head at one moment. I love the characters and this story just flowed smoothly. Get ready to be taken on the journey of Shane and Emma. Find out if these two can have a relationship or are they better off as friends? I highly recommend reading this Book. I can’t wait to see what is next.
Deadly Alliance: A Fortis/Purgatory Crossover Novel, by Maddie Wade and India Kells, is the best of two romantic suspense series. Each of these series shine in this genre on their own, combined it creates a high thrill story full of drama, danger and some heavy romantic interludes. Very strong personalities are present in this story, that work well together. There is certainly some tension as the characters from the two separate series come together, but what else would you anticipate with them. The plot of this story was well done and I loved the flow, character development and the possibility of what more is to come from these two authors. A great suspenseful read for anyone who loves romance with some drama/adventure added into the mix.
This book had me from the start and the challenges was quite creative with spectacular and stupifying scenes that couldn’t put down.
The book is a suspenseful story that is intriguing and intense. Characters are strong and engaging. I appreciate reading this book.
A serial killer is stalking victims in both the US and UK militaries, so it takes not one but two private security firms. A wounded warrior with a personal stake from one and a young agent out to prove herself from the other.
This story is an excellent blend of action/adventure and romance, with a frantic hunt for the serial killer on one hand and the growing attraction between our two main characters on the other. The story is very well written and keeps the reader guessing just like the teams in the book. I really liked Emme, our heroine, as she definitely grew in confidence and proved herself well during the course of the story.
My only issue with the book was that I needed a scorecard to keep all the characters straight. Each company provided a team of a half-dozen operatives and I found it impossible to remember who was who, but since they were all good guys, it didn’t matter overly much. It was still a very entertaining read.
Highly recommended.

Deadly Alliance by Maddie Wade and India Kells is a Fortis/Purgatory crossover novel. This is a great combining of authors who, both in their own right, are authors I would happily read every time.
Each of these series have been good reads and this crossover works so well. The way the characters are worked in together was brilliant. You could see each of the different authors styles but you could also see the compatibility between the two.
Although I did find the main storyline to be a little bit obvious I still liked how fast paced the book was and how it still managed to keep my attention. I still found myself engaging with the characters and looking forward to what would happen next.
This is a great collaboration that I hope we see more of in the future.
If you like a page turning, suspense filled book with romance, this is the book for you.
This was a quick read full of suspense and action. It’s told in 3rd person and it is a wonderful meshing of two fantastic series. I’ve read most of each series and it is my opinion that you can read this crossover even if you have not.
Even though this is a collaboration between two authors, it is written seamlessly. Had I not know I would not have guessed there are two different narrators to the story.
I appreciate that there are strong alpha females who are equal partners to their male counterparts.
I absolutely recommend this story.
Deadly Alliance is a co-written romantic suspense novella by Maddie Wade and India Kells. Fortis, a British Security Agency which was mostly integrated by former special forces individuals, and Purgatory, an American elite agency integrated by mostly former special forces individuals, combined forces to catch a serial killer who is fixated on murdering active female military members on both American and British soil. Emme Wallace from Fortis and Shane Rhodes from Purgatory posed as a newly married couple in Heathrow, UK to lure the obsessive killer out of hiding bringing about extraordinary team work in which both agencies showed what they are made of. Emme and Shane must fight and embrace their romantic feelings for each other as safety and time is running out of hand. I was impressed by the Fortis leader, Zack Cunningham’s amazing handling of his team and the situations.

This story completely drew me in and I was surprised and shocked over a few things that happened. This is a great meeting of these two agencies. I have never read the Purgatory Series but I have spent many a lovely evenings with Fortis Security. Meshing these two together is so seamless. It’s like they have been together all along. I certainly didn’t feel like I was reading two different stories.
It was nice meeting some new characters and seeing how they interact with each other. I get to hang out with some old favorites as well. The story moved along and I never got bored. There was excitement, some thrills, some wit and sass banter.
Doing this was a brilliant idea and hopefully (please *grin*) a new spin off will result. perfect title as well!!! I love reading each of these authors and blending them together just about made my day. After hanging out with Bea and her crew I need to check out the Purgatory series.
There are two groups on the opposite sides of the world. They are both very secret groups. They will have to work together to solve the murders.and they may have a hard job ahead of them. Will they find them? See what will happen

Deadly Alliance: A Fortis/Purgatory Crossover Novel by Maddie Wade and India Kells is a fantastic read. This book is a crossover of two series: Fortis and Purgatory by Wade and Kells. I was not familiar with either series but this drew me in and I did not want to put it down. Purgatory and Fortis are both groups of former elite military and security forces that are out to catch a serial killer. Purgatory is mainly made up of Navy Seals while Fortis is British operations. The characters were well described and each had their own personality. There is always a bit of strife when you bring different teams together but they all remembered they have a mission. There is romance, action, intrigue, and some twists and turns. I stayed up late to finish reading because I had been drawn in and did not want to put it down and wait to see what happened next. I will be looking to pick up other books from these authors in the future.
Deadly Alliance is a Fortis/Purgatory Crossover written by Maddie Wade and India Kells. I have not read the Women of Purgatory by India Kells but I definitely want to get to know them now. I have read the Fortis Security stories and loved them, this crossover is no different. Emme is a strong female lead and Shane is just like the other men. The attraction between the two is instant followed closely by annoyance and irritation. Shane doesn’t believe Emme can/should fulfill the mission. Can she prove him wrong?

I absolutely loved Deadly Alliance: A Fortis/ Purgatory Crossover Novel by Maddie Wade & India Kells! I love these authors individually, but they are absolutely phenomenal together! This book took me on a roller coaster ride of emotions which kept me engaged the whole way through. This book was intense, suspenseful, detailed, intriguing, steamy and action-packed.
I had previously read the Fortis series but hadn’t read any books from the Women of Purgatory series by India Kells, yet I found it very easy to follow along. There was plenty of backstory and character introduction that made it super easy to jump right in.
These characters are so strong and inspirational, and I always enjoy reading their journeys. I will absolutely be diving into the India Kells series as soon as I can. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for their next suspenseful read!
Deadly Alliance: A Fortis/Purgatory Crossover Novel by Maddie Wade and India Kells was a fast pace, heart pounding thriller that had me hooked from start to finish.
Not my first read by either author, and it may have been the reason I snatched this book up. Cause both authors on their own are pretty amazing, so there was no way I was passing up on this collaboration. I wasn’t disappointed and very much enjoyed this engaging thriller.
So lets be real, again I find myself wondering if I’m being biased or not. This has to due with Emma, and how young she is, not so much that is is a young woman, but that it’s brought up, a lot, way more then needs to be. And the whole innocent thing, that was another thing that irked me. She’s a grown asss woman, there’s noting innocent about her. Especially considering she joined Frotis, they’re aren’t exactly saints. I believe I said this before, but unless you’re a child or an animal, you an’t innocent.
Okay rant over.
Overall this book was pretty good. It was action packed, heart racing and steamy. What I liked the most was the hunt for the serial killer. It added that intense mystery to the very intense romance. But I will say, having Emma as the “baite” made for a bit of a predictable storyline. Especially with Shane still in recovery about his friends sisters death. So yeah, saw that coming, but because of was smooth, quick fire writing, I was kept engaged, my eyes were kept glued to the pages, and I was kept in the story. I want to stress this, that though yes, you’re going to guess the outcome pretty quick, but the writing is so good that you can’t look away. That and the characters are just a delight to read about. Not just the MC’s but all the characters.
This book is a must read if you’re a fan of these authors, even if you’re not, this story is worth your time. No worries if you think you’re going to get lost, it’s kind of a side story so you can read it like a standalone. That and you’re giving enough info that it feels like this is a start of a series, not a one off. Believe me when I say, you are going to be glued to this book. It has this Criminal Minds/John Wick feel that just keeps you captured.
So please, take my high recommendation and my stamp of approval, that you will get lots in these dangerous pages.
Happy Reading

Deadly Alliance: A Fortis/Purgatory Crossover Novel By Maddie Wade and India Kells. This book is what crossovers are made of, from page one I knew I’d be completely useless to the outside world until I finished. I couldn’t or should I say wouldn’t put it down until the end, I was completely drawn into this story filled with action, mystery and suspense. These two worlds fit together so seamlessly Shane And Emme are characters you can completely relate to and feel for. The authors do a wonderful job of writing a story you sink into and forget at times your reading a story and not loving the life within the pages. There’s plenty of twists and turns that keep you guessing and on the edge of your seat. It’s well written and paced nicely. I’m giving this book a five star review only because I can’t give any higher, but I wish I could! Highly recommend this book!
