It’s been three long years since Deadbreak. That’s what everyone’s calling it – the day the dead rose. Every day since then Jeremiah Reid has had one goal: to make his way back to his daughter. With his four-legged companion, Joe, Jeremiah has to travel a lawless wasteland teeming with zombies, bandits, and worse, like people who put anchovies on pizza (you know who you are). It’s a new world out … world out there and no one is safe. People are weary, cities are in ruin, supplies are scarce, and brains are on the menu. If he’s going to have a chance, he’ll need his wits, a little bit of luck, and lots of ammo.

Great Read.
Ok so I read ALOT. And while waiting for my very long list of followed authors to pop out my next fix I read suggested material and some features that pop up on here. Some are hit and miss, some I stop 3 chapters in and wonder if it’s cliff notes version of a real story. However I found this little gem yesterday and it is THE best thing I’ve read in a few weeks. Gritty, funny, great characters, zombies, bad guys and more guns and one liners than you can shake a rotten limb at. Highly suggest it. ★★★★★
One of the best zombie books I’ve read in a long time.
I’ve loved the zombie genre for a long time, but, for me, they have to be about the people, rather than the zombies as the #1 focus. These are disaster stories, and how the people get through them. This had everything I want in a zombie book: great characters, good dialogue, a story that progresses. Too often they break down to kill zombie, blood everywhere, on to next fight. This has characters who remind me of what one of the best, Mark Tufo, does. ★★★★★
A well written stand alone book.
Sure it is post zombie apocalypse, but does that mean one can’t find a witty main character with a loyal dog making their way across the country like a couple of pinball trouble magnets on a quest? Well worth the read. ★★★★★

“This is the greatest book ever written in the history of books. And writing. A billion stars.” – Author’s Mom.
“Will you please stop pestering me? Fine, I’ll write you a review. Two stars, because someone forgot to load the dishwasher again.” – Author’s Wife.

I grabbed this book out of curiosity. I taught ESL to newcomers, and I wanted to know how the author with the hispanic last name wrote. I was so impressed with this book. I don’t usually like zombie books, movies, TV shows, etc., but this book is awesome! His writing is superb. I loved it! Immediately went looking for other books by this author, but didn’t find any. If you are out there Jorge Sanchez, I am anxiously awaiting your next book.
I laughed, I cried I almost lost my lunch/dinner and I still could NOT stop reading this! I want more!
This book was odd. I really enjoyed parts and hated parts. Overall good read
Good read! Ready for some more!
Good escapist reading. Sarcastic lead character. If you like the zombie genre, this ranks with J L Bourne. Really enjoyed
Just a fun book.
It is hard to give this a good review. Downloaded from Amazon to my Kindle it was missing several pages. Almost every chapter at the beginning of the chapter pages would be missing. There was enough to get the main idea of the story and enjoyed the story. I recommend the book if you can get all of the book.
A wonderful take on the zombie apocalypse! The hero is funny with A twisted sense of humor. This will definitely be a reread for me in the future and I’d love more books in this Deadbreak world.
Good read. Kept me interested.
Excellent read! The setting and action kept you tied to the story. You had to find out what happened next.
I really enjoyed reading this book. The main character is funny and quirky enough to make light of life in a pretty dark world. makes for an enjoyable read.
Great story. Characters you could identify with. Believable situations and plausible solutions to problems.
It kept me interested all the way couldn’t put it down
Awesome book! – I will make this short. This is a great read for anyone who likes action, not just zombies or end of days stuff. The writing was just great, the main character you root for and appreciate his strength, wit, humor and sarcasm. He talks to and for his dog, which is awesome and funny! It’s action packed from start to finish…will he ever get a break? You will have to read it to find out!
I assume there will be a sequel. Very good read but ended with us wanting to know what was to come.
Surprisingly entertaining. Page turner at times. Kept me up at night. Characters are believable. Author is great. Thumbs up, way up.
This book is hilarious! It’ll definitely make you laugh. The characters are pretty good and it builds up as you go, keeping your interest.
Jeremiah Reid, zombie slayer and accidental hero, stirs up the action in this apocalyptic tale of survival. Seriously, how many misadventures can one man survive? Evidently a lot. Enough attention to detail to make the story believable and draw the reader in; fast moving action that almost turns the pages by itself. I am a fan.
This an excellent book. Loved the characters and the bits of humor thrown in. Loved that the main character talked for his dog. Any dog owner knows what their dog is saying with their looks and the main character voices this! I’m going to have to read this one again it was that enjoyable.
The only thing I did not like about the book was so much profanity. It would have been a very good read without it. It was entertaining.
