A bit slow to get started, but once you do get going, the fun doesn’t stop for the rest of the series! It’s a very diverse cast of characters that don’t fit the “usual” paranormal formula. Very original and interesting concept. I read them all straight through.

This was the 1st booo and I almost put it down because Rachael was so stupid. But I am soooo glad I didn’t! The series was fantastic! I loved every book more and more! Such a great story. I highly recommend reading this and continuing all the way to the end.
Love all the books one of my favorite writers. Books are funny and entertaining. Heroine has a good heart tries to do the right thing has times of failings like most people can relate to. Never a dull or slow page !!!

Kim Harrison is a brand new find for me and I’m sooo happy to have found her. Quirky, funny, imaginative, Dead Witch Walking was a great, refreshing change of what I normally read. Rachel is such a great character, ethical, smart, and strong. I pushed myself to read the book in two days. The magical arts are fascinating!
I’ve read the first five or six books in this series several times. Rachel Morgan and her friends make an amazing cast of characters and the pages are filled with action, wit, and incredible world-building. Don’t expect an HEA; it’s urban fantasy, not romance–but that doesn’t make the series any less satisfying. Highly recommend this one.
First book of a fantastic series. Witches, vampires, elves, werewolves, black magic, just for starters. Rachel will make you face palm a lot. But you’ll still love her.

This is the first of the Hallows series and it got me started down the path of reading every every Kim Harrison book. The author has created a unique and interesting world filled with witches, humans, vampires, elves, pixies and more. Rachel, the main character is strong yet flawed and was well written. I thoroughly enjoyed the book.
