My life is about the story.I’ve risked my life for it.Many times.I chase the story so I can escape having to face my own.But this one is different. This story will make my career. My life.Or it will end it.The Sons of Templar MC. The most notorious and dangerous outlaw motorcycle club in the country. And I’m going to get the scoop.Or I’ll die trying.
This is the seventh book in the Sons of Templar series and if you’ve read the previous books you’ve already met Jagger. I thought I was prepared for his story…I really wasn’t.
Deadline To Damnation is Jagger and Caroline’s story and what a story it is. I went into this book blind and I highly recommend doing so. I was very quick to like Caroline. She’s unbelievably strong not to mention resilient and I developed quite the crush on her. The past she shares with Jagger isn’t all sunshine and rainbows and it’s definitely shaped her into who she is today. Both characters are damaged, they‘ve done what they thought was best for them and they’ve both missed out on so much that sometimes it’s heartbreaking to read. The emotion pours from the pages, it’s so easy to put yourself in their place and my heart ached for both Jagger but especially Caroline. She straight up amazed me with her never give up attitude.
This book has some darker parts in it that may not be for everyone but are relevant to the story. It’s packed with angst and so many emotions. Jagger and Caroline’s story isn’t an easy one and I think that’s what had me so invested in them.
I love this series but Deadline to Damnation is without a doubt my favourite. This book is everything.
This book truly has all the feels. Anger, lust, agony. Anne Malcom has a way of writing that reaches in and grabs all the emotions and then rips them out. There aren’t many authors that can bring me to tears in almost every book written, but she has. And this one is no exception.
“…dead men didn’t talk.
It turned out they did.
And they killed too.
Without hesitation.”
Caroline is one of the strongest female lead characters I have read in a long time. She hasn’t let the events of her life bury her, she’s used them to make her stronger. Jagger is running from a past that he doesn’t think he can return to, until he sees her again. A haunting story of a true, pure love that was all it dead and buried. But now it’s resurrected. And explosive. You won’t want to put this book down!
This series has captured me from the first install with Cade and each book after has made me feel the character and the parts Anne puts in of herself. Each of the characters of this series has a story a background and brokenness that brings all the feels to the table and each book leaving you full of love, sadness and a sense of joy that they found their way. Jagger has always been an enigma of sorts, I never thought his story would break me the way Lucky’s or Gage’s did, but I have definitely been broken.
Anne always make her characters fight for their outcome and show their darkest sides. Jagger and Caroline fought hard. Their truths came out in ways you never thought they could survive together let alone by themselves. This is one of the reasons I love reading Anne and every book she writes, she brings all the feels to the table, I have never walked away without a book hangover and this one is still giving me goosebumps.
I can never express how much I love Anne’s books. When I read them or any book you always have your leading characters that make up the story, but I feel with Anne’s books the supporting ones also seem like leading characters also.
The Supporting people in the books are just as important to the story in a good book and when the author brings them in from her other books, PERFECTION!!! D2D has them all in here from the series and I just loved how the story came together. So if you have not read the SOT books, you need to read them all and preferrably in order.
Jagger and Caroline’s story is just ad tough as the others. So much heartache but so much love that has lasted over the years and through heartbreak. Sometimes we need to go through hell to find our inner peace with life and that one person who is willing to fight for what they want.
Again Anne has touched me with this story as much as Broken Shelves did. She is a true artist when it comes to her books and you can see the hard work she puts into them.
Everyone had an ugly past, you don’t meet the SOT without that warning.
This book was unlike no other, so don’t be expecting all sunshine and rainbows.
This is Jagger and Caroline Story!
Fair warning: Just know that there Story isn’t an easy one.
The storytelling in this book was really up there but it’s also heartbreaking as well.
It’s raw, brutal but it’s so beautiful. Some of the events that take part in this book will rip your heart out and pull at the heart strings.
Just know that this book is so much more then a MC novel, it’s also about brotherhood, tragedy, secrets, second chances, forgiveness and love.
Jagger story is tragic and from the moment we met him in outside the lines I wanted to know more about the man with the scar on his face. His story is full of hate, regret and pain.
You will fall in love with Caroline, she is smart, sassy, fierce, calm and collected but most of all strong. This woman life has been filled with pain and hurt over the years. Caroline is the type of women who is so independent is the type of person I wish I was or aspire to be.
I loved getting to see all the other characters from the Amber chapter come together. I really missed them.
This book will bring you on a roller coaster ride of emotions, it will also bring out the emotional side to you. So have your tissues handy.
Get ready to watch two damaged people fight to be each other’s damnation.
Hands down to anne! What an amazing job you have done here. Jagger and Caroline story couldn’t have been written or told any better.
Heartbreaking and Healing!
A Promise He Will Never Break
Again! She did it again! Anne Malcom has a talent for writing deep, emotional, and painful relationships that bring us to our knees. She has, again, accomplished her goal of tearing out our hearts while stitching them back together, in her 7th novel in the Sons of Templar series, Deadline to Damnation.
I believe that Anne has been given a very special gift and has selflessly shared it with us, as she uses her mind and her words to reflect to us that scars run deep, and can be ugly and beautiful at the same time.
I know I can not give proper justice to the Queen, but allow me to provide you with a snippet of what I believe is one of the most important reasons you should read this series and EVERYTHING Anne Malcom writes!
“Every moment here gets me closer to the deadline. Or damnation. I’m not sure which will come first.”
Anne Malcom continues to wow!! I’m once again in awe her talent. Jagger and Peaches (Liam and Caroline) come together after years of mourning. War has come to the Sons of Templar. Lots of blood and tears shed before the epilogue! Must read!!
Deadline to Damnation by Anne Malcom
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
“It was with that realization that I jerked from my stupor and flailed out of his arms like his touch was acid to my skin.
It was.
It was acid to my soul.”
If you thought you couldn’t love the Sons of Templar more, just wait, because Deadline to Damnation will have you carving a new name into your heart.
I am entirely blown away after reading this book! As a die hard Sons of Templar fan, I knew I just had to have the next installment in the series, and Author Anne Malcom gives us some of her best writing yet in Deadline to Damnation! It’s intense, complex, and utterly addicting. An absolutely sinfully good and must-have read, Deadline to Damnation by Anne Malcom will leave you stunned and begging for more.
From the first pages, I was undeniably hooked, and completely enthralled with this story. Expect to be all-consumed, entirely captivated, and reading from start to finish. This book had me laughing out loud, swooning hard, while feeling totally conflicted. Deadline to Damnation will have you jaw dropping, heart-stopping, and feeling EVERYTHING. Through Anne’s words you feel the struggle, the pull, and all of the angst. Experience the possessive, protectiveness you can only get from a member of the Sons, and of course a heroine who can save her own f*cking self by one-clicking Deadline to Damnation today! Enjoy xo
I love to read. Largely because I love books more than I like people. The other reason is that books kept me alive in both a literal and figurative sense. I loved it so much that I pursued a degree in it despite knowing that a degree in a STEM-related field or future career would be more beneficial. When asked why it was an easy answer. It was because I know that the humanities; Art, Music, Theater, and Literature are the things that ensure humanity stays human. It connects our mind, body and soul. This book, hell this whole series, is an example of that.
I am always floored by an author that can make something tainted with so much darkness and yet polish it to its utmost beauty. This book reminded me that even with constant despair surrounding us, (current times throughout the world and especially in the United States) that there is still hope. These characters and their stories both separate, collectively, and as a club show that not everything is black or white. Sometimes darkness has a purpose.
This wasn’t an easy story not that any have been in this series. Yet, there was something to Jagger and Caroline that spoke to my heart. Jagger, as strong as he was also was plagued with guilt and demons. He lost part of himself and I wasn’t sure he was going to get it back. Caroline. This might be one of my favorite characters to date because while fearless still was so fearful. She was betrayed. Yet, she risked everything to try and learn from the pain that she felt. I cheered for her successes and felt sad when she faced doubts. For both of these characters, they knew what it felt like to have lost love.
The book made me question a lot of things. Her style was impeccable as always and brought many emotions into play. She tied up all the loose string from this series and ended it with some pretty amazing cameos and insights from former characters. This made my heart do a happy dance and it also made me tear up. It also made me posit whether the fairytales that we grew up on were more harmful than realistic. I always grew up with this notion that it needed to fit into this perfect image but maybe I had it wrong all this time. Maybe, something needs to be broken first in order to truly appreciate what happily ever after should mean. I’d like to think that because if it was perfect then how boring would that be. It wouldn’t show the scars or tears, both happy and sad, nor would it show the resilience it took to become whole.
I think that is what I am going to take away from both this author and this amazing book. Even in damnation there is a chance of redemption.
Deadline to Damnation is the seventh book in Anne Malcom’s amazing Sons of Templar series and let me tell you the emotions run strong in this one. There were so many moments that broke me and then put me together again. I seriously cried through most of this book and it is probably my favorite of the entire series.
This book can be read as a standalone however you will the characters of previous books so if you want the full effect, you can read them all and I can assure you that you won’t be disappointed.
This is Jagger story and holy mother I have been waiting on this book for what seems like forever! His story is not easy actually it is heartbreaking, especially learning the details but he is now one of my favorite alphas.
Caroline is the epitome of strength, her life is not easy either but she refuses to let it hold her down and I loved that about her. These two together tho…be still my heart!
I will absolutely be recommending this book to all my MC loving friends!
Once again, it did not disappoint. Kept me on the edge of my seat, had me gasping in surprise, laughing, crying, the gamut of emotions were run. The surprise of Jagger”s real identity and who and how it was found out was done well.
Caroline is definitely made to be tough, definitely Old Lady material. She is a seasoned reporter, one who has been all over the world, covered wars, and the nitty gritty of life abroad. Stories that nobody else has the guts to do.
Jagger is a man who left his previous life and love behind him. His family thinks he’s dead and in a way he is. The work he did for the government did just that, kill the man he used to be. Now his life is that of an outlaw(at times) biker in one of the most feared clubs.
There is a war brewing, one that began with the kidnapping of the President of the club’s sister. It peaked with the massacre of a whole chapter. The man they seek is a human trafficker of the worst kind, he has everyone who can be bought in his pockets. The Sons and their wives, families gear up for this war, knowing some may not return to their families. But in true Sons fashion there is no shortage of action. This was the first MC series I read and continues to be one of my favorites.
This book is the perfect continuation of the Sons of Templar series. You need to have read the Hollow Hearts novella but we are no longer with the Amber chapter of the club, instead we are in New Mexico with a chapter that recently lost all their members but one. This is a second chance romance with a real difference. Jagger and Caroline are both very difficult but engaging characters. This book is very dark and full of angst and suspense but it is incredibly engaging and probably my favourite read of the year so far. It is one of those books that this author is so good at writing; pulling emotions out of the reader. I have cried, been angry and been elated all while reading this book. It is beautifully complex and nuanced in its character development. The plot is great at pulling you in and very well paced to keep you engaged the whole way through. This book is arguably darker than others in the series as we are now with a club at war with a very dangerous enemy. This book is going to rearrange your soul in all the best ways as you read it.
If I could give this more than five stars I would. It is a brilliant read. I really recommend it.
This is a fabulous story! The Sons were my introduction to Anne and I’ve loved them since I met them. This book just added to that love. The story is gritty and raw and made me want to reach in and wrap my arms around everyone. I cannot adequately express the depths of emotion it contains and how it made me feel. Your life will be richer from reading this book as mine now is.
“Fate was a notion held by people who didn’t have the courage to drive their own lives.”
If I could give this book 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 stars I would. Jagger and Caroline’s love story is one that is brutally painful, while at the same time beautiful. 2 lost souls who find each other after years apart. 2 lost souls who have the courage to go on with their lives through pain and tragedy, then to have the courage to come back together. To watch their story unfold was amazing.
Every time I read a SOT book, I think, this ONE is the best. Well I think this one is the BEST. Can’t wait to see where the next book takes me.
Once again Anne Malcolm has published a master piece of words that no review can give the proper justice to.
Jagger and Caroline’s story is a journey of discovery littered with heartbreak. Anne surprised me because I didn’t expect the storyline at all but oh my goodness it was so good and just perfect. Broken hearts broken pasts broken trust. Every event in our life shapes us, decisions we make have consequences some we can’t go back on. When the past and ghosts come knocking what path do you take. War is looming but who’s going to be left standing at the end.
Tumultuous! Heart wrenching and immensely adored! ‘Deadline to Damnation’ is Anne Malcom’s 7th Sons of Templar book. It’s also the one I’ve lingered to read more so than any of the others. Why you ask? Because I’ve loved these characters, cried for them, forgiven a few and looked for some to jump off the page and enter real life. I never want this story to end. They’ve each became part of a crazy dysfunctional family that my imagination chooses to visualize and keep near and dear.
Ms. Malcom’s writing is full of angst, raw and dark. Yet, she is one of the author’s whose books I yearn to read, no, devour. Her character’s are all flawed just as real humans are, they cry, die, lie and persevere. They challenge the way we see an MC story unfolding. Each character lives two lives. The one beneath the kut and the one that lead them to wear it. Her words aren’t pretty but eloquent. Their stories are meant to rip your heart out. But, they also teach the reader what it means to be loyal, hard but soft, dangerous yet gentle all wrapped up in a leather package. It’s deadly to open the story and witness their mistakes, hear the pain and fear they deliver and listen to them try to build a life surrounded by loyalty to a family built on blood, sweat and tears.
Jagger lived two lives by his own hand. One was innocent born of a young idealistic man; the other bound to a reaper that both saved and stole his life after war. Most times life isn’t pretty. It’s dirty, its hard, unforgiving and messy but its life. Jagger hated the life he choose but embraced the brotherhood that saved him.
“I knew better than anyone how cheap life was in war. No, even in times of peace, life was cheap. In times of war life was worth nothing, death was worth only a little more, as markers in a score book that no one would be considered a victor in.”
Caroline faced death every day. Her heart was shredded young. She choose to replay death on a daily business to anesthetize herself from the loss, from the pain of remembering what could have been. Taking a walk into the Sons of Templar world was supposed to be her expose on the life of being in a motorcycle club. The life of a one percenter MC ;with clubs all throughout the US. She wanted to immerse herself in their life to be able to bring their story to light for the masses. Who took them at face value and only saw them as low life criminals feeding off the good people of the world. She soon learned that it wasn’t that simple. Its too easy to judge. She was made to bare witness to unspeakable crimes yet nothing was as she thought or would believe again. Hearing his voice brought the past, present and future screeching to a halt. Nothing was as it seemed. She needed to make sense of something you couldn’t make sense of.
“I’ve seen a lot of men in charge of armies, militias, street gangs, prisons. Almost all of them turn rotten. The cliche that absolute power corrupts absolutely is a cliche for a reason. Not many men stay good when they’re given a title. Power. When they’re in charge of life and death. I just think it needs to be acknowledged that you’ve stayed decent. Through things that would’ve turned a of other men rotten.”
Their story is tumultuous, heartbreaking, but real. Ms. Malcom’s ability to create characters so realistic draws you into her story so much so that you want to patch into their club. Fight their enemies, meet their families and make sense of their choices. She engages all your senses. You see their strife, feel their pain, bear witness to their anger and tingle with their physical connections.
“Fate was a notion held by people who didn’t have the courage to drive their own lives.”
Wouldn’t you say that most of us also take a backseat to our lives? This book will have you rethinking your simple life choices. Searching for our own drive to inspire the changes you wish to make. Then just maybe allow you to take away the possibility that judging a book by its cover never allows you to see the beauty behind the mask.
“In love, babe, nothing’s unforgivable, that the ugly truth of it”
There are so many things to be said about Deadline to Damnation…. so many layers, so much angst & heartbreak & so much love & hope. Jagger (Liam) & Caroline’s story was not a pretty one..the baggage these two have been carrying around, living with was unimaginable. The deep feelings of loss and grief that are so present throughout this book; had me literally sobbing. When your past returns…how do you even begin to forgive? Move forward? When that past is nothing like you remembered?
There is a definite sense of foreboding throughout this book to the even bigger reality of a war brewing with one of the most viscous enemies The Sons of Templar have ever faced. A war they will fight together as the brotherhood that we have grown to know and love. You get to catch up with some favorites…make some new ones and brace yourself for the outcome of this war.
This book broke me..& the honesty in which Anne Malcom tells this story will have you feeling every .single. word. Deadline to Damnation was dark, brutally honest, heart breakingly beautiful..just everything. I don’t want to give anything away so I will just tell you to read this book. It’s so so worth it! && I cannot wait to find out where we go next with the Sons of Templar

Nobody and I mean nobody does MC like Anne! I loved everything about this book. I couldn’t stop reading this! Anne keeps you on your toes from start to finish. Bonus she threw in all my old favorites and gave them a POV also!
Another fantastic and seriously an edge of your seat addition to the Sons of Templar MC series.
Like in many of Anne Malcom’s books, this one is not an easy story, it is an emotional and gut-wrenching journey that pulls you in from the very beginning. Both Caroline and Jagger are damaged souls with each having a tragic past that has made them the way they are now. Both have lived in darkness for so long, they even seek it, but once together the absolute love they have for each other becomes undeniable.
Their story kept me on pins and needles, not only the anticipation of what was happening and what was going to happen between Caroline and Jagger, but also to everyone in the Sons of Templar. There was a battle coming and the anxiety of the outcome kept me on-edge for a majority of the book.
What I absolutely loved was to see all those characters from the previous books, especially the strong, bada$$ women! You definitely see their impact in the lives of these violent and dangerous men.
Anne Malcom continues to captivate me with the books she writes, even with some of the darkness that are portrayed in her stories, in the end healing and love results and makes it all worth it. Deadline to Damnation has all that in spades.
I thoroughly enjoyed this 5 Star book. It can be read as a standalone book, however you may find yourself not being able to stop from reading the other books in this series to devour them all. The writing is phenomenal the characters complex and captivating. The raw devastation of these characters has you feeling extreme emotions from loss, heartache, betrayal anger frustration lust and love. A journey of many couples trauma and destruction through the decisions made when you feel trapped and scared. Caroline was a lost soul who was constantly searching and living on the wild edges of life in constant danger, as she felt cold and alone and needed to protect herself from feelings. One day in a dark alley was all it took to shake this broken wowan to her core, the day she sore the ghost of her past come to life. I can’t recommend this book highly enough. A must read.
