My life is about the story.I’ve risked my life for it.Many times.I chase the story so I can escape having to face my own.But this one is different. This story will make my career. My life.Or it will end it.The Sons of Templar MC. The most notorious and dangerous outlaw motorcycle club in the country. And I’m going to get the scoop.Or I’ll die trying.
I’m seriously at a loss for words and just have no idea what to say in this review. Nothing I can say will even hit on a fraction of what I just read. My mind is reeling. I know that everytime I read Anne Malcom’s books that the writing is extremely exquisite… perfection. I’m always left feeling complete and my heart is so full, but yet, my heart feels so sad. It’s kind of similar to melancholy and I really don’t understand it besides the fact that Anne Malcom’s novel is over.
I feel like Deadline to Damnation was even more than all the other books in this series… more destruction, more lies, more secrets, more blood, more of our previous characters that we know and love, and more sex or perhaps it felt like more because the emotions were just so much… more!!! I felt like we get a deeper sense of this story… I had an odd feeling through most of the book… like my heart was stuck in my thoat. I just felt so much through Anne Malcom’s words. She really writes/creates some amazing characters. Caroline and Jagger are extremely flawed and pretty messed up but isn’t that life now-a-days? There’s so much bad… so much pain in life that I just really appreciate Miss Malcom’s honest approach, brutally honest or not, it feels real and I appreciate that it isn’t perfect.
I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that… my opinions.
4.5 stars
Whoa, raw naked emotion, that’s what you’ll get from this book! When I started this book I didn’t realize it was the 7th (yes, 7th) in a series, and as I’d never read the author, I neither knew the back stories of the club, nor the author’s style. While I’ve read 100’s of MC novels, I don’t believe I’ve read one quite this visceral. I don’t mean the blood and gore – those are always there,I’m referring to the gut wrenching, soul shattering thin edge between love and hate. Caroline and Jagger’s is not for the faint hearted; it’s both shockingly ugly and stunningly beautiful. But it’s also redemptive.
I must now go read the stories of the men and women I fell in love with in the Sons of Templar, even though I know my heart will break.

Caroline is a journalist that has decided the way to a story is to infiltrate the Sons of Templar MC. While she saw some of what she expected, what she did not expect was to discover that one of the brothers; Jagger, is actually Liam, her long thought dead fiancé. Supposed to be killed in action while on tour in Afghanistan, Caroline and Liam’s family had “buried” him 14 years earlier, and her life was never the same again. She became a war correspondent, becoming a household name when it came to reporting on the wars taking place in the middle east. They were nothing though compared with the wars she faces when the club discover who she is, who she is to Liam and the literal war that is heading for the club. A place she’s now not allowed to leave thanks to her betrayal.
This was such a good story. The reunion, the club issues, the flashbacks, all of it was just fantastic and really dragged me in. I hope there will be more to come because yet again Anne Malcom gave us a 5 star read. One point I will make is that Anne has a spin off series called the Greenstone Security series and I think the enemy in this was established in one of those, so maybe give those a read too. I didn’t and while it didn’t ruin anything for me, I think I might have gotten the full effect of what is going on better if I had that background story.
I’m on a book hangover! This series definitely needs to be read in a specific order. Although I might just need a drink after reading these 13 plus books in 10 days. Why? Because they are huge; massive! However, they are beautiful, have humor, faults, drama and love. Every book has a topic, demon or ideal that is raw and real. Anne has created a dynasty.
*A TOP READ OF 2019*
*MUST READ*
*FOREVER FAVORITE*
THIS. BOOK. Y’ALL.
This author never ceases to amaze me with her words. I tend to say that with every book she’s written is her best… the reason for that is because it’s absolutely true. The writing in this story is phenomenal. This is definitely storytelling at it’s finest.
This story will rip you apart and put you right back together. I yelled, I cried, I gasped in shock, my heart broke…
I could honestly ramble about this story all day, but I refuse to spoil anything. What I will say is that you NEED this book. You need it in your life. This is a must read. I HIGHLY recommend it.
10 STAR READ!!!
Anne Malcom has done it again, the seventh book in the Sons of Templar series and Anne has gone to a completely new level of epicness!
There are no words to describe just how much this book got to me. It was goodbye life while I lock myself away and let Caroline and Jagger’s story consume me in the best way.
My heart broke for the loss, the love and the raw and emotional life journey that they had both endured.
This will have you crying so hard, but loving the intesity of the characters and the conversations with the Sons of Templar men and their women.
Anne managed to rip my heart out, put it through the wringer and then put it back together with her beautifully written words.
This is in my forever favourite reads!

Deadline to Damnation is the seventh instalment in the Sons of Templar Series and is a very dark story full of love, loss, and second chances. This series has just grown and grown with each book released and I for one love it.
Liam and Caroline’s story is not easy to read. Jagger is a character that has always intrigued me and I so badly wanted to know his story. In Deadline to Damnation we find out his past and how he has become the man he is today. Caroline is set to get her story no matter what she has to do or how much she puts herself in danger. The story always comes first until she meets Liam.. Again.
“The truth was a bully we all pretended to like.”
This is such a dark, raw, twisted and so very emotional book. My heart was in my mouth for the last 50% of this book. I highly recommend reading it, you won’t be disappointed.
Please read this series in order to avoid spoilers! Start with #1 Making the Cut.
Anne Malcom’s best Sons story to date! Not only are both Caroline and Jagger characters I truly love, but the story culminates in epically heart wrenching scenes with characters from previous stories. And then another scene when Liam makes a very chard choice… Big big tears…
5+ BEAUTIFUL ADDICTING STARS!! This book will be in my top 10 for 2019. What beautiful heartbreaking story that touched all of my heart. Jagger and Caroline’s story was truly one of the best books I have read this year. Anne Malcom has written herself into my top 3 authors ever….Her words are like a drug, I can never get enough. You must 1-Click this book, so do it now.
Every new release that Anne Malcom has, I get more and more shocked at how amazing of a writer she truly is.
This author is definitely like a bottle of wine—the longer she writes, the better she gets.
I absolutely adored Deadline to Damnation, but I also hated the emotional turmoil it put me through. I was so freaking anxious at one point. I honestly had no clue which way this story was going to end. Whose lives would continue and who was going to die.
The second you grab this book, it’s really impossible to stop until the last page.
Jagger was not an easy man to love, I’ll tell you that. I understood why he did what he did—I truly did. Yet, with that being said, it didn’t make me any less angry for so many people. The road to loving this character was tough, though that’s always to be expected with the more broken and tortured characters this author gives us.
Caroline was a woman I understood so much. I got why she turned out the way she did. How losing a loved one so drastically could epically change a person. But I wouldn’t have been able to do that without the author paving the way.
That’s what Malcom does. She not only gives us stories, she makes us feel like if we’re the ones on the ride.
This wasn’t an easy love story, and I absolutely loved every single page of it.
I wish it didn’t have to end, I wish I could ask for an infinite amount of Jagger and Peaches. Definitely the author’s best work in her Sons of Templar series.
You know those books, the ones you can’t put down because you want to finish the book, NEED to finish the book, but you put it down to prolong the inevitable because you don’t want to be finished with the book. THIS is one of those books.
The feeling of dread is thick from the minute you read the first page. Sure it may have something to do with it being a SOT story, because it’s what we’ve come to know, and love from our guys and their women, but it’s more than that. Deeper than that. My first thought was that Jagger and Caroline were broken, but that’s not true. If one is broken, that means that they can be mended, fixed. There’s no such thing with these two. The more I read, the more I felt, believed they’re not broken, they’re damned. The things they’ve endured, unimaginable. Yet, they continue putting one foot in front of the other, until they come face to face. That’s where the real story starts, the past comes rushing back just to hit them with a punch that would have knocked out most others, but not these two. Their road is anything but smooth, but it’s theirs and they’re travelling it. Along the way, we revisit some old friends. This series truly is like visiting with old friends, no matter how long it’s been since the last time.
A great addition to this series.
Full of mc family loyality, passion and protectivness.
Caraoline is after a story, she didnt expect to come face to face with a ghost from her past. Jagger never expected to see his peaches again especially at his club but now that he has he cant let her go, his love for her has never gone away.
A true raw love that is rekindled after so many years apart.
Loved having all the characters from previous books make an appereance, the way they come together to protect each other is remarkable.
So there is so much going on in this book. This series has been building up to something really big and we finally get it, but it may tear the MC apart. So much is going on in this book there is love, loss, heartache, redemption, war, pain, suffering and a happy ending that Caroline and Liam/Jagger deserve.
Years ago both Caroline and Liam thought they had their lives all figured out, marriage and kids, until tragedies struck them both, which changed and defined their current lives.
Caroline built her life around always seeking the truth, being a journalist it would bring her to dangerous places where ugly is all there is. After promising her sister that she would no longer be putting her life in dangerous situations she sets her sights on the Sons of Templer MC, having no idea that the moment she walks into their compound she would be in more danger than she ever was in war torn countries.
Jagger found the Sons when he was at his lowest after losing everything he held dear. He was willing to do whatever was needed to because he had nothing to loose and keeping his brothers safe was all that mattered. Then one night in a dark alley with bold on his hands everything changed and he was faced with his past heartache.
Both Jagger and Caroline are strong, damaged and fearless people that go through so much to get to where they are able to move on from the past of heartache, betrayal and pain.
I can’t recommend this book enough! We get to go on a hell of an emotional roller coaster with the two main characters that is just phenomenal, we get to see some of the previous characters from other books and we are also introduced to some new character’s. I was hooked from the beginning to the end, I couldn’t get enough, but once I finished I WANTED more!
Omg what an emotional roller coaster! Deadline to Damnation had me feeling alllll the feels. After reading Hollow Hearts, I knew this book was going to be brutal. It definitely did not disappoint! Jagger and Caroline’s story is devastating and beautiful. Probably my favorite in the Sons of Templar series, which has been amazing. If you like MC reads, you simply cannot miss this series. Highly, highly recommend!
While I might be vigorously sleep deprived, my heart is so full. Sleep, food, and air are basically irrelevant when it comes to satiating my body with the words of this book. Deadline to Damnation by Anne Malcom is the seventh book of the Sons of Templar series. And if you have been an avid supporter of this series, you will understand the significance and importance of this novel. And while each novel of the series can be read as standalones, I strongly suggest reading the previous installments before this one, to really feel the powerful effect this book emits.
An awe-inspiring novel that is about so much more than an MC romance. It’s about brotherhood, family, tragedy, secrets, second chances, forgiveness and love. It’s a book that encompasses everything and I think it’s that’s what makes it such a unique book. By far the best book I’ve read this year because I have never felt this way about a book before. It’s mysterious, strange and, at one point, worrying. I started reading this book after a restless evening and didn’t put it down until 8 am the next morning. It’s so good. I am filled with so much gratitude, so much pain, and love, that I revel in this feeling. I may not have known it at the time but this was something I didn’t know I needed.
I can’t tell you how much I cried during this book. Not only because the angst in this book is excruciating but I cried at the sweet moments as well. In a world dominated by violence, anger, and monsters; it’s so rare to see ‘sweet’ and my heart couldn’t take it. They are always judged so harshly for the loud bikes they ride, the tattoos on their skin and the blood on their hands. But the thing about Malcom’s anti-heroes is the softness in their eyes when they’re with their women, the protective instinct that rivals cavemen and the ability to be loved and give love so raw and real, one is unable to remain unaffected.
I went in blind. The only thing I knew was that it was Jagger’s story. And what a beautifully tragic story it was. I have always been intrigued by Jagger and discovering how he got to be the way he was, blew my mind. I won’t say much because I refuse to spoil the experience for you, but his story was huge! It totally wrecked me, there was so much hate, regret & pain. What do you do when your past comes back to haunt you, but it comes back a completely different person? When your past was the reason why you’re so broken in the first place? How do you even face them? Or even think about the approach to forgiveness? It’s such rollercoaster ride but I devoured every single word like the addict I am. I’m pretty sure I’ve highlighted the entire book too.
And I can’t even begin to tell you how strong the heroine is, as are all of Malcom’s heroines. She is fierce, calm and collected in the face of death, so sassy, strong-willed and filled with so much pain. She is an independent woman that I want to be when I grow up (sidenote: the female empowerment in this book is freaking awesome). My absolute favourite part was getting to see all the characters from the previous books again, getting to delve back into their heads and experience their love stories all over again. Omg, I died! My favourite book of the series and one I’ll never forget. I can’t wait until everyone gets to experience what I’m talking about for themselves. Bravo Anne Malcom! You have come so far and deserve all the blessings life has to offer.
I went into this book without reading the first six books.
It wasn’t hard to follow, but it was an interconnected stand alone. Best to read the others first.
I’m not the biggest fan of MC, mostly because what I’d previously read always came across as a cut and paste from SOA episodes.
Anne has put so much heart and soul into this book, it’s definitely standing on its own merit.
Caroline is a really strong heroine and I just really admired her. Jagger has a past full of secrets. Will he be able to win Caroline back after breaking her heart in the most obscenely hurtful way?
The side characters are great as well. There’s a lot of typical MC violence, but the story between Caroline and Jagger overrides all that.
Note: The POV changes from 1st person with Caroline to 3rd person with Jagger. The shift was very seamless, easy to follow and didn’t bother me after the second or third time. That’s coming from someone who ABHORS 3rd pov.
A truly amazing story from start to finish! Be prepared though it will touch you!!! Highly recommended!!!
I am a new Anne Malcolm fan. I started with her Sons of Templar Series and I love these characters. This is Jagger and Caroline’s story. A story of first love, love lost and then found again. I has all the feels. I enjoyed this beautiful story and definitely recommend every one read this series. A favorite read for 2019.
I have to say that this one is the best one yet in the series. These books just keep getting better sms better. You won’t be disappointed in this one.
Honestly, HOLY CRAP THIS BOOK! The anticipation leading up to this story and battle I was expecting, but the aftermath I was totally not! I truly have no words, Anne’s books just keep getting better and better. After experiencing the loss of a lifetime that changed her life forever, Caroline works as a journalist who does whatever needed to get the story out to the public. While undercover in her latest story, she is presented with the ghost who changed the course of her life more than once. Jagger has been living a shell of a life since he returned home from being overseas, dealing with the somewhat permanent decisions he made at an emotional and broken time. This story is pretty much two stories in one; we get the full story of past, present and future of Caroline and Jagger, but we also get the anticipated battle between Fernandez and the Sons, and it is an emotional one for sure. One of the best parts of this book that Anne brought us was her ablility to really tell two stories in one. While the focus was Caroline and Jagger, we also got to hear from our favorite couples and characters from previous books, and it made it such a unique read. I loved this book but also can’t wait for the next installment, because while the battle ended, that ending brought up so many more questions of what was to come for them!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
