All the creatures of the night gather in “the Hollows” of Cincinnati, to hide, to prowl, to party… and to feed.
Vampires rule the darkness in a predator-eat-predator world rife with dangers beyond imagining — and it’s Rachel Morgan’s job to keep that world civilized.
A bounty hunter and witch with serious sex appeal and an attitude, she’ll bring ‘em back alive, dead… or undead.
This series was an urban fantasy masterpiece! I can’t wait to read it all over again. <3
I think this would like a kickass movie.
I’ve been meaning to try this series for a little bit now and I have to say so far I am not disappointed. We get a female lead that is funny, confident, strong, underappreciated, and an awesome witch. She lives in a world where paranormal and humans mix after a bio-engineered virus takes out most of the humans. She quits her job which essentially …
Enjoy Urban Fantasy? How about action, mystery, and plenty of humor? This series has i all! Rachel, a (usually) likable witch who gets involved in one misadventure after another, her pixie side-kick Jinx, and brooding vampire Ivy. I started this series on the recommendation of a friend and despite my skepticism, was immediately hooked. I’m too …
A classic urban fantasy. Great series!
A kick ass heroine who also has her vulnerable moments. Love the characters and world Kim created. Not only did I stay up late to finish this story, I have already bought the next 5 in the series.
enjoyed all these books
Kim Harrison built a great alternate timeline of earth, where witches, demons and other paranormal beings exist in our modern society.
I enjoyed Rachel’s point of view in these books, and her snarky humor and badass skills.
This review is really for this whole series. The Hollows books are favorites of mine. I particularly like ‘magic’ books, and this series vies with Jim Butcher’s Dresden series for my favorite paranormal reads. They’re very exciting with tons of action, and the character development and dialogue are equally good. I was very glad that I started …
An oldie but a goodie
I loved this book. It was funny, different and a great paranormal read.
I love the interaction between the three principle characters. I’ve even adopted “For the love of Tink,” into my everyday language, though it does get me some very strange looks. There are a couple of phrases the author uses that make me cringe a little, like “a smile curved over me,” but this is super minor compared to the wonderful world and …
After reading this book I had to read the whole series!
Loved this book!
Probably the best urban fantasy series I’ve ever read.
I have this complete series and loved every minute of reading them. Kim Harrison has a wonderful gift of putting people together that make interactive end.interesting things happen. If you like the supernatural world this book will hook.you!
Kim Harrison’s Hollows series is a fave of mine. I love Rachel, the main character, and all her friends as well as her enemies! Harrison has created a wonderful world and kept it fun and interesting throughout the series.
Really enjoyed this series. Highly recommend
One of my favorite authors and series.
The Hollows series, all the books were great. I liked them all. I think there are 13 or so.
